Amazing video, like the first part, feels really objective. Has an error at 1:22, though, the segment on syncing cuts and the video restarts. Also, cuts the segment off too early and jumps to the next one unexpectedly. Other than that, superb.
@iMlindberg even though that was the Motto early on for wp7, people love spending time with wp7 and with the mango update its looking even more delicious
iphone and android only have twitter integrated everything else you gotta open an app for this and an app for that wp7 simplifies it for you. also built in is text to speech just hit one button and you never have to text again to get that in iphone and android you need to open app also with wp7 text to sppech it not only works for text somebody it also works for social sites as well so you can text to speech and social site too. Integration is the future of smartphone not apps
@iMlindberg wp7 is an integrated phone, for example with windows phone 7 you have Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, msn live and you can chat to anyone directly from your phone on a single page with ever using an app like iphone and android, not only that your phone will also tell you when the person you are talking to if they went offline or went from which social network to what social network and how to reach them right away the phone does all that for you.
and I thought I would point out that iPhone does not take like 3 hours to sync.. your computer must be pathetic. on my mac and my windows computer it takes about 1m 10s at most to sync. and syncing on iOS with iTunes is actually really good if you know how to use iTunes to it's full potential.
I love my iPhone , and I wouldn't swap it for anything .. but I have to say that if I had to get another phone because iOS suddenly stopped working or my iphone got destroyed and I couldn't afford another one , wp7 is FAR ahead of android and blackberry. I mean both apple and microsofts os's are based on their desktop os's .. which are the most used (windows) and most advanced( mac os x) in the world.

Get an iPhone, get Dreamboard, use Blackberry or Windows fronts. Sorted. WP7 looks better, but on an Android or iPhone it looks better. Trust me. I love my iPhone but the interface is shit. The interface of WP7 is WAY nicer...
That was a really good unbiased review. I'm on an iPhone 3G at the moment, and I'm tired of the slow speeds and the phone in general. Do you know if there is a WP7 equivalent of Cydia/Installous? I normally buy my apps, but they are too expensive in WP7.
games, probably the best i've seen on a phone. especially fruit ninja, love that game. texts. im not sure if it's my lazy fingers or what, but it's not too great with text entry, the windows phone. i get typos quite a lot. but i admit that T9 is CRAZY good. notifications. i agree with you, the windows phone should have a reminder on the notifications. camera, iphone is way better quality-wise, i believe. the focus isn't that great at all. overall? im a freak for windows phone ;) nice vid, man.

wp7 is like ios and android is like symbian. wp7 and ios are dumbed down a lot. i've used samsung focus and lg quantum but i couldn't stand the square tiles and the dull fonts they chose.
im a fan of ps3 and android. but wp7 makes me want to buy a windows phone and buy an xbox because that integration is just incredible. i think integration is something Microsoft have really perfected. its the like the big Microsoft products are Windows, Office, Zune, xbox and now Windows phone 7, and whats great is that for phones and pc's, all of their products are integrated. its great. can wait to see what windows 8 brings to integration on both phones and pc's

NoDo update fixes slow game loading. If you havent got nodo see if you can get an unbranded rom like i did for my mozart now it has nodo. no more waiting for orange :D

Just a few comments: You mention possible fragmentation for the Windows Phone 7 platform. That is not a possibility thanx to the minimum requirements set by Microsoft that will ensure that we have a minimum performance on all phones. Also, custom UIs and other stuff that have messed up the Android in the past are just not possible - only a handful of custom apps (uninstallable) are permitted by handset manufacturers and carriers. Also, you didn't mention the lock screen notifications on WP7.
Do you think that game like N.o.v.a. or Rage HD could be ported to wp7? Do you think that some of the games on the iphone could be played on wp7 device, legally or otherwise, ie jailbreaking?
You can be nervous for the iphone lol just because 80% of the millions of games existent for xbox and pc using can be ported to wp7 devices...Microsof promissed monthly ported games, the peach of Microsoft games is because they use a universal programming language XNA a developer only as to do the code core once, and just adjust the input controls for each target device
btw, on ios (any version), aft you played heavy game (aft you closed it properly), u phone performance is freaking slow!!... dunno wheter apple know abt clean state...

Assassins Creed looks the same on Android as it does on winpho 7. But come on, in terms of graphics, nothing, and I mean no platform tops that of the retina resolution of the iPhone 4/iPod 4th gen. Just look at Spiderman or Gangstar, the endless racing games, or beautiful tower games, etc. that the App Store carries. Maybe you haven't played AC before, but it's an older Gameloft game that looks pretty much the same on any device it's been on. I'm not being bias either, I'm an daily Android user.
the only thing confirmed in the Jan update is copy and paste. everything else is speculation. I really don't want to take this phone back but right now it fails in comparison to anything. wow the transitions and animations are pretty, but I can't do anything functional.

most biased comparison EVER. ACreed is the same graphic wise on all platforms, even Android, so superb that. When it came time for you to mention WP7 faults its like you didn't want to, and rushed through it.
I really like the keyboard on Windows Phone 7. The one time I got to use it, it felt much better than the iPhone. I haven't used Android yet. Phone 7 is also really smooth.
Quinn on the camera app on iPhone, when you view your photos from the app it does not quit the camera, if you hit the "done" button in the top right it goes right back to the camera without quitting.

here is where you go wrong! You need an Xbox to make the xbox live work on wp7 and even if you dont have an xbox and can still make one on your phone what is just as helpful as the gamecenter
i agree with you on most points except how "great" assassin's creed looks, and the cameras. the stock camera may not have the most features but a $2 app will make it amazing! :) i dont have an iphone 4 but my ipod touch's camera definitely looks better after i got an app
iOS kills windows phone 7. If you think that ordinary blocky looking thing is better you should sell your iPhone and change your name thatwindowsphone7guy. I would never trade an iPhone for that. It has to far to go to be able to compete. I'd take android over windows phone 7 but that's my opinion. iOS is better than both that's a fact.

Its a new operating system, the only reason they didn't include stuff like multitasking and c/p is because they needed to release something and they were starting from scratch. iOS had none of those on its initial release. Little tip, saying its 'my opinion' then 'thats a fact' is contradictory.
@TMCanuck I said it's an opinion between whether prefers android over windows phone 7. I think android is better than windows phone 7. However iOS is beyond both of them in features and functionality and windows had windows phone 6 then 6.5 and now 7 and all of them are still lacking features that iOS has. It's not a new phone os. To start saying it's better than iOS is bologna. If you like it, switch. I'll stick with my iPhone and I'd take android over it also if I had to switch phones.

i do not think this is a very far comparison of phone wars. you are comparing two phones that came out at different parts of the year and windows phone 7 knew what to improve upon from the iphone. Even though u r not comparing the hardware, u sort of are. the os formats were also released at different time. not one of ur best video series Quinn.
what r u a retard iphone syning is easy. it was made by apple for ur ease of use. maybe u just have too much scum on ur iphone and that is why it is taking forever.
u must have a shitty computer, because syncing the iphone, while it is not fun, does NOT take 3 hours. maybe 20 minutes for initial backup, and 30 minutes for restore.
@schulzm13 I have used Swype. It was the only keyboard I used on Android. It was okay, but I found my efficiency nor my speed were increased. More of a novelty to me than anything else, but I can see it as something viable for the average user that can't type very quickly onscreen...

@macluvr6 Thanks for the comment. I'm using a Canon Vixia HF10 which just two years ago, was Canon's top of the line camcorder. It is still a superb camera, and I would argue puts out better video than the t2i. This video just has poor lighting which makes for the pixelized blacks. Thanks for watching!
ok i watched both of them now and i can't help but think your reviews are almost biest towards the HTC surround windows 7 phone software. I mean come on seriously, 'Its not about the camera, its about the camera application'? We both know that the must BS ever! Who gives a crap about the app for the camera if your camera is a piece of shit lol? Seriously Quinn i like 99% of your reviews becuase they're honest and to the point, don't allow your opinion to get in the way of reality!
Gaming on WP7 is horrible. The majority of WP7 apps take ages to load. Comparable games to iOS are faster and frame rates are also much greater with iOS. Keyboard? iOS easily wins, at least IMO. I'm much faster and more accurate on my iPhone's keyboard than I was with my Focus, although I should be number 1 in Text Text Revolution (or whatever) for WP7.
Most of the stuff you've said I disagree with. Syncing on iOS (with iTunes) is better by a billion miles. iTunes is simply perfect for syncing. WP7 Connector? Pure crap. Doesn't even detect my iTunes library. Zune Software for Windows? Pain in the ASS to sync with.
ThatSnazzyTechGuy <-----that may be the best option because all of these people are getting their panties in a bunch because your doing NEW things......I think its great, it's good to try out new products!
Syncing is not an issue for me on my iOS device. As for gaming, not everyone has xbox and apples gamecenter allows for everyone who has an iPhone to connect to each other. Why not just call your show that snazzy tech guy instead of that snazzy iPhone guy. Do you still use the Dell phone by any chance?

Just a few comments: You mention possible fragmentation for the Windows Phone 7 platform. That is not a possibility thanx to the minimum requirements set by Microsoft that will ensure that we have a minimum performance on all phones. Also, custom UIs and other stuff that have messed up the Android in the past are just not possible - only a handful of custom apps (uninstallable) are permitted by handset manufacturers and carriers. Also, you didn't mention the lock screen notifications on WP7.

You can be nervous for the iphone lol just because 80% of the millions of games existent for xbox and pc using can be ported to wp7 devices...Microsof promissed monthly ported games, the peach of Microsoft games is because they use a universal programming language XNA a developer only as to do the code core once, and just adjust the input controls for each target device

btw, on ios (any version), aft you played heavy game (aft you closed it properly), u phone performance is freaking slow!!... dunno wheter apple know abt clean state...
notification in iphone is suck for me.... while u r playing game, its totally anoying whn u rcved sms.. try in wp7... u wont feel any disturbtion... (hahha.. i like to sms iphoner while they playing game...)

Assassins Creed looks the same on Android as it does on winpho 7. But come on, in terms of graphics, nothing, and I mean no platform tops that of the retina resolution of the iPhone 4/iPod 4th gen. Just look at Spiderman or Gangstar, the endless racing games, or beautiful tower games, etc. that the App Store carries. Maybe you haven't played AC before, but it's an older Gameloft game that looks pretty much the same on any device it's been on. I'm not being bias either, I'm an daily Android user.

the only thing confirmed in the Jan update is copy and paste. everything else is speculation. I really don't want to take this phone back but right now it fails in comparison to anything. wow the transitions and animations are pretty, but I can't do anything functional.

I really like the keyboard on Windows Phone 7. The one time I got to use it, it felt much better than the iPhone. I haven't used Android yet. Phone 7 is also really smooth.

Quinn on the camera app on iPhone, when you view your photos from the app it does not quit the camera, if you hit the "done" button in the top right it goes right back to the camera without quitting.

here is where you go wrong! You need an Xbox to make the xbox live work on wp7 and even if you dont have an xbox and can still make one on your phone what is just as helpful as the gamecenter

i agree with you on most points except how "great" assassin's creed looks, and the cameras. the stock camera may not have the most features but a $2 app will make it amazing! :) i dont have an iphone 4 but my ipod touch's camera definitely looks better after i got an app

iOS kills windows phone 7. If you think that ordinary blocky looking thing is better you should sell your iPhone and change your name thatwindowsphone7guy. I would never trade an iPhone for that. It has to far to go to be able to compete. I'd take android over windows phone 7 but that's my opinion. iOS is better than both that's a fact.

Its a new operating system, the only reason they didn't include stuff like multitasking and c/p is because they needed to release something and they were starting from scratch. iOS had none of those on its initial release. Little tip, saying its 'my opinion' then 'thats a fact' is contradictory.

@TMCanuck I said it's an opinion between whether prefers android over windows phone 7. I think android is better than windows phone 7. However iOS is beyond both of them in features and functionality and windows had windows phone 6 then 6.5 and now 7 and all of them are still lacking features that iOS has. It's not a new phone os. To start saying it's better than iOS is bologna. If you like it, switch. I'll stick with my iPhone and I'd take android over it also if I had to switch phones.

i do not think this is a very far comparison of phone wars. you are comparing two phones that came out at different parts of the year and windows phone 7 knew what to improve upon from the iphone. u must have a shitty computer, because syncing the iphone, while it is not fun, does NOT take 3 hours. maybe 20 minutes for initial backup, and 30 minutes for restore.

@schulzm13 I have used Swype. It was the only keyboard I used on Android. It was okay, but I found my efficiency nor my speed were increased. More of a novelty to me than anything else, but I can see it as something viable for the average user that can't type very quickly onscreen...

@macluvr6 Thanks for the comment. I'm using a Canon Vixia HF10 which just two years ago, was Canon's top of the line camcorder. It is still a superb camera, and I would argue puts out better video than the t2i. This video just has poor lighting which makes for the pixelized blacks. Thanks for watching!

I mean come on seriously, 'Its not about the camera, its about the camera application'? We both know that the must BS ever! Camera? The iPhone 4's camera is better, but yes, the WP7 app has a lot of nice options. I can't stand how WP7 records at 24FPS instead of 29.97FPS.

Gaming on WP7 is horrible. The majority of WP7 apps take ages to load. Comparable games to iOS are faster and frame rates are also much greater with iOS. Keyboard? iOS easily wins, at least IMO. I'm much faster and more accurate on my iPhone's keyboard than I was with my Focus, although I should be number 1 in Text Text Revolution (or whatever) for WP7.

Most of the stuff you've said I disagree with. Syncing on iOS (with iTunes) is better by a billion miles. iTunes is simply perfect for syncing. WP7 Connector? Pure crap. Doesn't even detect my iTunes library. Zune Software for Windows? Pain in the ASS to sync with.

Syncing is not an issue for me on my iOS device. As for gaming, not everyone has xbox and apples gamecenter allows for everyone who has an iPhone to connect to each other. Why not just call your show that snazzy tech guy instead of that snazzy iPhone guy. Do you still use the Dell phone by any chance?
