I think (in this video at least) that it was an F5; an octave above the F above middle C (in case someone needs the easy way to it). However, as his range has not been fully tested, I think he probably has a few more notes in that falsetto and whistle-tone (which is how I can add an octave and a half to my range of 4 octaves, as without it, I'm down to 2 and 1/2 natural and belt...and Adam beats my high notes to a pulp).

i'm a 17-year-old guy from finland and i'm a really good singer and the highest note i can do(sounding good and without falsetto) is almost an octave lower than adam's highest notes on the show...and i have had many years of formal training.. so yes those notes in the video are extremely high for a male singer. even some women can't get as high, for example all the women in the top 13 of AI this season.

Hmm... well, thanks for being respectful in your comment. I am not going to try and compare my knowledge of singing to yours, I have ABSOLUTELY not vocal training, ever in my life. But, I do have to admit, that without any vocal training I am an 18 year old guy from the U.S. that can reach every note I have ever heard Adam reach. I may be lacking in clarity, but as I said, I have never had any vocal training.

Now, do you get where I am coming from? I LOVE adam, he is so talented. But he has great control, and he can hold out notes like no other, but it's not all about the high notes. Also, when people talk about range, they generally also include his lower notes, which I haven't hear much of. There are other singers who can sing higher and clearer than him that are around on youtube.
