you guys need to look at it this way; if the speakers are aimed at the dome light the sound stage will have better depth and height to it than speakers aimed at your leg
@jimsthecarguy LOL i have speakers set up in my Defender 90 though its under the dash, facing down at your knee, they need to get updated aswell been playing loud for a long time with us and the cars previous owners as the 4x4 TDI engine is so loud! replacing withnew Kenwood 13cm speakers
its for sound imaging, the magnets on the focal k2ps are pretty big however listen to a speaker facing across the floor and then listen to a speaker facing directly at you. i dont agree with the way these are directed for proper imaging but i guess whoever installed them did.

Ohhh, no. It looks like speakers have to be super skinny to fit in doors, but I have replaced many speakers in different people's cars for my friends and neighbors and other people, and it is pretty surprising how much depth you get.
But maybe this car has a skinny panel or the magnet is VERY fat
