Not a single NBC, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, NYT, WashPo, or Fox reporter has been able to ask him about it. A single interview for "The Hill" can be found where the reporter states the incident as a matter of fact. Lewis replys, "I was suprised by some things that were said and some signs..." Not exactly an affirmation.

Not only can no one be heard calling Lewis the n-word, but there is no reaction by Lewis, et. al. to the incident. These guys were begging for an incident with which to tar the Tea Party and when they didn't get it they made it up. To top it off, Lewis has never said he was called the n-word. And no reporter has asked him.

The logic behind this is that the more you make the higher the percentage of income you are able to contribute to help maintain and improve the community you benefit from without it becoming a financial hardship. It is much harder for a family of 4 to pay out 27% of $50,000 than a family of 4 that makes $15 million.

Not a single NBC, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, NYT, WashPo, or Fox reporter has been able to ask him about it. A single interview for "The Hill" can be found where the reporter states the incident as a matter of fact. Lewis replys, "I was suprised by some things that were said and some signs..." Not exactly an affirmation.

@kbar8888 In a progressive tax structure the more you make the more you contribute. The logic behind this is that the more you make the higher the percentage of income you are able to contribute to help maintain and improve the community you benefit from without it becoming a financial hardship. It is much harder for a family of 4 to pay out 27% of $50,000 than a family of 4 that makes $15 million.
Obama's so-called redistribution policies are no more Socialist than the last 20 Presidents!

The guy making 20k a year doesn't pay federal income tax, because the government views his income as being so negligible if they did tax it at the percentage you speak of it be very difficult for that person to live! There is a huge standard of living gap between 100k and 20k a year! Obamacare was the Republicans idea for 35 years until Obama co-opted it. Try again.

@luvitluvitbaby I suggest you get a tax booklet. $20K with standard deduction and 1 exemption leaves $10.5K taxable income. The federal tax on that is $1,150. But yes there are "unearned" income tax credits that wipe that out.
We do not tax wealth or standard of living. We tax income.
In the 80s a mentor of Øbama came up with a scheme to form a gov't corp to compete with energy companies by selling discount energy to the poor. Their goal was to control the energy industry.

I understand what you're saying though...But I just can't have any sympathy...I work 7 days a week, 99% of the time it's out of my state, and I'm gone for months on end without a break. These guys making this kind of money SKATE through their work days with no problem and came from an era where you actually got to choose where you worked for the rest of your life. My Generation doesn't have this luxury, as we get payed less, have to pay more, and the quality of life hasn't changed...
