Wow, you're a dumbass and you truly don't know shit about football. The ball was ALREADY LOSE when he hit the ground. The rule states that you have to maintain full control of the ball before you hit the ground. Since the ball was already jarred loose, it was a fumble. Had Portis actually kept control of the ball, it shouldn't have popped out.

No, it's not. A fumble caused by the ground is when the ball is not moving in the player's arms, then is jarred loose by the ground. In this situation, Reed had already jarred the ball loose BEFORE Portis's elbow hit the ground. Once again, the rule states that the player must maintain CONSTANT CONTROL of the ball on the way to the ground. Portis did not maintain constant control of the ball on the way to the ground; therefore, the refs made the right call at it is a fumble and a TD.

I find it funny how Ravens fans made this so-called "rivalry" such a big deal. The Skins fans don't care about you all. We have real rivalries like the Giants, Eagles and Cowboys to worry about. You Ratbird fans busted a nut for this one game and the teams only play once every four years. Yes, you guys went to the AFC championship game, but the schedule you had wasn't that hard. The teams that were good you lost those games(i.e. Colts, Giants, Steelers twice, Titans).

Read carefully....I said that the Ravens aren't our rivals. I got those opinions from Ravens fans and especially a friend of mine who felt like this was the Super Bowl and spent $280 per ticket just for this game. Hell, I wouldn't have done that if the Skins were playing Dallas. I use to work in Towson and all I heard was this rivalry crap. What rivalry? The teams play ONCE every four years! And yes, we suck now, but you'll will NEVER have the tradition and legacy like the Skins. HTTR!

The season before that you were 13-3 with HOME FIELD and 1st round bye and lost in a FG competition to the Colts. You guys franchise has been up and down as well so don't get it twisted. A dynasty? Yes, you have your QB for the next 10 years..just as long as he hands off the ball most of the time. If the game is in his hands...its a wrap and we saw that in the championship game.

Broaden your vision first before replying to me. The NFC East consistantly sends 2-3 teams to the playoffs every year. The Super Bowl victories are just more evidence of how good the division is. Before the Skins and Cowboys were sucking towards the end of the season, every team in the East had a winning record.
