you dont download the sdk to an iPhone or iPod touch any version. You download it to a Mac to create the app there.

The iPhone is still missing GPS, 3G, full support for MMS, the ability to record video, and the ability to use it as a modem. Once the iPhone gets all these feature, then I will move over, until then I will stay with my WM6 phone that can do all this now, and for $100 less than the iphone. If they could get all that into the phone, I think it would almost be the perfect device. It still sucks there is no user replaceable battery. Maybe the HiPhone would do better....

Well with the SDK, why dont you just develop MMS and video recording apps. You have access to the camera, the network and the address book.

3G is coming, but frankly safari on EDGE is faster then most 3G phones are now...safari renders much better then the rest...theres less latency with EDGE then there is on 3G. Jobs is looking toward 4G anyways...WiMax.

Developers have already created a small dongle GPS for the dock connector on the iphone, they just needed the SDK to write the UI.
