  • I live in phoenixville...

  • Go Phoenixville! what a great place. ive lived here all my life and its only gotten better and better. its too bad we didnt get the minor league baseball team =/ and i dont like how it says we have 16000 people thats not including east pikeland and schukyll townships, which are basically part of phoenixville. with them we got some 30,000! i just wish there would be some more building projects in downtown. Theres huge areas by french creek that could be used to make the ville more cool

  • We don't have Earth Mart or Armadillo books anymore :\. They used to be my favorite stores, too.

  • wow this makes me wanna live here...oh wait i do lol

  • Hi! I grew up in Phoenixville and have lot's of nice memories. I loved Phoenixville and it's people!!

  • wheres the black people, and mexicanns?

  • A town with the classic homes of the steel workers still held in respect. Any town that can host a movie featuring Hedgerow Theatre iconoclast Jasper Deeter being the first victim slowly and gruesomely killed by a chemical blob, is my kind of town. Whether it is digging the mood, , watching high end bands like the Reluctants, or pluggin in zee ole laptop for hours on end at the Black Lab, our fair city is great. . Would love to see the original Reluctants on First Friday again. Let's do it.

  • I have seen the change in Phoenixville over the past 30 years. It is all positive. The Main Street CDC , Borough Council, the Phoenixville Chamber and others have all beeen supportive and forward thinking (I hope I didn't leave anyone out).

BTW: The band featured near the beginning at at the very end is the original "Reluctants". I miss them! When will they return for more Phoenixville shows?

  • I Grew up in phoenixville and when i was growing up there was nothing to do ..except walk tressles and break into steel mills for "fun" and get chased by conrail police lol now it has shops and stores and all fun things to do now..the kids now are lucky ...who live there...also id say about 95-97% of the people that live there are rich stuck up pricks that don't deserve what they have ...and the other 3-5% are really cool peeps laid back and honest and people that got your back poo peeps r real

  • Thanks holly, always wondered about that.

  • Is the old steel mill on Main (or Bridge) still there? Lived there in 54-55

  • No, it isn't. A lot was torn down, but the foundry building houses a museum, and the office building is now a restaurant.

  • @joeasmythe no it is not, the foundary is put not the actual mill, i did a project on it last year

  • @ahhhant Thanks, always wondered if it had changed.. Is the Valley Forge Army Hospital still there ?

  • @joeasmythe I am pretty sure it is not there anymore, but I do not know for sure.

  • yeah it's real. If you come really early or lucky enough, you can get inside and watch the entire show (Colonial Theater is small so it doesn't fit everyone) At the end, people who sits on the floor area gets to run out and scream
