It is degrading and offensive to every truly gay person to be equated with a homosexual. I agree with you 100% but I also add this;

I do not use the word gay or lesbian or even homosexual to define someone with those tendencies. We are all, in fine, children of our maker and as human beings, we fall subject to various behaviors.

I wouldn't sooner call someone a "Drunk" or a "Smoker" if I felt it would hurt their feelings but homosexuals would prefer that we do. I do not consider gay a "noun" or a "title."

They behave in a homosexual manner making this practice a VERB.

It will be a Supreme Court decision which decides this, NOT voting. And, it's as it should be. When interracial marriage bans were overturned 73 percent of Americans were against interracial marriage and 41 states had bans on it in one form or another. History is on OUR side, which is that of EQUALITY!

Denying gay Americans the right to marry is a kind of fascism, a form of oppression by which individuals blinded by ideology and fear push their repressive agenda onto our otherwise sound political system and demand that the system bend its principles to accommodate their own ignorance. The premise of this video (that a vote on Question 1 somehow affected what students will be taught at school) is absurd. Schools teach history, and thanks to the folks who put Question 1 on the ballot, not only will the subject of gay marriage be taught more in schools (as part of legal history), but it will soon be taught as one of the last acts of bigotry used unconstitutionally by a tyrannical majority against a defenseless minority. Gays will soon get their own version of Loving v. Virginia.

You need to study the issues on what is happening in schools. In addition Loving V. VA had nothing to do with gay marriage. It has do to with traditional marriage. Same sex marriage is and will never be a civil right issue and it is not about equality either.

I have studied this issue closely. Also, I'm a man and a family law attorney. My husband (also a man) is a school teacher. So I know much about the law and about what is happening in schools.

It is not gay marriage that is sexist but the restriction of marriage to opposite-sex spouses that is sexist. The latter is sexist because it excludes certain spouses on the basis of sex. The latter is also selfish because it denies equal rights based only on the religious point of view of a bare majority.

if you Go to Wikipedia and type in Baker v. Nelson, The case will show you that the same court in Loving v Virginia not only distinguished same sex marriage from interracial marriage, but established it as a right that does not exist under the constitution and never did.

so the 14th amendment does not confer a RIGHT to gay marriage anymore than it does for polygamy
