only good songs by the tragically hip: It can't be nashville every night, and poets, all the rest are crap and all the same (infact, poets and it can't be nashville every night also sound similar)
@BowieRulez no, i actually have better hearing then most people and am smarter than most people my age (i am 14) but i just don't really like tragically hip, i prefer david bowie, leonard cohen, duke ellington, frank sinatra, meatloaf, BTO, stryper and ALMOST everything else, though i do have very diverse tastes in music, i only found one band in which i like every song by (stryper)
@themasterofmovies DOH! I was soooo close to taking you seriously, but you ruined it with Stryper. Ah well, you're 14, you'll grow out of that...hopefully. I suggest a good dose of Leadbelly and Robert Johnson to speed you on your way.
@themasterofmovies Why don't I ike Stryper? Let me count the ways. The hair, the tights, the crappy guitar playing, the stripes, and most especially, all the stupid lyrics about God, including the total evisceration of The Battle Hymn of the Republic. If I wanted to listen to religious music, which I don't, I certainly wouldn't be listening to Stryper or any dumb Christina pop band they have now. Instead I'd go to the deep South and find me a Baptist church to sit outside of on a Sunday morning.
@BowieRulez those happen to be all the reasons i do like stryper! (they don't have the same hair anymore), i especially like the lyrics about God, seeing as i am a Christian, and their version of battle hymn of the republic is genius!
@themasterofmovies Ah, well...there's no hope for you then, unless of course you grow out of it...unlikely but possible....as long as you can stay away from Bible camps.
Just found the Hip within the past week or so..... They are fucking brilliant!!! Can't believe that I haven't heard of them before now!!! Stupid American mainstream...lol Haven't heard a Hip song yet that I don't like. I'm pimping their tunes out to everyone I know!!!!! <3
@Limerlight I could probably do better than this song and I failed in music. Could i do better than "New Orleans is sinking" HELL FUCKIN NO! They are slacking! I know it! I'm fuckin psychic and a huge fan...
