The K1200S is technologicaly advanced. Brakes - ABS is standard with servo assist, it pressurises the brake line instantly. The front brake operates the front and rear while the foot operates the rear - the perfect combination for control in corners. Electronic adjustable suspension. A trip computer with a distance to empty. It has enough power - 167HP. Touring comfort. The duolever front end has no fork dive. I bought a BMW because I can see old BMWs still on the road. BMW are built to last.
I love commuting for an hour each way from Beenleigh to Brisbane City. The touring seat and sitting position is comfortable. Top gear is good for the 80 - 100kmh range with the engine humming along at about 3000-4000RPM. I get about 300km per tank. The bags are the standard issue BMW panniers that fold out to lock up the BMW helmet. I looked at a lot of bikes when I decided to get back into riding. I would compare and compromise on performance and price - I always came back to the K1200S.

If we are talking about 40k euros from motorbike, the bike would be pretty rare or made from valuable materials.

You are correct. The valuable material is quality engineering.
