Plastic bushings ?!? WTF!!

Im find that quite amuzing. In the "old days" the first thing you were suposed to upgrade in your TM were the plastic bushings. I wonder why manufacturers are doing that now. Is there any advantage on having plastic bushings or is it just a lame cost saving method?

Agreed my externals look like crap if I don`t say so myself. But I`m doing 22 rps on a stock 8.4v plus a nice 240 feet range is also nice. so agreed internals first external later.
