  • what a piece of crap

  • LMAO you would NOT take an SA80 over an M16/M4 hahaha

  • how the hell can anyone who hasnt used it say its shit, it easy as fuck to clean, its lite and easty to handle and the only thing inacurute about this rifle is the stupid fucker who cant shoot.....and the SUSAT is a beast and i wish the didnt replace mine withe the fucking ACOG, but the bottom line it il take a SA80 or any bullput rifle any over a m16 or a m4

  • Hi, Can anybody tell me what SUSAT stands for?

Is it Sight UNIT Small Arms Trilux

    or

    Sight UNIVERSAL Small Arms Trilux?

    THNX

  • @elliotnickells2010 Sight Unit Small Arms Trilux

  • The SA-80: Designed by the Incompetent; Issued by the Uncaring; Carried by the Unfortunate.

  • That gas part right under the foresight, is anyone scared shit less when they take it out one time i thought i actually got it stuck!!

  • Still bad drills

  • He didn't forward assist!

  • @lscottishheroy The one he was shooting probably had good springs.

  • I fired this weapon but it was only single shot rounds, not fully automatic

  • As previously firing this weapon, i found it to be the best yet! Its accurate, good rate of fire and its lightweight

  • RANDY MCKNOB

  • Comment removed

  • the sight system is shit its inaccurate

  • @GeneralSchultz Lol what? It's unreliable and a cunt to clean but it's defiantly not inaccurate.

  • @Bodybuildinq he watched fps russia and thinks he knows everything

  • @trotskychu He played Black Ops and shot it a few times. As close as he's ever got.

  • @trotskychu if you weren't so retarded this was uploaded in 2007 when the fps russia video was done in the last month. Also Fps Russia is not even Russian

  • @Bodybuildinq Not unreliable at all, i only get jams if i fire a good bulk of blanks without cleaning it. Live rounds its a beaut.

  • accurate but unreliable gun.if you believe facts

  • Whats with the camera work?

  • @manwiththem9 andy mcnabs identity is still hidden...for the actions he was involved in the first gulfwar...

  • A shame the SA80 took so long to perfect.

A shame that 'Andy McNab' is a traitor to his people.

    Anti-racist is a code word for anti-White.

  • @MarkMuses how is andy mcnab a traitor to his people?

  • @MarkMuses Well, whites were pretty good at practicing racism. Ya did it to yourselves.

  • @DarthPazuzu6 but anti-racism is just a code word for anti-White so how can that be so?

  • bullpup ftw...

  • @hellrazor117 ever operated one ? Its hammering the capsules right net to your ear an it is a pain in the ass to change Shoulders because you have to change the output or else you will get the hot cartridges on the side of your Head

  • @F3LDK0CH out of all bullpup rifles i like the aug the most...a marksman rifle not a gunners rifle

  • @hellrazor117 The SA 80 is for marksman too. If you want to shoot a nice bullpup ask for a QBU88 on a shooting range

  • @F3LDK0CH did you really just recommend a Chinese gun?

  • @hellrazor117 Also : check that weird move he has to make to cock the weapon.

First you have to press the mag release botton with your left hand and then you have to cross your arms to cock it. i dont know what the technics thought when they decided for that design

  • the only thing I don't like about the SA80 is that you can only fire it from the right side

  • @KJT922010T Yeah, otherwise you get punched repeatedly in the jaw with a piece of metal.

  • bring back the SLR !! 7.62 over 5.56 anyday !

  • @simulationguy121 I apologize I forgot this is pretty much a British video not an American.

  • bottle of coke, works awesome on the gas parts. good for gimpy too

  • just take it to the block and put it under the hot tap, fuck the armour

  • great rifle, sick of cleaning the fucking thing

  • @stevekent2010 Fucking carbon getting stuck in the monkey's butthole

  • 1:30 absolute lack of forward assist, tut tut

  • The difference between loife and deaf...innit?

  • You can never understand what a britishman is saying I had to turn up my speakers all the way to understand this guy !

  • @619sandiegoSD Sorry I couldnt understand you, your american.

  • @619sandiegoSD You must be actually retarded

  • The Gadget Show brought me here

  • @EugeL0 Top Gear brought me here (Because unlike the MkI, the MkII works...)

    :D

  • Funny because ive seen andy mcnabs face in full, nothing hidden. Guess thats the benefit of being in the military yourself

  • @MrNobodyGivesAFuck ..nicee..how was he? i would like to meet him one day lol

  • @MrNobodyGivesAFuck Yeh i see a lot fo SAS boys n they dont give a fuck about there ID

  • @ 0:10, the cameraman needs to do a better job at concealing his face, I can make out his eyes kinda. If I was a terrorist, I would know who he was..... Secrecy is a must!

  • I love the SA80 and the SUSAT. I used it for four years and only ever had one problem - A broken firing pin during a very long fight through in BATUS, and that was it. Brilliant rifle that for me was supremely accurate, comfortable to carry and use. If you look after it, it looks after you. At that time our 5.56 was only used by us, we could also use the US 5.56 but they could not use ours. Ours was more powerful and damaged their kit big time.

  • @mustanglead You lucky then I had to sue the MK1 Sa80

  • @Thestuka1 I remember one exploding during training lol.. Blew the gas parts to pieces. What happened to you?

  • @mustanglead Ive had the recoil rod and springs inbeed its self in a wall. and also so when in colchester I had my mag drop out on manovers.

  • tommy is no longer loved by his nation ,the sa80 is proof, hell the the Australian army untill the sa80 always always bought british, it was the sa80 that made us choose stay with the poms and the worst gun in history or buy the best.

  • @MrFattyfatfatboy Shut the fuck up, you don't know what you're talking about. I've actually used the weapon, I've stripped it down, I've operated the damn thing and it's a rugged, reliable design.

    Now fuck off, tit.

  • @ihaterobbie123 no offence but you are useless and dont know any thing about guns as you are defending this ar18 copy you dick who knows nothing , oh and andy pandy is a guy who would die of heat stroke here.

  • @MrFattyfatfatboy Oh, you're an anti-Brit Aussie cunt, that explains everything.

Yeah, sure, you're tougher than an ex-SAS serviceman, whatever you say. You can cope with the heat fine, but someone who as part of their qualification and training has to ruck it hundreds of miles through hotter areas can't.

    Further claims:

    1. It's an AR-18 system.

    2. The AR-18 is a bad design.

Yeah, sure, I'm the ignorant one.

  • @ihaterobbie123 yeah im tougher than a guy from a soft fat green country, have a look at your history from jerusalem to Amiens in the first to Tobruk and el al ,all your victorys have been comonwealth, and bear grilled is a joke, moving around the outback in the middle of the day no way is he for real, and the SA*&^%$#$80 is the biggest piece of crap no soldier should have to suffer it, we like tommie, we even have a song for him TOMMIE drives our tanks and holds our flanks and always says thanks

  • @MrFattyfatfatboy So you're basically admitting you're full of shit then? Despite the overwhelming evidence against your claims, your economy of truth, your unsupported statements that have been called out, you still persist blindly in your set beliefs.

Sorry mate, I have a strong suspicion I'm talking to a drunk, bible-thumping fucko. It would be a clear violation of my intellectual integrity to continue treating you as a sentient human and as such no amount of comments will illicit a response.

  • @ihaterobbie123 look no offence its the english SAS who hate Andy Pandy because bravo 2 zero where he lied and blamed a dead man unable to defend himself for what was andy pandys fault as found out by another english sas beret who spoke arabic and talked to all involved, the fact you want to suck his dick shows your knowledge of the sas matches your knowledge on guns because as you might note no special forces use the sa80, that said i am drunk and i like my bible like all sas you dick.

  • Bad drills!...safety catch, change lever, sights, magazine, check magazine fitted properly, make ready, forward assist. Fuck sake Andy! Supposed to be SAS!

  • @petehick true.. but in real combat.. principles do all go to hell :P wat i mean is.. in a combat if u wrry about principles.. u might as well spend ur time behind a counter...the less time worrying on a drill the more time u have to shoot and the more likely ur gonna survive.. but i do get wat u eman mate, in a calm or steady environment.. it is best to check drills, but i guess he's used to this system

  • So are these more reliable than they used to be? I heard the earlier L85 models jammed like M16A1s.

  • good weapon

  • great gun but does anybody seriously think they can see someone at 500+ metres and hit them i mean come on people its not s sniper its kinda meant to be close to medium range not long range

  • @Whitewolf7700 I would assume that people whose eyes aren't completely rotted out of their heads from watching anime all day can see stuff at half a kilometer.

  • How does it compare to an M4, or M16?

  • @killerclown789

It packs more punch than the M4/M16 and is more accurate but it is rubbish for room clearing and has some problems. Problem number one (I think) is that it can’t be fired left handed, well you can try, but you’d end up with a mouthful of red hot rounds. The other problem is that its firing mechanism is in the stock, hence it’s called a bullpup rifle but this means the rounds are being fired literally next to your ear :L

  • @Nomad71177 How does it have more stopping power than an M16 when it's chambered for the same round?

  • @ZrazorRozenstrauch its only got more stopping power than the m4, as the m4 has a 14.5 inch barrel and therefore it has lower muzzel velocity about 2900ft/s. The SA80 has a 20inch barrel giving it a higher muzzel velocity (about 3100ft/s). Thats the advantage of a bullpup design, you can have a long barrel but still have a short weopon, even though the m4 has a 5.5inch shorter barrel, its still 2 inches longer than the sa80

  • @JAllenAustralia Yeah, cause the barrel goes all the way back through the frame and the receiver is just in front of the butt.

Although bullpups have their drawbacks. Reloading while prone, for instance, is a little more complicated.

  • @ZrazorRozenstrauch yeh they're not as modular or as ergononmic, thats why most special forces go for an M4 type rifle. But for the average soldier its pretty good

  • @ZrazorRozenstrauch

I remember reading in on an internet comparison (just Google it)

I’m pretty sure it’s because it is a Bullpup style Rifle (basically it has a longer barrel)

  • i remember shooting the semi auto version of this, great fun :)

  • "A downtown strike in Basra" - Very specific Mr McNab!! What do you have against Basra?

  • @camzibar That was the British forces main Area of Operation in Iraq

  • As a yank, I'd really, REALLY love to get my hands on an L85A2.

  • @Badmusicpeoplelove Seconded.

  • well, right a wounded enemy needs help and the helping comrades cant shoot at you...if they will/can help in that situation.but maybe a few weeks later that guy is back at kill you. 7,62 had killed him...and his comrade behind him;even he´s hiding behind a tree, wall or whatever.and the military newly agree.the new rifles will have a bigger calibre. us will change to 6.5mm. and in afghanistan the M14 and HK G3 are in use again cause of the less power of 5.56mm

  • when i went though training we were always taught the 5.56 is designed to wound and maim rather than kill. as a wouded enemy solider is more of a burden than actually killing em

  • @wank0r That is a common misconception.

Comparing military FMJ between the two calibers, 5.56 is actually more lethal due to its much earlier fragmentation when compared to 7.62x51 M80 ball.

7.62x51 FMJ tends to just "plow" through the target, whereas the 5.56 begins to tumble and fragment inside the target.

  • @hydrashok556 just saying what they taught us .. i was in the Royal Navy was only trained to fire single shot.. i was also trained GPMG which is 7.62 the difference in round size are significant! hard to believe a 5.56 would do less damage lol

  • i like the SA80.its a great gun...since HK modified it in 2001.til 2001 it was not really a reliable weapon.but it has a cool design, its quite short cause of the bullpup design.a very good scope.but 5.56 is to weak.a 7.62 version would be cool.

  • When do you use full auto?

  • No tap forward assist? Shame on you, Andy!

  • if i heard right this weapon was designd so the recoil goes back into your shoulder not flying up in the air so you have more chance of keeping the sights on your target? or isit bullshit?lol

  • The Gun weights 4.49 KG Loaded, Effective range 500 Metres with a skilled soldier.

also uses 30 x 5.62mm rounds. I know this for a fact. The sight on the gun is a 4X zoom aswell. Great gun, Obsolete tosome of weopons out there which is why the british army isnt going to be using it for much longer.

  • @rezoukas1 sorry fella, but no. youve got your NATO 5.56mm and Russian 7.62mm mixed up. it uses 5.56mm :) but yeah, the SUSAT is 4 times 'zoom' and its great for shooting with :)

  • @rezoukas1 theres no such thing as a 5.62 by 30 mm round dude

  • @molethrower12 he means 30 rounds of 5.62mm ammunition, i have actually fired the sa80 it is extremely accurate and is so accurate the british army weapon scoring system had to be re-designed for this rifle

  • @molethrower12 oops i mean 5.56mm

  • @rezoukas1 its not obselete, not by a long way, look more at one of the best rifles in the world than obselete.

  • @ExplosiveKiwiWarrior AK rounds (7.62 x 51NATO)

  • @Masteroftheflys no ak rounds (7.62x39)

  • @ExplosiveKiwiWarrior I don't know any specifics, having tonsilitus at the time and worrying about my own problems, but I think its once of those, just started think about things. also, it isnt that expensive (relative) apprenently.

  • @ExplosiveKiwiWarrior An army mate of mine said all the rifles are being converted to 7.76 rounds.

  • The L85A2 is designed for close combat at 300m or less, the weapon is very accurate at these ranges. I've only used the weapon with iron sights and sight adjustments for zeroing is very easy. The only problem is the 5.56 ammunition, but i can not comment on that.

  • sa80 is dog shit

  • @roydlaroy have you ever used it in a combat situation? if no then your opinion is invalid.

  • @jackftww2 Hes like used it(or some variant of it) on a video game and could not use it properly, therefore in his eyes the gun is shit.

  • @CrushedByATank too right mate :)

  • Is this better than the M16?

  • @owner8515 way better

  • @WhoDaresWins164 Thanks !

  • @ExplosiveKiwiWarrior sa80 used to have 7.62, they changed it to 5.56 so it wouldnt kill the enemy, a wounded man takes up more resources than a dead one. but with all these nut cases in afgan, its been known to take 5 or 6 shots to take them down so theyre thinking of changing back

  • Is it better than a steyr aug?

  • Every British man without serious convictions should have the right to own one of these. We are full grown men ffs.

  • GUNS ARE FUCKING COOL!

  • Santa.... please send me one this christmas :)

  • The ones I have handled always seemed butt heavy and unbalanced, you could also jam the action just by squeezing the receiver, and I personally have seen too many blown chambers to ever want the breach right by the side of my face when firing. On the other hand, it's a very accurate weapon, and the A2 version is much more reliable thanks to HK, but given a choice I would always choose something else.

  • @WinchesterRanger How did you get a chance to fire one ? Also the rifle must be used exclusively right-handed since the ejection port and cocking handle (which reciprocates during firing) are on the right side of the receiver, making aimed fire from the left shoulder impossible. So how does a left handed person fire this weapon ?

  • @TheLloydA1- you learn.

  • all i know is that somtimes after a few hundred rounds or the rifles got dry or wet you might have to forward asist it good drills to do it enyway but if youv just oild your gat then its knot esential

  • we dont use automatic as much anymore because its not accurate the only time we would really use automatic is maybe laying down appropriate fire

  • bad drills also saftycatch change leaver sights cock weapon FORWARD ASSIST

  • WRONG its 300 meters not 400 and before you tell me i am wrong im in the British army

  • personally i think retired soldiers should be allowed to keep their firearms from their soldiering days

  • @NorthWeezy2010

Maybe but there's too much danger of the rifles being stolen and used. The regulations would have to be super strict.

  • The SA80 MK1 was a piece of shit, that's why UK troops hated it.

In the end the company Heckler & Koch owned by UK company at the time fixed all the guns problems.

Now with these problem gone it is one of the best guns on the planet.

  • Read his book....kind of funny he's showing off a rifle that he expressed discontent with as he much preferred the M16 series when he operated in Desert Storm.

  • @firebirdstu They may be better, but they would cost a shit load more to buy for 400,000 soldiers plus

  • this piece of shit should be scrapped!

  • @afreshstartedl Please explain why this quite frankly, excellent rifle should be scrapped.

  • @SgtShnackendale so far its cost millions in upgrades, is still hated by most of the people using it, and is plagued by technical problems even still to this day. Mag's falling out, jamming, fouling of internals etc, the list grows, talk to any squaddie and most will tell you of how they ditest this rifle.

  • @afreshstartedl This is crap

The SA80 was a bit naff as you say but it had an internal redesign by H&K and is now SA80 A2 an exellent weapon

  • @MrSpencerfoxwell although it still cant be fired in the left hand postion, unless you want a face full of hot ejected shell casings! the SAS tend to use H&K weapons or the M-16 with the 203 underslung grenade launcher. all weapons seem to be crap at the beggining, the M-16 was first reffered to as the Mattel 16 because of its 'plastic' feel, however once it was upgraded it soon became the sweet 16! maybe one day the SA80 will become a great weapon, but at a high price of redesign and upgrades.

  • @afreshstartedl, the sas use the c7, they dont use american shite.

  • @britishbulldog2008 youve obviously not read, Bravo Two Zero by McNab, or The One That Got Away by Chris Ryan, if you had, you would know that they often use the M-16, the 203, and a selection of H&K weapons.

  • @afreshstartedl, the used the m-16 with the m203 in the first gulf war and it's a load of shite as for the H&K well they are going to use them they are German and of high quality and at the time of the first gulf war the British owned H&K, if you've got a hard on for american weapons maybe you should look into their problems.

For example the m4 has one of the worst jamming/reliability records going, it makes the l85 look great in comparison, the sas don't use the l85 coz it's not ambidextrous.

  • @britishbulldog2008 the SA80 ISNT ABIDEXTROUS EITHER! you my friend need to do more reasearch!

    from the H&K website itself:

''The company also provides logistical support and training. It sells its products to some 400 dealers nationwide. Its guns are favored by British police marksmen and the SAS (the British Army's Special Air Service).''

  • @afreshstartedl they used the m16 in the late 80s and early 90s, after that they switched to the canadian c8 coz its so much more reliable.

  • Very interesting comments posted. One can support the SA80, just like people supported the M16,...untill it's problems showed up under combat conditions. Those concerned with designing and developing the SA80 have absolutely no excuse for the p.o.s. that they manufactured. A Bull-Pup design isn't re-inventing the wheel! If a 1917-18 Vickers machine gun, in operational conditions can continuously fire in excess of 250,000 rounds with no mechanical stoppages, Is there a lesson to be learned?

  • @Cronos2103

Somalia, children f''k about with weapons, and there they use aks that weigh a ton. Put one of these in his hand an you WILL see a difference,,,,

  • Did Andy's eyes get gouged out? He could have worn tinted goggles if they think that hiding the eyes some how hides identity.

  • Give me an SLR and a GIMPY any day these SA80s might have a good rate of fire but the old weapons are still the best. theSA80 looks like a toy.

  • Good assault rifle

  • It's not the weapon it's the person using it that makes the difference the same with all weapons of all sort

  • @cronus2103 come on man, u dont still believe in that do u? its true but only to a certain point!

  • @cronus2103

You seem to have missed a basic point in your summation. It very much is a case of having a good weapon. Why do you think the AK-47 and all variants since are so popular? All it takes is pointing and squeezing the trigger. For most conflict's it doesn't have to be a "nail-driver". Just able to lay down firepower with reliability. The SA80 series will have a hard job living down it's original comebacks.H&K resolved some issues, but faulty design will lead to operational problems.

  • SA80 is a great gun. My personal favorite modern assult rifle

  • What happened to the version with a RCS on the end of the rifle? and the L22A1 carbine version..

  • much prefer the 1941 hek an koch so do most black ops

  • I still prefer the SLR 7.62 - my fav

  • i remember getting trained on the ensign sa80,it took longer to learn about the sling than the rifle!

  • Andy McNabb is so tough that he got his face paint within 10 seconds of playing Black Ops online.

  • @xxNiGHtMaReZxxx

    i love this guy

    he's all like

    pow

    better than your shitty m16

    ooh lowblow

    iuse the sa80

    you ever in?

    doubt it.

    poww.

  • it would be an HONOUR to meet this man....

  • Doesn't matter how you use the rifle....

As long as you kick arse with it.

  • this weapon is so accurate the british army had to redesign the marksman ship course

  • he forgot to forward assist...

  • @JoeyMacaroniPenguin doesnt matter if you pull it back hard enough

  • He didn't forward assist.

  • @Ultimateup he pulled the working parts back enough.... did it fire? yes, so shut your mouth you cadet faggot

  • @simonking195 I'm not a cadet, and I never said that it didn't fire. All I'm saying is that the Standard Operating Procedure of the British Armed forces is to forward assist, he didn't. So fuck off.

  • @Ultimateup yeh but did it fire? yes lol so you fuck off.

  • @simonking195 I never said it didn't fire, what i'm saying, if you'll fucking listen is that the SOP of the British army is to forward assist, you don't even have to with the A2 model because the chances of the working parts not being pushed forward enough are tiny, all i am fucking saying, is that he didn't, you fucking prick.

  • Wow, it's legal for the military to have firearms in the UK? You wouldn't expect that

  • @Goatoftheforest hahaaha

  • @Goatoftheforest To be honest it is the millitry...

  • @Goatoftheforest most West European nations do not allow ownership of pistols and hunting guns and licenses are hard to get...

  • @Goatoftheforest u must like mens cock

  • Comment removed

  • @Goatoftheforest but this still dosnt take away from the Fact that u love mens cock

  • @Goatoftheforest

Well, you would kind of expect them to seeing how they are ONE OF the greatest armies in the world. Also they are THE most organised army in the world

  • @Goatoftheforest as long as its on a range, supervised by a higher ranking officer. It is perfectly legal. As it is effectively training for the forces.

  • @Goatoftheforest yeah, we have uniforms and everything
