  • this guy makes me remember of Sylvester Stallone

  • VW makes cars for people who cant drive. yeah lets make it easyer for people who have now idea how to drive a car or how big their car is to get on the road. 1.4 Meters haha crazy.

  • Much better than the Prius system.

  • (0:11) MEEEE MEEEE go to farm men>MEEE

  • yes its better than the lexus !!

  • the gap has to be 1,40 meter bigger then the car rofl. why the hell would i need this gizmo for a trivial task like parking in a huemongous gap?

  • It's first generation technology. They already have a 2nd generation gizmo that is actually useful and can help you get into pretty tight gaps. There's also a prototype that can not only parallel park and that allows you to get out and control the car as it parks by remote. Necessary? No. Useful? Probably, since you get the front and back sensors as well but in any case, it's a nice toy.

  • from a benz purchasers point of view its only a nice toy because the price difference between the mercedes distronic and distronic plus (with park assist) isnt that huge. But if you know how to drive you shouldnt need this gadget, the only important thing imho is the backup camera, because you never know if there are kids or dogs behind your car.

  • In Australia, you need to leave at least a 1 metre gap in front of and behind your car to park legally. So if the the gap was less than 2 metres, you wouldn't even be permitted to use the space.

  • Really? In Portugal, you need to leave at least 1 mosquito ball gap in front and behind to park legally...and by the way, Spanish are even worst, they just use the good old "bumping your way way in" technique.

  • Well, I did say legally. In practice, at least one c*nt hairs width is sufficient.

  • Well, I'd been to India and there they wouldn't leave a gap at all. LOL

  • thats a limo park space!!!

  • did vw develope this themselves, or was lexus involved?

  • VW themselves clearly. The Lexus system needs you to play with triangles and squares and whatnot on the LCD screen, AND modulate th pedals. The VW system just needs you to tell it which side it should for spaces on, and modulate the pedals.

  • thats cool, i love vw so much, and i think vws system is better than lexuses. i wonder if ford is going to come up with an auto park feature?

  • i would say eventually every car maker will.

  • that would be so cool

  • you know they will. i bet infiniti or audi will be next.

  • Sorry, i missed the most, I am a man. I did not listen. But it is obviously a good car for woman. You know what I mean.

  • I will park myself. Love the car though.

  • By the time you go through all of that Bullshit you might as well park manually. Lets see how it does in N.Y.C.

  • it needs 6,5 meter to park?????

  • proves what technology may achieve BUT what about:

    - gear shift automats reducing fuel consumptions

    - cruising control avoiding energy wasting stop'n go by early radar controlled coasting

    - tire pressure management
