  • from RVD

  • wtf? so john morrison got the starship pain from all these years

  • 2:18 wow that was f'n bruuuutal!!!!

  • rvd owns hardy

  • RVD debut against a jobber i mean jeff in 90s

  • yes kids thats Jeff Hardy... he debuted in 1993 -___-

  • King was right. That splash was better than Snuka.

  • @ 3:54

    LMAO

    RVD is sooo gay!

  • what year is this?

  • JESUS RVD Has changed so much I mean listen to his voice even that has changed

  • lol RVD almost broke that guys neck

  • @Cyberpunk747

    You mean Jeff Hardy?

  • Cant Believe Thats Jeff Hardy..

  • this really shouldn't have been a crush match, RVD was never even hit...

  • They Piped that song in. I remeber watchign this and he enetered to the old ECW main theme they used on ECW tv... harry slash and the slashtones.

  • And thus the eternal feud between Jeff and Rob was born.

  • How can RVD sit there ans listen to him shit talk ECW... and then shit talk ECW himself?!

  • so why did rvd then actually come to wwe full time in 2001?

  • it's now pretty obvious that RVD and jeff Hardy made each other's careers...

  • wow someone whom loves ecw was selling out

  • Can't belive thats jeff hardey

  • iz this throwback night?

  • Lawler hating on them cause the USWA sucked ass compared to ECW

  • Mon catcheur préféré.

  • RVDs sweat is pure THC

  • 3:50 STARSHIP PAIN?!

  • @OneVoiceOneTruth No, it's a Splitlegged Moonsault, it's been a signature of RVD's for as long as I can remember. Starship Pain is a Splitlegged Corkscrew Moonsault.

  • @OneVoiceOneTruth nope! JoMo does this little twist spin to it

  • Wow, not often you see Jeff HArdy get his butt kicked by a fellow high flyer

  • Love that both these guys became WWE champion lol

  • When Jeff was nothing but a jobber

  • ECW=Extreme Crappy Wrestling

  • that was jeff hardy

  • RVD had different theme music here right?

  • @rocker316ify It's the music he came into the WWF with in 2001

  • @1snub U mean the original version of One Of A Kind?

  • @rocker316ify Yeah...Im not sure if it's on Youtube but watch RVD Vs Jeff Hardy Invasion in 2001

  • @1snub Yeah he had the original version of One of a Kind in 2001 but not here in 1997.

  • IMPLANT BUSTER

  • WHAT YEAR WAS THIS.

  • @LucasJTopping 1997

  • the old WWf makes ECW looks old on the shows

  • It's the Starship Pain before the Starship Pain

  • At this point in his career..RVD would've made a good tag-team partner or a good European champion

  • I love how cocky RVD is. Always has the swagger of a bad guy.

  • @jdrhjr He was a bad guy here.

  • @vandamwtc

Yeah, I realize that, but my point is even if he's playing a face, his personality never changes. He's always really arrogant and conceited.

  • so why did it take them till 2001 to sign him...can anyone answer that????

  • @Raad187KO he was loyal to Heyman and to performing for the ECW fans. Simple as that. Perhaps way too loyal cause he would have made a shitload more money working in the WWF at the time but as ridiculous as this may sound he probably would never have gotten past mid card status in the WWF at this period no matter how evident his obvious fluency and skills were at the time. He still has it to a degree but he has obviously slowed down dramatically. He was in his 20's here. He is now over 40.

  • @johnmclane101 cool

  • The Whole Fucking Show!

  • who knew jeff and rvd would soon be in tna together, and this time rvd is old and dried out, and jeff hardy is stronger and better than rvd will even get again

  • RVD & Jeff go way back, two great rivalaries

  • RVD is a shell of his former self, watching this makes me sad.

  • RVD has slowed down a bit but he's still awesome.

  • jon bon jovi wannabe xD

  • I still have this match on tape.....RVD was so awesome back then! The pose after the Split Legged Moonsault was HILARIOUS!

  • hat guy from the ecw arena

  • nice one king!!

  • the gold old days, before the pot.

  • @sheamus316 RVD smoked pot even back then lol. That's got nothng to do with RVD's current in ring performances. The fact he obviously can't be bothered with TNA any more combined with his age are more factors.

  • @sheamus316 RVD was called RVD 420 in ECW before he came to WWF.

  • I miss heal King!

  • @fcrwarmy now all we got is heel Cole :(

  • rvd was 26 doing this

  • RVD vs Shawn Michaels would have been a dream match at this time

  • who woulda have known that RVD and that kid who everyone thought was a jobber (hardy) would have so many epic matches over the next 15 years

  • A future awesome match.

  • Jerry changed a lot these past few years...

  • @ExistenceProduction ik right calling jeff bon jovi lol now calling him an extreme enigma

  • RVD

Whole F'n Show then... still the whole F'n Show today

  • you can't make rvd a heel you just can't lol

  • 3:43 star ship pain

  • @wtwwrestling79 Split Legged Moonsault

  • @716Beatz i dont wanna be a nerd

  • @wtwwrestling79 lol aint a nerd. just stating moves

  • RVD once kicked a mule in the face, the mule then decided to adopt the kick as his defense mechanism.

  • is that jeff hardy

  • @ortonsucksfan yep :)

  • Love how they big up WWE(F) here but now these two guys only became huge superstars once they got to TNA.

  • @NegativeNumpty RVD was a 1-time ECW and WWE champion in WWE, but only a 1-time TNA champion in TNA. Hardy was a 1-time WWE and 2-time World Heavyweight champion in WWE, but he is only a 2-time TNA champ in TNA. imo, hardy and rvd did better in wwe

  • the ANTI-christ of pro wrestling back when he was a young prophet haha

  • This is the formation of the Hardy-Van Dam rivalry/partnership...

BTW this was a big fail at a heel for RVD.

  • look how young rvd is

  • it's a pg show so jerry said stinks instead of sucks 0:20

  • Comment removed

  • i love how they tried to push rvd as a heel.. look how well that turned out haha.

  • omg its job hardy

  • lol, hat guy is in the crowd

  • It is Jeff hardy

  • This is weird. He didn't stay in the WWE beyond that one match I thought, until the invasion angle came about.

I did notice though that his music was the same then as when it was during his return.

  • RVD WAS AHEAD OF HIS TIME

  • am i the only 1 who thinks taht RVD looks like Drew McIntyre in this vid

  • I met him at LAX, super laid back dude. RVD rules

  • lol john bon jovi wanna be i miss these times

  • what year was this??

  • @kevoross99 1997

  • WWE made ECW Crap old ECW was good

  • @scottsoar24 ECW made ECW crap dont have a go at WWE they tried to save their asses

  • @KingHotdog No but they gave them one Belt, As soon as a superstar got big they went to RAW or Smackdown.

  • WOW i tought he debuted in 2001

  • Isnt the split somersault hes signature and the 5 star splash hes finisher? lol

  • is that jeff hardy

  • He looks high as fuck at the 0:09 mark. RVD is the man.

  • @GaZear he was a was a bigger jobber then evan bourne back then

  • always thot rvd was a beast but damn thats a debut holy shit!! rvd is my favorite wrestler and always will be

  • high voice?

  • pause at 4:00

    xDDD

  • that's jeff hardy!!!!???

  • RVD before the drugs, as you can tell by his voice

  • @GH3wkk RVD was in "High Times" magazine quite a few times during this period.

  • RVD has Ying Yang nipples in that attire.

  • Who would have fought back then that jobber would win the WWE championship (taking about jeff)

  • @99455172 yes. wwf and ecw had a talent sharing agreement then, and they would rip each other on eachother's shows while they shared the talent. good times...

  • For some reasons I never could imagine how ROB VAN DAM and ECW went along together...I meanm he is SO NOT ECW!

  • WAIT A MINUTE.... THEY ACTUALLY WERE MOCKING ECW BACK IN THE DAY??

  • Jeff Hardy > Jon Bon Jovi

  • is that jeff.

  • @martwon102 , yup pre team-extreme jobber jeff hardy

  • RVD had that swag pin at the end!

  • ....Fucking hell. Rob looks SO young! O.o

  • @Trunks4545 this was 1996, but RVD went back to ECW after a while.

  • @Macikro ..Ok.

  • Heel King is great

  • 1:48 he stole kharma's finisher haha

  • That's the first time I've seen RVD do the Five-Star Frog Splash without squirming afterwards

  • @Dudeinator6599 That is how it should of always been done.

  • double feature!!!!!!!

  • awesome quality video

  • Hardy was a jobber?

  • @DanteSitwell the hardys were jobbers for YEARS from 1994-1999

  • kharma finisher 1:50

  • the original jeff hardy vs rvd

  • Huh. So did the frog splash become his finish after this, or did they want him to use something else as his finish in WWF?

  • isn't it strange how rvd says in this video that ecw is a low budgeted, very low talented show, yet he ends up wresting for ecw...

  • @YusufK10 He was already in ECW it was part of an angle where him and Sabu represented the WWF in ECW.

  • @YusufK10 He was already in ECW at this point. It was during the WWF/ECW cross promotion.

  • what was the theme he used at the actual show back then - this was wwe-edited to have one of a kind after the pinfall

  • yup thats jeff hardy jr calls him jeff during the opening moments of the match

  • RVD = Gay porn star

  • LOL RVD has been hitting the hgh since then.

  • wait that jeff?

  • @koheyoh yep!

  • whos the guy in red

  • @koheyoh it looks like jeff hardy

  • its funny how these 2 ended up being world champs in wwe AND fought many times for theTNA world title

  • i remeber this im like WTF is this?? whos this clown with Lawler....this before we all had internet.....then i discovered ECfuckinW!

  • Wait, that's Jeff Hardy? I thought that was Essa Rios XD

  • it must have killed RVD to say that about ECW

  • @razza119 it was all a work. Lawler was doing a lot of cross-promotion

  • Awe sad that Jeff was such a jobber back then, no one wouldve guessed that Jeff would eclipse everyones star.

  • I love how hat guy was the unofficial mascot of ECW

  • God I had no idea Jeff Hardy was such a jobber, who knew he would be future world champion!? I bet one one at this point really gave him a hope in hell.

  • Van Dam looked like a pornstar back then.

  • Who would have thought this skinny young jobber Jeff Hardy would go onto become WWE champion and one of the biggest names in the industry.

    WCWnWo .com

  • wow..talk about a RARE video

  • i wonder what type of drugs Hardy had in his system on that night?

  • he sounds a whole lot different

  • Jeff talks about this in the Hardyz book. Apparently RVD was a dick and just couldn't wait to go over, but that's what happens when you're working jobs.

  • WWE needs to get back to the old skool - too much emphasis on segments and entertainment, not enough wrestling,

  • Matt Hardy was a doormat.

  • so thats where the name mr.monday night came from.

  • @danteras23 john cena, jeff hardy, rey mysterio, hulk hogan? arent overrated? RVD is a great wrestler

  • @danteras23 Yeah, he's not as talented as Cena, he can't pull off a max of 3 moves and he doesn't have a kiddy gimmick, he's a loser no doubt about it. He's wrestled for 20 years all over the world, and he didn't kiss Vince's ass in Ohio Valley Wrestling to get to WWE and become the poster boy.

  • @RawHunterX I don't enjoy Cena's wrestling or gimmick at all; but Cena draws more than RVD ever has. Blame it on booking, creative, whatever... it really doesn't matter because facts are facts. Cena draws more and will always be more well-known than RVD.

  • @HawkBasham You care about who draws more attention? The you're clearly not a Wrestling fan but a WWE fan, I didn't say that RVD can be more popular than Cena, I said that this man has made his name Wrestling not being under WWE's development only and doing whatever they wanted him to do. And a little bit of info, at ECW One Night Stand 2006, RVD really overshadowed Cena as the whole crowd was on his side and against evertthing Cena stood for, WWE's bullshit!

  • @RawHunterX Not a WWE fan in the slightest compared to many organizations, so don't assume such just because I know very BASIC tactics of how to operate a business. What you're doing is simply marking out. The point of wrestling is to draw a crowd and draw an audience to make money so you can further promote your company. I'm not saying RVD is incapable of doing that, I'm just saying that John Cena does it better. Besides, plenty of people make a name for themselves outside of WWE developmental

  • @HawkBasham Cena has done it because of the huge marketing machine behind him.

  • @HawkBasham Cena sucks. He only does "better" because most of his fans are kids, women, and morons. That's it. I guarantee you if I book Cena and Van Dam in a place that's not WWE related, like say, an Indy show, John Cena would get booed out of the building.

  • @IR305 Who's making more money? Who's drawing out more places? Who's attracting more attention to their brand? Who's making a name for themselves worldwide? The point of wrestling is to do these things. Stop being such a mark and look at the statistics. I'm not a fan of Cena either but you need to realize that Cena is more successful than RVD. It doesn't matter who is booed or cheered, it matters who does their job best. He gets the job done while RVD is just... there. Blame it on what you want.

  • @HawkBasham LOL, I FUCKING HATE IDIOT FANS SUCH AS YOURSELF. You base success off of Money and material possessions, jesus, DID VINCE HAVE SEX WITH YOUR MOTHER? You are greedier than him, you base how great a wrestling promotion or a wrestler is because of MONEY MONEY MONEY, just like vince. You totally disregard wrestling skill, just like vince. You totally disregard who is more entertaining, like vince.

  • @TheSnazzyX3 I like wrestling, but if you're going to watch strictly wrestling you're not going to watch WWE. WWE is a corporate entertainment company, not wrestling. Arguing about "wrestling skills" and such like that shouldn't apply to WWE. Watch something worth while if you wanna talk about wrestling skills.

Steamboat? Misawa? Thesz? Dory Funk Jr.? Rikidozan? Bruiser Brody? Kawada?
