algun brasileiro me podria hacer el grandisimo favor de escribir la letra? o el nombre de las canciones que canta? por que ya se que canta varias canciones entre ellas "luanda e meu boi".

Algunas veces yo canto en la roda de mi grupo (un grupo humilde pero con mucho axe) y me gusta esta canción (tal vez no para la roda, pero me gusta la secuencia de las canciones) pero no encuentro la primera parte que es del minuto 2:26 al 3:16 y también del minuto 4:10 al 4:38. Se los agradeceria muchisimo

ahah.. idk y i'm listening to this once everyday now .. there's just something that just pull me in, and everytime i visit youtube i cant resist clicking on this vid.. :-* it's weirdly mesmerizing even though i cant understand a word ure singing... is there anybody out there who can translate this? would appreciate it ^_^

It's too big for me to translate but I can tell you it talks about the origin and the role of capoeira in brazilian culture. Capoeira was born during the slavery period in Brazil and it's a different way to fight because it mixes dance, song and fight. I am not sure if it's true but I heard the slaves put music into this martial art because it was forbidden for them to fight, then they simulate a dance while it was a fight, a way of resistance.

oic.. that's a very interesting culture, and creative too.. i did see one video on capoiera martial art but not sure if they're the same thing,coz this one is a song, the other is a scene of 2 people fighting.. but the fighting is very artistic, never seen any other like it before.. is the song in brazilian language? thank you for explaining the history and origin to me ^_^

Yes, they sing in Portuguese at least the most known songs of capoeira... Portuguese is the brazilian language, in fact. At least the songs I know talk about the african culture that today is part of brazilian culture, mainly the african religion and its rituals. Its more common in Northeast of Brazil but in South, where there is the biggest european influence, I know a lot of people that practice capoeira and the rituals of candomblé, and they are not afro-brazilians.
