Having traditional music really only matters if you're doing a public/paid performance. If its just for practice you can dance to whatever you feel like.

As for some advice, I'd suggest learning a larger variety of moves, your dancing is kind of repetitive. It may help to add some upper body movements. The arms aren't bad, but need more work. Remember that the arms are used to accentuate your movements.

Please do not use suggestive music. It dose give an audiance the wrong idea of a pro belly dancer . Belly dancers have been trying to disconnect the idea of stripping with belly dancing.

Good techniques but bad song, this is one of the top stripping songs and gives people the wrong idea of belly dance. Skirt isn't bad but certainly interesting. Not sure if you trying to do snake arms but work on that a bit if you were, let the wrist lead.

I use this song in class.... but it is a bit suggestive in a sexual way for performance....sends the wrong message for Belly Dance. I tend to perform to non-middle eastern music to american audiences....it helps if people are familiar with the music.

Natural and beautiful moves. Doesn't matter if the music isn't traditional, a real dancer can pull off bellydancing to any kind of music, I bellydance for my husband to Pink Floyd and he loves it!

I know you say that you were just messing around, and I do see that parts of your dance were just that, or making some references to contemporary American dancing which has no place within this beautiful art form.
