  • This is quite motivational video. I want to be in that shape in my 60ties. I am 26 and after a tough year I just got to 120 DB bench, so watching someone of your age doing it with ease is very nice :).

    But like other might have asked, why dont you do full repetitions? Something with elbows? But it is still impressive.

  • Yes, better than nothing, I guess but its the bench press a terrible exercise. Can he do front squats with those dbs for that many reps? How about double snatches with those? He definitely should be able to, if your upper body is that strong. If not, he needs to back off the upper body crap and concentrate on the legs and core to allow your body to catch up so he will be a balanced athelite.

  • @powskier Upper body isn't crap, you should do both equally. Benching isn't shit, it is i great exercise for the chest, may not be as good as a chest fly or pushups, but its not terrible,

  • Not sure what you mean by "shoulder press." Press behind neck? Seated dumbbell press?

    Will do inclines when I get my graduated incline bench perfected, current benches only allow you to adjust the angle of the incline 12 to 15 degrees at a time, mine will allow you to increase in 3 degree increments (in order to work the arms and chest more thoroughly for greater growth).

  • Be patient, you will. Got 7 reps with the 115s yesterday, should be moving back up to the 120s next month (injured myself doing a different exercise). Never did them in my prime (in 40s) but did do a 375 bench press with a barbell. Mike

  • How much weight can he do with a standard barbell bench press? It seems easier to do a barbell bench press than with dumbbells.
