i'm definitely part of the i-screwed-this-movement-up-in-the-concert club, when i played e flat clarinet. it's bizarre how easy it is to get the timing off
I like how you replaced the oboe part with another clarinet and the bassoon part with the bass clarinet. It changes the feel of the piece drastically. I have played the bassoon part in concert so I know how hard that is to do.
The opening/closing sounds a bit odd on Bass Clarinet. Unfortunately a good bit of the syncopation in the trumpets was a bit off. Overall it was pretty decent.
There's a version for either one, but Grainger preferred that it was done on soprano, but only if the soprano sax player could play it musically enough to his liking.
Very valinet effort and job keeping the tuning at the beginning of the song lord knows its so hard to do.. If I had it my way not complaining but I would have like to feel a lil more of a gradual tempo increase as the melody build's up to the Hard Major Cords that lead to the resolution with the winds again.. Very Good job
Man, I absolutely HATED playing this song! Well, not so much the playing as the counting! But, man!!! It was hard. But it's a wonderful movement. The whole piece is great!

I love this Movement. We didn't play it cuz we lacked the auxillary c-nets!! Great job Eb player, and the low clarinet solo rocked!!!
