thanks for this vid. There are too many women native and non native a like that are subjected to such treatment. For someone who is someone's sister, mother, or daughter it happens too often with no one stepping out and doing something. I mean do something safely but do something. its time to air the dirty laundry that has been hidden for so long
Thank you, thank you, thank you, for calling out the "warriors" in our Native American culture who will look away from a "family matter". My mom in an NDN Woman Super Hero!! She raised three of us unruly kids to be solid citizens. Along the way, she was raped, beaten, and treated as if she was disposable. She is not disposable!! She is the mother of a man who is hard wired to keep trying for his kids. She is a businesswoman. She doesn't even recognize her past. Nor do I!!!
Thank you, this speaks for so many of the women in my life, including myself. This is a reality for us. Listening was hard, but it is necessary to educate people who have absolutly no idea about whats happening to our people.

Who is protecting Native women? Apparently no one, because abuse of Native women is "epidemic". Deadly beatings, sexual assaults and stalking are perpetrated by mostly white men against Native women - those are the facts.
AND, this is not only happening in Indian Country; epidemic means nationwide.
Warriors, your charge is to stand up for women, and to protect them - will you answer the call?
@skewbuh We lost our territory because we were killed or forced off. Now when we try to fight, the government does an excellent job of hiding it from the public. The reason why the federal government fights so hard to cover up things like this is because they still remain on lands that are not theirs. They are afraid of Indigenous peoples. We do demand sovereignty and we do cry. We've been crying for hundreds of years. People just don't see it. Out of sight, out of mind.
shit, goosebumps and tears.
but y can't whites be prosecuted by tribal governments? Bluntly said: They attacked the tribe, so they should be judged by the tribe.
Plain simple, isn't it? Works in other countries too...

>cry when the laws that don't effect reservations don't help females on reservations
No wonder you lost all your territory with logic like that.
