  • I think it's people like JungleJargon who are a threat to humanity. Certainly NOT Sir David Attenborough. JungleJargon - Your stupidity is astounding mate.

  • I wish I have a full head of awesome white hair when i'm his age. Damn you genetics.

  • hahahah at 2:06, beige pants, blue shirts ... and slam on top binoculars

  • HAHAHAHAHA!!!! ohh im crying of laughter!!! >>> 2:19

  • He is the one who has truly lived "Life on Earth"

  • David Attenborough should be banned from public schools because of his baseless belief that mutations order things. That is absurd to the highest degree.

Evolution along with its companions, fantasy, assumption, speculation, conjecture and imagination, has never come close to be almost proven.

There is observable evidence that we have a Maker of all the digitally ordered functions that we have.

    watch?v=qZev7hb40uk

Evolution has got to go. It loses every debate and it is a threat to humanity.

  • @JungleJargon Lol go away retarded troll.

  • @JungleJargon the words of a fool!

  • @JungleJargon Just watched the vid you posted the link too. I'm convinced because of that. Sense my sarcasm there? Good, it made no sense. It's one of the weakest arguments I've ever heard on any subject. Science has proven that without stars we wouldn't be here. We are from star matter, no intervention by a maker. That is a scientific FACT. Don't waste your time living in fear & blinding yourself from the truth. One truth I am talking about is that David Attenborough is a national treasure.

  • @JungleJargon Oh, & another thing. Do you know what I believe should be banned from schools? At least on a statutory level, as it was & still is, at the high school I attended all those years ago. Yes, religious education. I was forced, with no choice, to take R.E for my GCSEs, and I spent the whole time wondering why science taught me fact, yet in R.E I was supposed to believe the ancient text from something written so long ago in simple times. Religious education should not be statutory.

  • me gusta este tipo de personas, Así es también mi esposo, no se dejan llevan por la moda. No gastan en tonterías. Valen por sí mismas y son admirados por su valor como ser humano y calidad ´profesional.

  • who recons he was havin a dig at 'adam heart davis ' at the end? lol

  • There is no such thing as an "Ex" Monty Python.

  • what a man

  • This is a mensch. Can anyone tell me why his brother is a Lord and he is a Sir? The accumulative effect of Ascent, Civilisation etc etc, to me, are at least the equal of his brother's work in terms of cultural impact..

  • Funny, he has the same attitude towards clothes as me. Apart from the fact that mine are olive green combats and cheap white t-shirts, wearing your shirt until the end of the week no matter how stained it is, and wearing the trousers with any necessary sewing repairs to extend their life, and not caring at all for fashion. It just works. Plus, as they say, the most environmentally friendly clothes you can have, are the ones you already have.

  • i love how this video has 0 dislikes

  • hey that guy at 1:30 was in jurassic park!!!

  • @feeltheillinois yh he is david attemboroughs brother

  • @feeltheillinois And in many other movies (IMHO much better movies such as "Brighton Rock", the original "Flight of the Phoenix", "The League of Gentlemen", "10 Rillington Place", etc.) and directed some really awesome movies such as "Oh! What A Lovely War", "Gandhi" and "Cry Freedom".

Richard and David Attenborough are both absolutely great.

  • Attenborough is The creator actually :)

  • I wish Brian Cox would watch the bit about not changing your clothes all the time.

  • Richard and David are such a fantastic, creative duo. The UK, and indeed Earth, are blessed to have them.

  • Gotta love him.

  • Sir David Attenborough is a seriously awsome guy. his voice is how i imagine gods would be like if i had made my mind up about god lol

  • who is that dude at 1:27? i recognize him so bad, looks a bit like the dude from Jurassic park

  • @horbergaren Lord Richard Attenborough, great actor who played Richard Hammond in Jurassic Park. Also, David's brother.

  • @HUNDOLOS thanks!

  • @HUNDOLOS ahhhhhhhhh..... thanks for that... :)

  • @horbergaren Are you kidding? That's his older brother, director, producer and actor Richard Attenborough... a legend in his own right. Yeah... scary good genes... try living up to those two in one family. lolz

  • @OrthodoxAtheist There's a 3rd brother, John Michael, who chose to stay out of the limelight but did make quite a name for himself in the auto industry; at one time, he was the managing director for Alfa Romeo Britain

  • Now that's a guy to my heart, what is all the fuzz about?

  • happy Christmas by the way

  • i wonder if he believes in GOD

  • @SuperPatrick777 NO! Sir David Attenborough does not believe in God. He's one of the most intelligent people that nature could ever give us. He knows the truth, the real truth, not some kind of fabled holy book.

  • @SuperMoon74 attenborough is a naturalist not GOD almighty so stop doing a romans chapter 1 and "worshiping the creature " , he does what evolutionists alway's do and that is interprete [ and badly ] what they see built on presuppersitions [ and faulse ones at that ] , like everyone else evolution has never been witnessed and is being taught as fact , they talk about " millions of years " and yet there is only about 4 or 5,000 years of recorded history , attenborough along with / tbc

  • @SuperMoon74 con't patrick moore have been [ in effect ] hero's of mine since i was a kid when they talk about things that are true and are inpericaly tested , it is when he goes outside the realms of science that like stephen hawkins he starts to make himself look a fool , and as for " nature GIVING us anything " please reflect on what you just said there , nature / laws etc are useless without a mind behind it and a supream power as well .

  • @SuperPatrick777 Blah blah blah!!!

  • @SuperPatrick777 Anyway find this video on YouTube "Sir David Attenborough's view on Science & Religion - Life on Air" and see for yourself!

  • @SuperMoon74 yes i have seen it , what a waste of talent a great pity, plenty of inteligence but very little wisdom --- yes -- " what is a man who gains the whole world but looses his soul "

  • @SuperPatrick777 You really need to get out more.

  • @jimmyhayers

     really

  • Beige trousers, one of the hallmarks of civilization

  • why was there an advert at the start of this?

  • @joetavish It's BBC Worldwide, they advertise in other countries so that when you watch terrestrial BBC in Britain they can have no adverts.

  • @jimmyhayers sorry about the delayed reply. i'll take your word for it sir thank you!

something learned is a day not wasted eh! xx

  • "thats what made him human!"

    best line ever!

  • I LOVE that explanation-- Very true. (1:55-2:50) Very considerate observation.

  • I would LOVE to work with this man! If he ever needs a nurse/psychologist... I AM RIGHT HERE!

  • hahaha that was just great! i love david attenbourough

  • One of Attenborough's most haunting, stirring moments was when he, towards the end of THE LIFE OF MAMMALS series (to me, THE greatest of all...), sitting somewhere by the Great Rift Valley, next to some ancient & fossilized foot prints of man's early ancestors (likely those of a man, a small child, & mother), & reflecting solemly on mankind's destructiveness to nature (from land, to lakes, to rivers, to oceans, to other animals, great & small) in the last 200 years alone... Haunting & stirring.

  • Why is he dressed in a fancy suit? Has the climate changed? LOL No wonder Richard Dawkin classified Attenborough as the 8th wonder of the world --- no, not the man himself, but the wonders he's been sharing with the world, using the subject he loves the most ---- nature herself --- for over 50 years... The work, education, and public service David Attenborough has done for mankind truly has been unrivaled...

  • A man after my own heart. He could be my twin brother!

  • David you are my hero :)

  • David Attenborough is the best. :)

  • It is so ironic that a video about someone who inspires a passion for the natural world and cares little about commercialistic rubbish is preceded here by a pantene shampoo commercial!

  • Oh yah, let us not forget Plum#12 lipstick with Ebony#4 lipliner - vomit!

  • Hey - North Americans, are you listening? I'm talking to you Stacey London "Fashion Expert", Lady Gha Ghhaa, Steven & Chris, Fashion TV, Rich Bride Poor Bride, Women with the lo-rider Muffin Top waist fat roll, Every jerk with Dragonfly sunglasses, Remember the 'Caesaer Haircut?, Frosted hair tips, Britney Spears & the Empowerment of Women...

People are sheep, it's too bad that only a small % of the population is not an idiotic stupid excuse for life.

  • I wish I had the integrity of this remarkable man! I stopped watching movies half a year ago because I'd rather see an episode from Life series, they are so amazing!

  • When I was ten I wrote him a letter, and got a handwritten, considered reply. Nothing formulaic. That speaks of a kind and enthusiastic promoter of education.

The man is one of the pinnacles of humanism and humanity.

  • danieljamesmead, you took the words right out of my mouth! I grew up with him...his soothing British accent and his amazingprograms have always been a staple in my life.

  • Sir David is the apotheosis of humanity.Truly a marvel of Evolution. I wish i could meet him some day.

  • When this man dies I am going to be devastated.

  • We're all going to die one day. It's less morbid, more fact.

  • @danieljamesmead Same here, I love his work dearly. He was and still is one of my idols.

  • When he dies I will buy a good drink or food or a nice nature book and celebrate the fact that the world had the luck to know his work. When he will be gone it will be others duty to carry on his legacy and memory.

I hope to remember what I wrote.

  • @danieljamesmead Dont say that!!! D=

  • @danieljamesmead So am I youtuber. So am I.

  • @danieljamesmead not as much as him..

  • @danieljamesmead Who? Sir David or Michael?

  • So he's a real gentleman, how refreshing in this age of vacuous egotism. What is so utterly sad is that this is thought remarkable!

Let's try to imitate shall we? There is no more sincere form of flattery they say.

  • amen,

  • Was that Michael Palin?

  • yes that's him doing the life story of Sir David.

Loved the bit where Sir David said the narrator shouldn't appear on camera with a funny hat or a feather boa! Bloody class!

  • This man is one of the greatest assets humankind has produced so far...

  • i don't think you have went far enough there.

i genuinly believe he is the greatest man alive, quite possibly the greatest to ever live

  • @breeknow

     mankind

  • @SuperPatrick777

So... you're correcting something that is already correct??

Do you prefer "mankind" to "humankind" or did you simply not know that "humankind" is a correct term?

    Read my words:

English is not my mother tongue ( yeah... tongue.. not language, because I want to use tongue and I CAN) and I seem to have better control of it than you...

Get your head out of your ass already...

  • @breeknow " english is not my mother tongue " -- you said it ...

  • @SuperPatrick777

    Yeah,

I've seen you use "have" instead of "has"...

So.. let's face it.. you can't really be judging other peoples' english... let alone people who have it as a second language...

Do you have any idea how bad it looks to you?

As a matter of fact, even though it is not my native language, I have been teaching it for the past 10 years and I could show you a bunch of mistakes you made in your comments... but I won't cuz there's no point humiliating you any more...

  • @breeknow

Just so you don't go all nuts and righteous because of a preposition mistake..

"how bad it looks FOR you"

  • @breeknow " cuz " you teach english !! GOD help them

  • @SuperPatrick777

Yeah.. "supream" instead of supreme... "weather" instead of whether

    Come on... stop embarrassing yourself...

I'm amazed at how bad your english is... in fact, it explains the reason why you didn't know "humankind" is a real word....

You're british and 51 years old, right??

    WHAT A LOSER....

Go ahead and keep talking ill about people who are obviously better than you ( Attenborough, me... and pretty much anyone on youtube)...

  • @breeknow the term humankind is a nasty pc term and tells me a lot about your mind set , i don't perfess to be a teacher so i am aloud some mistakes , that will not cost me my soul and as for attenborough being educated , well what is the point of that when he [ or you for that matter ] knows very little about the truth and does not want to know , and if you think my english is bad then you have not been on you tube much , or is that your feeble way of being sarcastic ...........

  • @SuperPatrick777

    You don't PROFESS to be?

You are ALLOWED some mistakes? Not if you're trying to correct something that is ALREADY right....

Look... your belief in god is as weakly founded as your belief in yourself...

Look up "humankind" in ANY DICTIONARY....

Just a tip... Do you wanna be saved by your god?? Don't believe you know it all and try to correct everybody...

By what I have read on your youtube comments, you're WRONG most of the times....

  • @breeknow your about as thick as they come " no one as blind as the one who does not want to see "

  • @SuperPatrick777

That kind of suits you better than me....

  • @breeknow

is that all you can say ?

  • @SuperPatrick777

    See my point?

I have DESTROYED you in every single aspect of this argument.. and yet.. you refuse to see that YOU do not have anything else to say.....

Then you come up with a biblical quote that's actually a bigtime description of YOU!!!

I'm not wasting my time on you anymore.. you are one of the dumbest people I've had the bad luck of talking to on youtube...

  • @breeknow

1/ you have distroyed nothing 2/ i am a sinner , i think it is me who is wasteing my time trying to get through to you , as jesus once said " don't cast your pearls at swines " , you could not be a better example of that , GOD help you .......

  • @SuperPatrick777

    Wait a minute..

By correcting something that is already right ( and subsequently calling that correct term "nasty pc term" you were trying to get through to me??

The only way you can get through to me is by being coherent.... can you be so?

  • @breeknow

" coherant " have you ever heard of the word context , i did not say for one second that the word humandkind did not exist i repeat, it is a nasty pc term which tells me the way a person thinks ..........

  • @SuperPatrick777 Yep. Get some hobbies, perhaps take wicker weaving classes?

  • @jimmyhayers

    Can you believe this guy??

  • @jimmyhayers why don't you try reading the bible

  • @SuperPatrick777 The Bible? Is that the new Dan Brown?

  • @jimmyhayers entropy in action

  • @SuperPatrick777

But it's not a nasty pc term.. It is a real word...

What the hell are you talking about?

Is it because it is not in the Bible??

You know absolutely nothing about me other than the fact that I have a better control of English than you...

Now... if all people who believe in god act like you.... the world is in deep trouble...

  • Comment removed

  • @breeknow i repeat context

  • @SuperPatrick777

You know shit about shit... except for your bible... have a nice one...

    Gonna watch a movie now....

  • @breeknow " my words are sharper than any double edged sword "

  • @breeknow "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks "

  • An Amazing man!!!!! I've always loved his documentaries. Before I saw this video I figured him to be a somewhat snobby character. Guess I was wrong then.

  • love it he is a great human

  • excellent man.

  • yeah. awesome seeing his wardrobe strategy too lol. He's resourceful like bbc-naturalist-bear-grylls LOL.

  • Interesting video, it's was cool to learn about his daily life

  • lovely man

  • It must be nice to have the background, achievements and natural, self-esteem so that bragging, arrogance and judging others don't even occur to you. Wish we were all like David A (and Michael P.)

  • What a gentleman.

  • EXCELLENT!!! Witty and very engaging video. Michael Palin is not the least better about his clothes choices. I love the mentioning of Sir David flying in the swamp washed trousers:))))) So charmingly funny I still have a smile on my face. Thanks Mr Palin!

  • What is the music playing in the background?

  • He is right. You cannot be on a job and have people focus on something else.I like this man

  • strangely, i can just picture david attenborough in a feather boa.

  • my hero <3

  • Attenborough's nature documentaries are often quite something. The general impression you get is that you've been invited to a private party by a super-rich English gentleman who's absolutely nuts about biology, so he takes you around the world in this extra-special space/time craft he has, and because he's so famous and so polite the world's leaders let him wander about the countryside all they want in every nation because they know he's just all about all this neat-o natural phenomena

  • well put

  • Thank you.

  • a gentleman and a scholar, what a legend, thanks for sharing this video, cheers

  • What a fantastic chap! I have so much respect for him!
