patellar tendon is good becuase it heals faster its bad becuase it is then uncomfortable to bend down and squat. Hamstring's benifiet is its actually stronger than your original ACL but you lose 10 percent of your strength in ur hammys you don't notice the diff.
Both have been proven to be equally effective. Patellar tendon grafts more prone to develop PFCS and pain with kneeling. It is largely a matter of surgeon preference. I prefer hamstring grafts because of the femoral fixation I get with transfix pin. Con is unpredictable graft size with autograft (not allograft).

ok thanks, my surgon said my graft was about as close to perfect as can be so im starting to feel better about using the hamstring
