Sidious merely used Anakin to make things easier, and put him one step closer to darkness.
@HighPraetar Actually, Yoda couldn't use the same Force power that Windu had that was unique to him, and also, Windu's lightsaber style was unique to him as well in that it drew on the power of the Dark Side while not turning him to it. So, really, Windu had the best chance of anyone, and did beat him, but Anakin ruined it, because he was a giant noob.
