@StevenBTT You've obviously never seen a fast honda in ur life, i have a 550hp 99' JL built lightning and i have a 92 eg honda with all motor b20 vtec pushing about 315 on s2 stage 3 cams. My honda is 100% more reliable and its better on gas. Drive a mustang tahaa? is that as good of a comeback u can get? Ur saying drive a mustang, mustangs are slow as fuck you cant even get 12s out of a stock cobra on street tires. Mustang=FAIL. Ur a retard, u probably own a 3 valve explorer 4.6l mustang gt.
man im sorry but.. you suck.. rsx never fall under vtec.. YOU ARE SHORT SHIFTING plus you are double clutching.. its going to take you like 10 seconds that way hello!
hey american dickhead it is called exaggeration in saying how slow he shifted gears.. but nice try you fagot i know what double clutching is and also short shifting..
those launches that you see at the track for fwd cars 'double clutch' in the so they don't peel out.
people really good at this don't spin out at ALL during the start. this guy spun out pretty bad at the beginning. also his shifting wasn't the best thing in the world, but it would save him some time.
uh if you double cluch it will take alot longer. If you dubble clutched it you would be going from 1st-nuetral-2nd-nuetral-3rd. This car wasn't made 80 years ago......
car was not hard launched. notice no tire spin or hop. you can even hear the partial throttle.
rsx is not "wack" as you put it. it is a well balanced car that is meant for auto-x road courses and not straight line performance. please tell me another 4 banger that averages 34+ on the highway that will outperform on a road course in the same catagory......
well as much as i love the RSX its one of the worst handling hondas. honda decided to go away from the double wishbone and went with a mcphearson but used a cheapo version, and there you have it..only way to make it handle is to add coilovers at the least
I was also disappointed by that, but that's how Acura was able to keep the cost at the lowest. I don't know many people who'd pay more to get that option.
well i see it as this...its acura, not honda...if people are willing to shell out more money for an rsx rather than a civic si (ep3 body) then acura should have used a good setup...higher cost but better results
im well aware of that, ive been working on hondas for 2 years until I just got rid of mine a week ago. what im saying is acura is supposed to be the upscale division of honda, they should not have cheaped out on suspension componenets. if people were willing to pay more money for an RSX rather than a civic, a few extra expenses would not have made a big difference. Better yet, they could have given the type-s a different suspension that cost more and kept the regular RSX as a budget minded car.
McPhearson supension is in the front; however, there is a double wishbone suspension in the back. As for my 2006 Type S, it is the best handeling car I have driven. After all, it is meant for road coarse racing.
also car looks stock. this may be rice, but ur wife must be asian because she likes mine :)
silly haters. this video is for reference. not to show off. please read tags for videos before posting ignorant comments. also this car get's 28+mpg on mixed driving. wut does ur rustang get Don? not nearly the same i bet.
hey mustnagdon, go play with ur do dads. and it was no hard launch. car is roughly stock, and i bought it with the mods that are on it. i am going to upload a few night vids when it's cooler. i've figured out that the aftermarket intake that is currently installed is not good for warm weather regions (i live in FL). current car mods are crap intake and crap exhaust. still has stock cat.
well 5800 to be exact.... a loud crossover isn't necessarily good even though you can hear it distinctly on all stock type s's; reminds me of my stock type s
secondaries? dual stage vtec? lol. what the hell!? the DOHC vtec engines are quite simple guys, really. on DOHC the vtec works on intake, and when you hear the "secondaries/dual stage" (as you call it), thats when the exhaust valves are more aggressive and open more- hense the louder sound at 5800rpms. simple. no crazy second stage vtec, just valves moving differently all because of oil:)
bahahha slow cars thinking they are fast. drive a mustang kid.

pretty loud vtec.... stock?
flipkid64 3 years ago
0-60 in under 8 seconds, over 7 seconds. it was a normal 'launch' for a FWD.
if you learn to double clutch you'll shave off half a second.
isntthisacrapysn 3 years ago
wtf double clutch...
are you serious?
ritzblitz1 3 years ago
yea dude from the start, as in ; locking your front wheels.
not the 'double clutch' during shifting that people see on youtube haha.

doubleclutch dude u need to stop watching fast and the furious!

god damn me and my wrong words.
instead of "spin out" i meant "peel out"... when your wheels spin losing traction.

i dont know about the last rsx, it might have a good bit to do with the fact that you have a much lower profile tire...

well it kicks it 6k and it's so Loud because there are Secondaries + VTEC so it's like a Dual Stage VTEC. Integra GSR and Type R does the same thing.
