It is nothing short of a tragedy what Springer spews forth these days. An equal tragedy are the people who fill the seats of his audience chanting his name to encourage complete immorality and violence from day to day along with the millions who tune in.
Yeah, I like the pre-trashy shows too. He really seemed to care, and had a heartwarming conversation with Staples.
It's cool seeing the show in transit. This must be the '93/94 season since Jerry was a little more casual (compared to the first couple seasons) but they still had the original set. It must've changed to the bookcases etc in late 1994.
LOL you serious? Wish I could see more from this season, sounds really mixed...probably 'cause Richard Dominick took over from the first producer (Burt Dubrow).
Oh, it's also got the "new" jazzy theme they were using in the late 90s (instead of that light synthy one in the first 2 seasons).
Do you have the full episode of this? And if you do would it be possible to upload it? You dont see much of Jerrys early days any more and its a shame, I really enjoy watching them.
Unfortunately, I don't have the whole episode. At the time, I was Mavis' publicist and only saved her part of the show. I agree with you that Jerry used to have a really good show. I don't know how on earth it morphed into the circus that it is now.....It's a shame....
I wish she was my momma. I just ove her!!

For those wondering, that's country singer Mickey Gilley going off prior to Mavis coming on.
