i hv sta hard drive 1tb,core 2 due e6300 processor ,@186ghz, (mmx,sse(1,2,3,3s),em64T,vt-x)­,Bioster mother board ,G31d-m7 model,4gb ram,geforce 8400 nvidea card.

i hv downloaded the mac os x 10.4.8. iso and made bootable dvd , after 3 -4 line its reboot again..

but dvd is working fine in vm ware...so tell how to install in pc...plzzz.

my problem is when i install , and finish and mac os x runs . i then restart pc to go on windows 7 and turn easybcd on . but theres dash loading instantly and i have to reinstall windows . its a upgrade windows maby thats why? i need help please

@vasilealexandru I kinda found the issue its that my Laptop has a Intel Wireless 4965 and Iatkos, ideneb, and ipc doesnt support it that goes for pretty much any Intel wireless user

Hi! I've got some problems with this dual boot. Everything goes just fine: new harddrive, fully erased in OSX, installation with costum drivers, as OS x 86 project says, installation starts. But then when he should restart, he gives a message like: server shutdown bootstrap_register... and so on. And a couple of seconds later this message shows up: killing all processes or something like that.

The pc starts up again, but boots into windows immediately.

Can you please help me? Thanks!

@Q852 sounds like a driver/hardware problem, make sure you have the correct drivers or posts your problem on some forums, more specifically and you should get more in depth help ;)

@SUP3RS0N1CC make sure you have appropriate hardware for OSX and the appropriate OSX version for your hardware, link for compatibility is in side/under bar

@SUP3RS0N1CC did you format the hardrive to (FAT32) or (NFTS) because thats what stuffed my computer up, for mac (OS X) or (Snow Leopard) you have to format the hardrive to (FAT32) because thats what got my snow leopard to boot up perfectly but i got the retail disk from a friend for free to keep for myself it was brand new also 'vasilealexandru" isn't lying at all, hope all this info helped :)

So choosing the partition you made in windows in mac to erase it, it's basically just like erasing nothing right? Cause I don't want to erase all my music, videos, ect.

@FabulouslyStinky well most desktop hardware works with the right patches. That is when you have to select the drivers/patches/kernels in the installation menu, make sure you get those most relevant to your configuration. So, for example for your i7 cpu, you might want to use the Voodoo kernel. Look again on the compatibility list, and see what people are using for intel chips, for ati GPUs, for your mobo's northbridge, etc. usually the same things work for the same brands (intel/amd ati/nvidia)

hey, first of all thank you for your great tutorial, but i need some help. when i'm done installing, mac starts to load (white screen, apple logo). but when it's done loading, my screen freezes and i just hear that stupid intro music, and it doesn't stops!

Do you know how to fix this?

@DoubleDdutch try reinstalling, something has either gone wrong during the installation or your pc hardware isn't right for the OS

I did everything as you showed for partitioning (marking an unformated primary partition as active) but it didn't show up on disk utility. any idea why? thanks.

@15LeBob make sure the partition was in fact a partition, not unallocated space in windows (should have a blue bar on top). If thats right, make sure that when you get to disk utility in OSX, when you see your HDD, its spread into your partitions. They're gonna be called somthing like "disk1s1" "disk1s2" and so on. just look at the partition with the right size (which you picked in windows) and that should be it. It won't have the same name like in windows.

i accidentally formated the partition and now everything is dynamic disk. will it effect dual booting? if it does how can i change the disk back to basic?

@jackgirl you need it to be a primary partition so therefore it needs to be basic disk. use disk management from computer management to change it back.
