  • I much prefer Virtua Fighter, myself.

  • I love Virtua Fighter with a passion, but their charters are generic right down to their names. Jeffry? A Chinese girl named Eileen? Eileen? Seriously?

  • Sorry, I don't play Vitrue Fighter that much, but can someone tell me if VF has demonic characters?

If not, then there would be no rivals for Devil and Devil Jin.

  • @StoonCoold Does Dural count? (Final boss in VF Series)

  • @Rocksabe

Like I said, I don't play VF that much. So, whoever that Dural is, maybe that could count.

    lol

  • @Rocksabe Not really, though its Extremely strong and can probably hold its on against devil jin, Dural is a more of a futuristic Cyborg then a demon.

  • @DaNorthernLight

Why? Because Street Fighter and Tekken are better games then Virtua Fighter.

  • What's this, your videos have more views than mine?!

    FOREVER A FANDUBBER

    WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

  • Paul > Jean Kujo Law > Jacky Raven > Kage Xiao Yu > Eileen Marduk > Jeferry Ganryu > Taka Arashi Asuka > Aoi Bruce > Brad Wang > Lau Chan Feng > Lei Fei Zafina > Lion Lei Wu Long > Shun Di King > El Braze Dragunov > Venessa Lewis Amor King > Wolf Lee > Sarah Julia > Pai Chan Kazuya > Goh Hinogami Leo > Akira Tekken > VF
  • Tekken vs Soul Calibur would be cheapest for Namco to make, Tekken vs Street Fighter would look hideously mismatched, but Tekken vs Virtua Fighter would be absolutely awesome - make it happen, Sega!

  • @DaNorthernLight SF x Tekken would make more money.

They don't do shit that makes sense, they do things they figure would generate money.

Hence Mortal Kombat vs DC, and Street Fighter Vs Marvel.

  • Tekken and Virtua Fighter are my top fighters. I don't see how anyone could choose between the 2.

Virtua Fighter: Realistic moves with the best throws for each character. Though I disagree with the jugging.

Tekken: Superhuman with the best executions, though I hate the juggling.

In the end, each release is an instant classic. A VS or X would put the 3D fighters in check because nothing will compete.

  • @DaNorthernLight yeah i did not like that they put together a 2D fighter and a 3D fighter.

  • DOA vs Tekken or Virtua Fighter vs Tekken or DOA vs Virtua Fighter - any of those would make more sense than Street Fighter X Tekken or Tekken X Street Fighter

    I'll buy both though

  • @DaNorthernLight true I see Tekken vs VF

and Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat

those would be much better and more fitting

  • Tekken... wins!

  • both suck SOUL CALIBUR!! is the best!!!!

  • @puertorricanstar God forbid two games be good AT THE SAME TIME.

  • @puertorricanstar soul calibur sucks sure it has some good qualities about but i would choose any other fighting game over it.

  • @Tekken57330 ur crazy how da hell does soul calibur suck its better than virtua fighter

  • @abiola100000 there's not a lot of moves on the game.

  • @Tekken57330 its still a good games if the number of moves dicided wether a fighting gme wuz good street fighter and alot of the fighting games we love would suck ask alot of people they will agree soul calibur is 1 of the best fighters its got good gameplay good graphics and the 2nd best storsy in fighting games

  • @abiola100000 i can agree on that comment.

  • akira vs jin, goh vs kazuya, Taka Arashi vsganryu, kage vs raven and el fuerte vs el blaze......wait el fuerte is a streetfighter character

  • Virtua Fighter is the more intricate and nuanced fighter by far, especially the later instalements. Namco’s debased imitation may be popular with the idiot gaming masses, but really doesn’t come at all close to VF in terms of quality.

  • @Pogogacy Now's no time to be a snob. Tekken's a good series, though I am going to fault it for an unnecessarily high execution barrier that rewards you with less depth than VF does.

  • @Pogogacy i agree that's what i been saying in other videos.

  • @Pogogacy Agree. Although nowhere near as deep and subtle as Sega's Virtua Fighter (1993), Namco's Tekken (1994) is still an excellent fighting game in every respect, full of clever touches and interesting characters. Sega never sued Namco for creating the similar Tekken, like Fighter's History (1993), which isn't a 'direct copy' (as Capcom argued), but a tribute to SFII - a congratulatory rendition of a genre that was perfected by SFII, yet omnipresent since the heyday of Yie Ar Kung-Fu (1985).

  • @Pogogacy such big words!! its a game not rocket science and i like both i dont have to choose one or the other

  • And here's yet again some more

The character who want's to avenge the death of of a family member = Helena, Eddy Gordo, Miguel, Leo

The army guy = Bayman, Leon

The siblings = Jacky and Sarah Bryant, Kasumi, Ayane and Hayate, Nina and Anna Williams

The Jackie Chan alike = Brad Wong, Lei Wulong

The karate fighter = Jin Kazama, Hitomi, Ein

The chef = Marshall Law, Lau Chan

The father and daughter = Lau and Pai, Bass and Tina

Is there any that I've missed here I wonder LOL!

  • @7039TS raven = ninja

  • @7039TS isnt brad wong from DOA?

  • And here's yet more

The assassin = Goh, Christie, Nina

The Wrestlers = El Blaze, Wolf, Tina, Bass, La Mariposa, King, Armor King

The Ninja's = Kage - Maru, Kasumi, Ayane, Hayabusa, Hayate, Yoshimitsu, Kunimitsu

The old Chinese man = Shun Di, Gen Fu, Wang Jinrei

The middle aged Chinese man = Lei Wulong, Lau Chan

The young Chinese girl = Pai Chan, Leifang, Ling Xiaoyu

The Bruce Lee alike = Jann Lee, Marshall and Forest Law

The sumo wrestler = Taka Arashi, Ganryu

  • u know what if they did make 2 versions of tekken vs vf i would only get the tekken version lol

  • Tekken RULEZZ

  • tekken rules !!!!!!!

  • tekken sound is horrible, it's not a fighting sound when you hit the opponent, it's really bad

  • Virtua Fighter had better graphics than Tekken back in the 90s (Compare VF3 and Tekken 2)LOL

  • um isnt it supposed to be DoA vs tekken lol

  • Tekken is great for competitive gameplay, VF focuses more of the serious martial arts styles. it's non weapon based and need not lighting effects or exaggerated damage. As far as realism goes, Virtua Fighter comes a little more close to it. Though as of now, no Fighting game I have ever yet seen that displays a realistic combo without the use of air physics.

  • @MiddleEasternBorder why is every1 saying that u use weapons in tekken? its items. not really apart of fighting unless its yoshimitsu

  • @thoroughbred765

It's just ridiculous to add weapons or items in Tekken if you're considering to play a serious martial arts game. some of Yoshi's sword moves are now blockable, In reality, that isn't possible.

  • @MiddleEasternBorder oh well its fun and if u dont want that. dont by the items lmao

  • @thoroughbred765 That's not what I meant. If you want a realistic fighting game which still makes a little sence to human physics (like MMA), VF comes close to that except for the combos. Tekken ha a bit weird path to go to. It has some characters techniques in real life but also has some exxagerated ones too. Items are just common nowadays for any fighting game, but adding weapons or adding random characters in tekken pretty much wants to be like SSBB or MVsC2

  • @MiddleEasternBorder if u wanna be truthful mma and ufc are too slow. the combos in tekken are tested. they are doable in top physical condition. but if u think about it VF is slow as well

  • @thoroughbred765 Okay, were talking about a different segment here. The gameplay you like is extreme but VF doesn't go beyond that. It's a simulator in which the fighters and moves are still understandable in real life. Fast movements in Tekken, you mean their epileptic sidesteps, backdash cancels and wavedashes? I don't find that realistic at all. Which is why VF and Tekken are shouldn't be compared too much in terms of gameplay. Some like it flashy, some like it raw.

  • @MiddleEasternBorder i dont find doing a flying knee and staying in the air for like 2 seconds n not bein able to fight for a whole nother sec real either lmao

  • @thoroughbred765 That's just the weakness of most of these fighting games. Though combos (of any variant) are definitely cool, the realism of this attribute was half as close as it can get. Boxing, Wrestling and MMA games can get it close though by taking shots one at a time.

  • @MiddleEasternBorder Compared to Street fighter and mortal kombat, both games look realistic

  • virtua fighter is the best beat em up !!

  • tekken is definetly not the most balanced of any of the fighters. at all. look at the heavy hitters with the one or 2 punch knockouts?what about all the combo juggling craziness? i can go on . as with VF it IS the most balanced of all the fighting games 3d wise. characters power and speed and strength is determined by size, shapes , and even the martial arts style. Tekken 6 BOB, oh cmon? vf is based on more realism, tekken surely is not. i see a fat man doing all that then yeah.

  • @yavoz32 you said it... I like VF and Tekken... but Tekken has no where near the dept as VF when it comes to the fighting... at the end of the day I would love to see a Tekken vs VF... sadly I don't think that VF has the global popularity that Tekken has, so it probably won't happen

  • most people that really are deep fans of certain fighting games are for certain reasons. for some its doa and its intutive fighting gameplay and countering see saw battles and with jiggling beauties. lol. with tekken its the sharp graphics and combo juggling and robust roster. with virtua fighter is the required mastery of ones gameplay skills and complex character movesets to perform. vf is not for an avergae gamer to just pick up and play. Tekken tho is.

  • @CaMote558, LOL free hit. well i read what you said and all i can say is... lacking grunts or nyelps when hit? ok that is NOT a major issue with VF5 at all. takes nothing away from actual gameplay of the game or the experience. if you play VF5 you will hear them especially from the character advancing and attacking. but yeah lol you dont have much an argueing space on that. lol

  • I was never fond of VF. It is lacking a few things, for one, there are no chracter grunts or yelps when hit. To me, that seems rather dull because it'll intensify the experience. However, as I look at VF5, (played demo and watched gameply) I want to play more of the game. I will have to go with Tekken for now, and since I have nothing to back up my arguement, I'm free for a free hit -__-o

  • the very best 3d fighting game matchup is without a doubt Vf vs doa. doa maybe a bit flashy but it does have way more realism than tekken of the styles used. taking 3 or 4 from tekken and saying look at theirs is way off from the 50 plus fighters who's are not used as realistic. no laser eyebeams, no lighting spin uppercuts, no woodmen and kanagroos and raptors, thats vf vs doa , to use those is for sf vs tekken. point blank. Vf5 is he beter fighting game for true martial arts purist gamers.

  • cont. i beat tekken so quick i was bored. except for the tekken force thingy. keeps it going ok but ya get bored wih that too. I am not a preffered fanboy of either bu i know my games. and as for martial arts people preffer tekken, WRONG! We devote martial artists gamers would rather have a game that shows our realism of skills so that goes to Virtua fighter not tekken. tekken is farther away from realism than VF. VF is closer to real as you gonna get nowadays. A 35 hit combo in air? I think not

  • cont.. as for vf i can do more to get out of the tight situation. its more a see saw battle. graphics wise. please VF5 win that hands down up or whatever. tekken 6 is just a lil better than the last. stages sizes, yeah you need larger for tekken cause of the combo strains. vf is about utilizing the space to get the win. a tekken fan can not appreciate the time to put in to be good at vf, tekken is pick up and play. masher friendly. You get instant gratisfication with tekken. its easier.

  • Ok i play both games since the begining of each heyday. vf was more slow paced bu involved more a steeper learning curve, tekken was more flashy and required more combo heavy inputs. now with them boh evolving to what they are now, i like both but i favor Vf5 more my playstyle. its more rewarding to me than tekken 6. tekken has zero balance! like said before, hit me with a long combo , i can go take a shit, make some coffee and watch cnn and come back and he just finished. its too dull.

  • VF - 3 buttons...

  • i vote for tekken. it looks more cool. and its 1 of my fav games. i have tekken 6 for the psp and it looks better than VF4 on the ps2. and tekken actually hase more games for the ps2. and they have good graphics and more characters

  • well obviously tekken would get a lot of votes. it's overrated just like twilight. yes, i'm comparing you tekken dickriders to twilight fangirls.

  • @jumpgathers - Don't think so...Tekken has plenty of improving. Try again.

  • @Kimoraman1

who cares. I respect VF but this game is so boring.

  • @Kimoraman1 Im not sayin you cant improv in tekken, its just that the characters move in and out of their combos a lot faster and smoother in Virtua Fighter.Tekken moves clunky unless youre doing packaged combos. Btw I think people see flashy lights and presentation and confuse them with better grafix. Iplay a LOT of fighters and It may b dull to look at but the character models in VF5 look more solid and realistic than tekken 6 imo

  • Tekken has a lot of flash but it uses a dial-a-combo approach that doesnt lend itself to improvisation like VFs system Tekken focuses on who has the bigger offense where as VF balaces offense and defense you can step into the third dimension EFFECTIVELY in VF to counter attacks. as far as realistic movement youd have to be stevie wonder to say that VFs moves arent as realistist looking as tekken. Its obvious that VF uses motion caputre tech, so how can anyone say that.

  • tekken vs virtua fighter haha! tekken serpassed then when they made tekken 3!

But lets tlk next gen not past... Virtua fighter 5 was really good... best fighting game out when it game out .. gameplay kinda clunky but still a deeper experience then dead or alive( even thou there gameplay was more entertianing to watch... yet ust like the last one) but that another storie... where was i yess virtua ighter 5 was the best and really good until tekken 6 came out! now virtau fighter looks shit!

  • lol DBZ soundtrack

  • I would have to say Virtua Fighters cuz it was the first 3D Fighting game therefore the Original and in my opinion the best

  • On basis of fighting styles, I say Akira vs. Jin, Kage vs. Raven, Jacky vs. Law, Sarah vs. Lee, Pai vs. Julia, Shun vs. Lei, Aoi vs. Asuka, Taka vs. Ganryu, Vanessa vs. Marduk, Lei Fei vs. Feng, Goh vs. Paul, Brad vs. Bruce, Eileen vs. Xiaoyu, and El Blaze vs. King.

  • Virtua fighter has no hit indicators.

Plus, the hit boxes aren't perfect, ie, a characters foot doesn't LOOK like it hits the opponent, but a hit registers. This is really disorientating. In a tight fight - both reality AND games, being able to react after whiffs is critical. Even if a character's foot technically doesn't reach in Tekken, as you get the hit indicator, you're not left confused.

Most martial artists prefer Tekken's system, the controls make sense.

  • @Karmoon7 i was almost face down on the floor and i got hit with a high kick

  • well, based on fighting styles. its: paul & akira feng & lao nina & sarah law & jackie king & el blaze unknown & dural marduk & jeffrey raven & kage sori, but the mashima's out power VF firepower its a given fact.
  • both games are good. but tekken is more technical .and real martial arts moves, combos. very realistic. but vf5 technical bad.unreal martial art moves.

  • el blaze looks like rey misterio

  • I think they are both pretty good fighter games, speccialy tekken from 5 and virtua fighter from 4. I prefer VF for his gameplay but Tekken has a larger cast of characters with lots of moves, anyway, virtua fighter has many more moves than tekken and the controls are completely different, Virtua fighter is fastest ( I have not tried Tekken 6 and virtua fighter 5 cause I own a ps2 ) I remember playing tekken 2 and vF 2 at first and I dindn´t like it, I was on the MK style then :P

  • just wondering my fav char king vs el blaze in the ring

its like batista vs rey mysterio

  • If you Tekken fans think Tekken is better than Virtua Fighter, because of Tekken being easier, then consider yourself gamers that dislike effort. Tekken is okay, but I think Virtua Fighter is better, not only it started it all, but it's simply a more rewarding gaming experience and I feel like I have to really work to get the best out of it. Tekken, or indeed, SoulCalibur on the otherhand, offer very good results without having to try at the game (i.e. button mashing CAN and usually will work).

  • @vincent8er 1. I just think that pretty much all games today are too easy even on the highest difficulty and I'm just speaking up for everyone.

    2. How is that not sarcasm.

    3. Why'd you start talking about computers and online play for no reason?

  • @vincent8er 1. I absolutely suck at fighting games, I'm just saying that fighting games should have a challenge

    2. You should change your name to sarcasm8r

  • Virtua Fighter>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Tekken.

Way more complex and its actually about strategy and not braindead spams.

  • @VChapaev Actually they are very different when it comes to strategy, control scheme, and appeal.

That's one of the main reasons the crossover is taking so long.

  • virtua fighter is all about technique and its also the first true 3d fighter while tekken is all flash no substance. sorry tekken fanboys.

  • im a tekken fanboy that agrees with you.

  • @nooblet911 Tekken is too easy to play.

  • @Andthatswhymacssuck how is it too easy?

  • @thoroughbred765 I'm just saying I prefer the serious challenge and balance of Virtua Fighter

LAWL, you got into flame war

  • @Andthatswhymacssuck i respect yo opinion man but this dude is trash and he talkin to me and callin me out my name over tekken. funny part is he aint even played me yet

  • @thoroughbred765 I know, I read it

    Trolls suck

  • @Andthatswhymacssuck i know so what do you think about the cross over.... really i think it'd be better than marvel vs capcom

  • @thoroughbred765 Ya see, that's not really a comparison at all because they would be extremely different (yes i am excited)

Anyway I think that it will probably be very difficult to have made because Tekken & VF are very different fighters so either at least one side of the fans are going to have to learn the other's controls or each side would have to have different controls which makes it a very difficult game to design

What I'm saying is that this might not happen.

  • @Andthatswhymacssuck true but idk i only played vf once on dream cast on a demo LONG AGO

  • Both Virtua Fighter and Tekken have their sets of strengths and weaknesses when it comes to gameplay and presentation (VF's technical fighting, Tekken having more personality, etc.). One must also admit that without Virtua Fighter, there wouldn't be Tekken either.

  • Tekken for win!

  • Yes we all know that VF was the first 3-D game but Tekken was the first good one. LOL

  • Tekken forever. I tried VF but the game was just boring to me, the characters kind of sucked, and the stages just didn't feel all that great. So yeah I'm going to go with Tekken on this one.

  • Bloody Roar

  • tekken ftw

  • VF5 is renowned for its very balanced characters, but it has a really steep learning curve which makes average gamers prefer Tekken.

  • which song is it??? i think it's from dragonball??

  • love tekken but vf5 is a masterpiece. tekken is becoming unbalanced and trying to do to much. I am kinda bored with it already. Most people dont like vf cause they cant play it, it takes along time to learn how to play vf at a high level.

  • tekken 6 br is one of the most balanced fighters ever, and certainly the most balanced tekken ever

    btw

  • what teken 6 are you playing. some characters have ridiculously easy juggles and some can juggle of several moves. Im not against juggles but the bounce extends juggles to easily. what happened to tekken needing to be mastered to do those long juggles using Just frame.

  • ease of use doesn't have anything to do with tier placements. i main asuka who might have some of the easiest executions input wise who has amazing damage potential with walls but is still considered around a B- on tier lists..

besides, in any high end match you need advanced spacing skills which are universal.

people always seem to think tekken is all about juggles when in fact ur standup/mixup is infinitely times more important

but back to my point. the diff between B and S class is small

  • @probablychris bullshit tekken 6 IS TOO UNBALANCED. BECUZ OF JUGGLES AND S***. difficult for some to do like julia and easy for law... law, bob, king broke. christie, asuka, lili, kuma, marduk really cheap. comin from a tekken fan

  • @thoroughbred765 wtf are you talking about. just because you're too dumb to do a combo with julia doesn't make the game unbalanced... you have no clue what you're talking about and frankly you don't even make sense. u aint no tekken fan

i can tell you're another online scrub. no character is cheap. C tier can beat S tier... it depends on the skill of the players, and judging by your comment, you don't have any.

  • @probablychris bich my bryan is 422 in ranks you fuckin loser im not dumb its just a hard combo u fuckin no life havin wanabe. fuck tiers bet i can whoop yo dumb ass. tired of u geeks gettin loud over the truth. ITS VERY UNBALANCED BICH I HAVE EVERY TEKKEN you cant tell me ya fuckin virgin

  • @thoroughbred765 are you retarded? i dont give a fuck if you have every tekken. ur 16 meaning u was probably like 5 when tekken one was released... anyways. answer me this, what on earth does combo difficulty have to do with balance? how the hell does that factor into how good a certain character is. i guess it can factor in if you're a scrub and always drop combos. in that case, u need to sit your ass down in practice mode cuz u clearly aint ready for competitive tekken

  • @probablychris bich i was fuckin 1 ya coq suckin emo. IT has every thing to do with it u dumb fuck. if its easier for law to take half some1s life in a juggle than it is for julia how the fuck is she suppose to compete? frames too. bich u a 4rth dan u are super weak. competitive? bich 422!

  • @probablychris i jus saw yo video you fuckin scrub u aint nothin but a low rank average asuka doin ya cheap low shit and 1+2 how dare you lmao. i jus started hwoarang last weak and my shit is better dan dat. sweep. sweep juggle. you a bich on tekken lmao dont come at me. all you asuka players suck ass

  • @thoroughbred765 first off, i hardly play online because online is where the ass players are, and that shit lags. second, that video is hella old. third, that was against LOC a respectable veteran. i dont give a fuck about my ranking online because online is not real tekken. only scrubs care about that. btw your hwoarang sucks. no spacing, no juggles, no mixups, no punishes. btw only scrubs cry about lows. where u live? i'll gladly money match you for any amount.

  • @probablychris i jus started on hwoarang u nbred cousin fucking hillbilly. thats why it says newbing. fuckin dumb aligator puss. ill take a match u weak ho. only real scrubs complain about online unless its like lagging. real tekken pffft.

  • @probablychris big pussy

  • @probablychris helly old bich thats 3 months after it was OUT. idiot. most balanced yea tell that to every1 else that play online

  • @thoroughbred765 I'm going to be real civil with you because you obviously seem extremely angry about this subject. I am not going to rebuke any of your arguments because you seem too hard-headed to take into account anything I say. I will say this though, you are obviously a beginner at Tekken and that's ok, but I suggest visiting the tekkenzaibatsu forums, and reading up on the fundamentals of competitive play including how balance works, and why online play is not real tekken.

  • @thoroughbred765 If you want me to explain in further detail about what I've been trying to tell you this whole time I would gladly do so. just message me. just remember, there is no such thing is a 'cheap' character. There are ways around e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g in this game. there is no right or wrong way of playing. play to win-just be weary that online Tekken is not a good indication of how good you really are.

  • @probablychris k we can fight to settle whatever psn Vishis765 redy for watever

  • @probablychris there's no such thing as a most balanced fighter and tekken is far from balanced. please don't spout nonsense when you clearly don't know anything about fighters. dragon ball was prolly the only fighter you've played and that was more balanced than tekken's circus act juggles.

  • @moggless first of all i said ONE OF THE, not the most. second of all, tekken has 40 characters all of which are capable of winning tournaments. YOU don't know what you're talking about... name another fighter that's that balanced let alone being so in depth. the difference between s-tier and c-tier is minimal compared to most fighters. so dont fucking come at me when you don't know jack shit ok?

  • @probablychris well you're already looking at it. virtua fighter 5. mind you i've played tekken first and seriously at that then i got to try this masterpiece. and i must say it excels in all aspects than tekken both balancing and depth. 40 characters capable of winning tourneys? but i only see bob, bryan, steve and prolly mishimas cause they got toned down, and lars maybe. that's not even 10 of the 40 rosters you mentioned. so don't tell me i don't know shit.

  • @kungfukid79 I agree virtua fighter is harder to master but for me its cake since i so used to the mecahanics of the game i have a saturn and a dreamcast and ps2 ps3 so i been playing them my whle life i only own tekken 4 and tekken 5 but those game are too damn easy to learn to play making it no fun it takes real skill to play VF

  • It goes both ways:

VF is harder to jump into, but once you do it's easy to enjoy because it's simple but complex and competition is more about strategy.

Tekken is easier to learn but hard to enjoy because it's simple but FRUSTRATING, and competition is more about what death juggles you know and the attacks you spam.

Sometimes, when someone gets me in a juggle, I can just put down the controller, make a sandwhich and resume my place 20 minutes later in the same juggle.

  • rofl that's so true

  • @DaELFGokulio The very first tekken i played(tekekn1 and i played all the way to T6 along with Tekken Tag Tournament 1)didn`t have juggles and it was more harder based and strategy wise.I liked it that way than as soon as i saw juggling Tekken to me got a little gay becuase juggling is honestly a cheap way to beat somebody.I think tekken should go back to the old school straight up fighting way and separate juggling and non juggling(like make a option for both off and online).

  • @Tyrik73 dude, i know your pain, i dont like juggleing, but im cool wiht a 2-3 move juggle. Once they get over that i get pissed. If you play online a majority of people wont juggle that bad.

  • I have VF 4, who was good for his time, and ALL Tekken (include 6).

T6 seems so good, compared to VF5.

The graphics are more beautiful and more varied, and characters too.

The fight itself is more realistic in Tekken, because in VF, the sound and the motion seems similar to an old game, and seems like all characters are robots...

BTW, Tekken have a story, which become important in the "scenario campaign".

And the online mode is very good !

  • IMO, Virtua fighter couldn't beat Tekken after Tekken 3 came out. However, they were very close before that.

  • As far a story goes and me actually caring what happens to the characters in it, I'm all for my beloved Tekken! X3

  • goku will kick their asses anyday! LMAO

ahhh....the bgm brings back memories.... final bout lol

  • Tekken beats the shit out of virtua fighter anyday! the only virtua fighter game worth playing is 5 the rest is garbage.

Biggest fight DB finalbout nice song XD

  • namco made 2 difficult things

2 great fighting licenses like tekken and soul calibur, but my order is virtua fighter. soul calibur tekken, dead or alive

  • I actually like Soul Calibur more so than Tekken or Virtua Fighter don't really quite know why but I do lol. Maybe because I like the impact, guard and parrying system and graphical design better than both the other games.

  • thats a fact!

since the first game i allways wanted to play soul calibur at the arcades, the designs, the weapons the characters the stages, the ringouts...

  • for some reason, i enjoyed vf5 still more than tekken6. im a tekken lover myself but i dunno, the vf5 on my xbox seems more rewarding to play, plus i loved the arcade quest mode.. tekken5 just feels incomplete

  • VF with its Metal/solid oil naked woman. I call a Draw on realism. So in my book the record is 1 point for Tekken, no real advantages for VF5, and 2 draw areas. So by default I have to say Tekken is the better game. Of course, that is my objective opinion.

  • I own VF4 and VF5 and played all prior in arcade a lot when I was younger. I own all Tekken games. I enjoy both games a good deal, but I do like one more than the other. In terms of depth of command list Tekken wins out because even though the characters in VF5 have a good 30-50+ command list and unique styles providing opportunity for mastery, Tekken has double the amount of characters with 30-50+ techniques providing greater depth for mastery.

  • (cont.) It is arguable which game has the better physics engine seeing as how some people do not like Tekken's sometimes ridiculous juggling system and some people get annoyed by VF5's sometimes sluggish pace. I call a draw in physics. Truth is each game is unrealistic in its own way like for example juggling a human being in the air in Tekken and Kage leaping 20 feet in the air and head diving into an opponent. Tekken with kangaroos, bears, and wood dummies....

  • I never Played Tekken or Virtua fighter but i think it would be cool if there was a Crossover game.

cuz Capcom ,snk, tatsunoko, marvel,Dc and MK all have

done it. and soul caliber had Guest Characters.

  • okay which is better VF , Tekkens, DOA, Soul calibur

  • in this order, vf, tekken, sc, doa

  • I would say DOA is the best of them because it strikes a nice balance between the more realistic VF, and the fluent pace of SC. It's VF, but a little more outlandish. Being concious of counters stops people from button mashing and it has complexities.

I'd say SC next, then Tekken, then VF.

SC and Tekken are very close, but I just love the characters, stages and music of SC. The fantasy setting is beautiful.

  • I agree with ookami16

  • I like Tekken more, but I totally respect Virtua Fighter for being the first 3D fighting game. If it wasn't for Virtua Fighter, other 3D games such as Tekken, DOA and Soul Calibur wouldn't exist. Thank you Virtua Fighter!

  • @zinamaspana ehh i gotta say this. no fighting game should thank another for existing

  • @zinamaspana I agree dude.

  • Both are awesome, but for differing reasons.

Tekken appeals to novelty gamers, so it has a large cast, explosions, fantasy styled characters, multiple gameplay modes, ect.

Virtua Fighter's appeal comes from being directed to hardcore fighting game fans. As a result, it's cast doesn't need to be as large, it's more closely based on reality, and lacks extras, and simple yet masterful controls.

It's like chocolate and vanilla ice cream, some people like chocolate, others prefer vanilla.

  • VF is the better game!

    no doubt!

  • Funny how Virtua Fighter fanboys say that Tekken copied Virtua Fighter when they play nothing alike! Tekken uses a button dedicated to each limb while Virtua Fighter uses the punch, kick, guard system. It seems to me that DOA is a bigger clone (they play the same) yet no Virtua Fighter fanboys bash them. What do you fanboys have against Tekken?

  • I think its because many tekken fanboys usually have never played VF and dog down the series. I agree DOA is more of a copy..

  • virtua fighter is good but tekken is way better bcuz tekken is more violent than virtua fighter. virtua fighter is just a ko and ring out game while tekken shows blood and more bone cracking moves. and you can move around the stage more. and dont get me started on the characters tekken has way cooler characters than virtua fighter while virtua fighter has boring lookin characters dont get me wrong i like virtua fighter but compared to the 3 3d fighting games virtua fighter comes last

  • @leothefox1

-"Bone cracking moves"=Aoi, Kage, Goh. So that point is irrelevant

    -Neither one has blood

  • not exactly but i see what youre saying. overall kage and goh and aoi moves well in my opinion dosent look as violent oh and tekken does show blood well very small blood lol

  • VF is too fucking slow, its like watching turtles fight, theres no way they could cross the games, tekken is more fast paced and the moves require complex timing, people think button mashing will make for easy combos in tekken....HELL NO, the combos take lots of practice just to learn one. Tekken owns all by far.

  • THANK U!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @806TO713, lol watching turtles fight! That's what I thought when I made the mistake of buying VF4 for the PS2, I'll never play that plodding shit ever again, Tekken is so much better in every way.

  • I would prefer a crossup betwen tekken and dead or alive .

  • I think it should be the best tekken fighters vs the best virtual fighters.

  • Virtua Fighter vs Tekken < MK vs DCU, simple as that

  • I prefer Tekken.

  • Speculation of Tekken vs Virtua Fighter has been going on ever since both games came out.

If a cross-up ever comes up, it's gonna be epic! I'm a huge Tekken fan, but I also love Virtua Fighter
