Is there any way to play the "part two" bass part with a 4 string bass?

@LyS0lAr0uND Yeah, no problem. You definitely don't need a 5-string bass to play the song. Basically you have two options to play this tune on a 4-string bass: You can either tune down the bass to (drop) C or B, which probably requires some heavier strings or you can just play the low notes on the B-string one octave higher. So instead of the 3rd and 4th fret on the B-string respectively, you can play the 5th and 6th fret of the A string.

I have a friend who's super OCD about technique, when he saw this video he asked the same question, so I doubt it's offensive. I personally have seen very few people hold the pick that way, I don't even do it, but it's all preference.
