let me teach you something about the basics.

the 32gb or 8 gb is the amount space on the hard disc which can contain data. The difference in this case is that the 32 has 4x more space to overwrite.

then, the difference between the 3g and 3gs is the CPU or processor(whatever you want) This unit defines the speed of the processing of data. So that is what is different, and what makes a difference in speed

iOS 3 doesn't have the multitasking in it do you cant double tap the home button to close the apps.

I know why some of the apps were slower..If you double tap the home button it brings up the apps you are running, soo when you open an app that your phone is running then it would be faster then one that has just been opended. To stop running it and not waste battery life i suggest you double tap home, hold one of the apps untill it shakes and hit the - sign in the top left corner to close the app completely and not waste your battery.

It's the same for iPhones. The 32 has a faster operating time because it has more memory space. The limited space on the 8 slows it down immensely.

So glad to have gotten rid of my Iphone 3g. Applications load extremely slow and screen is tiny. My Samsung focus windows 7 phone smokes it. A buddy of mine had the 3gs which had that dumb download that made you stop the application from running in the background. Phone was slower than mine but he had such a H@rd on for Apple products, he held onto it.
