  • nice story .. keep it up !!!

  • If you were not spending $60 on a cell phone, then you would have some extra money. Minimum wags should be lowered to $3 an hour so employers can afford to hire those with out a college degree. Most union workers do not have a college degree and way over paid as it is not fare to those with a college degree. Want more money, get a college degree!

  • I agree with him completely, minimum wage should be atleast 10 dollars an hour, not 7. You cannot live on 20K income.

  • this guy seems so intelligent i have so much respect for him

  • amerika IS GOING DOWN BECAUSE OF THE BANKSTERS AND YOU ALL ARE GOING TO BE HOMELESS IN THE "LAND OF pLENTY",,,A TINY MINORITY OF SUPER RICH ELITE AT THE TOP, WITH THEIR MILITARY/POLICE ENFORCERS

PROTECTING THEM, JUST LIKE IN MEXICO...

  • " I'm so busy i dont have time to look for a job " Hey don't worry about it. there are a lot of us busting our butts every day so you losers can be on the Obama plan. I guess i'll just have to work a little harder so u people dont have to.

  • I made a technical mistake and responded to my own comment in the comment that begins with, "I just viewed on of the videos in your Favorites titled... I meant to direct that message @ skeletonmom not at myself. Personally I love God in Jesus Christ Holy name, Amen. B.GLenn

  • The waste of human potential and brainpower in this country is staggering. Eric has an amazing mind, yet he is homeless. What a waste. Fortunately, he is using his skills to the best of his ability, in spite of his difficult circumstances.

  • @elainebmack Hello, you say Mr. Eric has an amazing mind, yet he is homeless. I ask you, "Are you willing to help homeless men and women utilize their minds by helping them better their situation or are you just looking down on them as though you're better than they are because you have a home to go to everyday?" B.GLenn

  • @etalutargnoc . I'm not looking down on anyone, and gave no indication of that in my comment. The point I was making is that a person with such a strong sense of self and a good mind should not be sitting in a shelter, but be employed in such a way that their skills reach more people and go even further. As for your presumption that I have a home to go to, I do now, but didn't 6 months ago. I was homeless too.

  • @elainebmack Let's just pray God in Jesus Christ Holy name for everyone in need and try to help everyone we can individually, Amen.

  • @etalutargnoc . I certainly will. Thank you.

  • @elainebmack Ms./Mrs. Elaine I sincerely apologize for misinterpreting your comment. I just have a special place in my heart for the Homeless Community and people in need in general. Please forgive me for my misunderstanding. Congratulations on your new home :) God bless you and your family in Jesus Christ Holy name I pray, Amen. B.GLenn

  • No more mega-mansions-affordable flats for people (or rooming houses), more public transportation that has more routes that services more people, affordable HEALTHY food for everyone, preventable healthcare/healthcare education, more freecycle and neighbor lending/sharing of household goods so everyone wont do without while something that can be used doesnt sit in an attic somewhere, etc, etc...lets not wait for the government, lets do what we can for each other, even if its small.

  • @skeletonmom Gee, we used to have that when FDR's New Deal was in full force! We didn't have the need for so much public assistance because the PWA, CCC, and WPA work programs provided plenty of real work for people at all skill levels! The vast majority of our labor force today is being squandered doing make-believe work in I.T., MLM scams, predatory work in finance, repos, and loan sharking, junk jobs, McJobs, Bush's Police State, or be among the 23% unemployed for the rest.

    That is wrong!

  • @skeletonmom . Yours is a recipe for a decent, liveable society.

  • @elainebmack - Thanks, Elaine. We gotta stop being so scared of and angry at one another. Community needs to come back to humanity...it is the least we can do for future generations.

  • @skeletonmom . I agree. In the end, it doesn't really matter what party is in control, who is president, in Congress, the Senate, whatever, if people don't look out for each other. It's having a sense of community and helping each other that will save this country and society. If we treat each other right, we will survive hard times, and create good times for all regardless of race, color, or creed.

  • @elainebmack - Beautifully said, Elaine!

  • @skeletonmom Hello, your heart is in the right place. God Bless you and your family in Jesus Christ Holy name I pray, Amen.

  • @etalutargnoc I just viewed one of the videos in your Favorites titled, "Creative Blasphemy" posted by u-tuber ThelronAtheist in which he lies and curses the Holy name of Christ Jesus. I still feel your heart is in the right place concerning the comment you made pertaining to people helping each other, but I see the first impression of a person is not always the true perception! B.GLenn

  • @etalutargnoc - I am not Christian, however, your blessing is very sweet-thank you, Etalutargnoc! Merry Meet and Blessed be to you, my fellow sibling of the world. :D

  • is ashamed why the government do not help these people

  • @tonydmen1 Waiting for the government has proven to be a waste of time. People must band together and help each other.

  • good man

  • i can totally relate. alot of ppl think that most the adovates for the homeless are paid for and from college, which some are, but infact, others, are just regular folks, the ones who have been or still are homeless...we advocate cuz we know how it is and what to say and do. i admire him and only wish we all thought and felt the same and could "name" it better and end it faster.

  • 16 years?? Poor dude...reminds me of one of the phrases from Tale of two cities "Buried for how long?" "18 years" or something like that

  • @TheSlender100 - You know that family can give you a run for your money. X-D

  • Its Awfull How things are Wishing For the Best

  • One of the best interviews by far. I wish the best for the majority of the people on this channel, but it sounds like this guy is really putting his all into what he is doing. He is trying hard and advocating for others like him. He also seems knowledgeable and seems like someone who has the potential to do so much, it's a sham that he is homeless. But without homeless people like him to serve as an advocate, there would be no hope for the rest. Keep up the good work Eric!

  • he is very intelligent.

  • I respect u sir.MOST

  • A friend told me this and it makes so much sense to me "If Con is the opposite of Pro, Congress is the opposite of..."

  • @SuperAwesomo9000 . Great point!

  • never went to college? no, u went to Life University, the best university out there, and u definitely got a phD, keep working hard, ur wishes will come true

  • If we gave free housing in America people from around the world would come to America to get a free home. The fact is people i understand you want to be compassionate, but how is the country going to pay for it when our Government is overspending. The fact is the people in our country don't elect responsible Politicians, because America isn't the best place for responsibility. Go back to watching American Idol, Jersey Shore and Sports.

  • @AllTheSame711 . Here's a suggestion - cut back on military occupation and American imperialism. There's plenty of money for what people in this country need, but it's all ging for military spending and bailing out "too big too fail" corporations. I think America is too big to fail, eyt its happening before our eyes.

  • hm, the guy is quite intelligent, he is trying to help other homeless people and is pointing out the obvious flaws in the system.I wish him the best of luck.

  • His teeth look clean. This is what I focus on when I look at the homeless.

you can see if the person is a drug addict or one that actually takes care of themselves.

  • Very intelligent, likeable and knowledgable guy.

  • The rent's are just too high. People will have to double/triple up. IF your family isn't too dysfunctional people need to unite with their extended family.

  • Education doesn't come strictly from a huge institution. Education comes from true knowledge. This man is wise beyond any classroom.

  • I'm a believer in socializing many things, but "de-comodifying" residential property is the Soviet Union.

  • he sounds smarter than most of the employed idiots i know

  • This guy is ridiculously smart. He's SERIOUSLY done his research. WOW. Great job on this interview, thank you!

  • @oblivian448 HEEEEY WATS UP OBLIVIAN ITS ARSENE FROM MSN X D DIDNT KNOW U WATCHED THIS :p:p

  • Solutions are hard to come by but ever see those motels in Japan they rent a cubical to businessmen they have a space that is basically a bunk not a lot of room but you have privacy cause you can close the door behind you and get some sleep. Places like DC are so hard to come up with answers rent that high is opressive I would leave those areas. Go where there is reasonable rent and jobs. If no jobs definately leave there.

  • @cdltpx Those pod hotels in Japan are even traditionally expensive for most, and in most cases - they are just designed for men to sober up in before going home or to work. But, yes - I'd agree that they would be an amazing model for a better homeless shelter bed idea.

  • but why dont u give em atlest a dollar u cheap ass!

  • @oblivian448 They give socks to everyone they interview.

  • @oblivian448 Personally I would offer him a ride outta DC to a place where he can locate a job and get a reasonable rental price. You never know that dude might be HL cause he is a perpetual tourists could you imagine to have at fingertips the LOCongress Smithsonian other things that are only in DC. IDK if there is a charge to go to places like that. I want to visit there one day passed through many times what I saw from a distance peaked my interest when my diability starts I will save 2 go.

  • poor man

  • god bless eric
