Try to watch Miss Earth with tag ME 2007/1 and so on. It is very impressive because the pageant is more global in sense encompassing global languages in their opening, and theme is consistent from beginning to end. I start to respect a beauty queen who represent and work with the cause that is affecting me even in her little way.
I from the USA and very avid fan of all beauty contest. I am beginning to become bored of this passion as I found that there is nothing new, Miss Universe and Miss World are becoming so commercialized;
But I came across with the Miss Earth, it is not probably popular yet, but I feel that the beauty queens arising from this beauty for a cause are much more heralded as representative of their missions which is environmental.
i'd rather prefer miss earth and miss international than miss universe and miss world. MU and MW is such a joke! even if ME and MI is low budgeted, but they choose a very deserving winner. no wonder if new pageants like miss tourism queen international will take over MU and MW. miss earth is still the best!

I agree, this is the worst beauty pageant. And this was fraud, Miss China crowned Miss World 2007 in China! Julia Morley fixed it for sure with the organisers and did you hear the next year's venue-Ukraine. Why in the whole world didn't Julia Morley think of any other country?
you also seems to have forgetten that in 2001 Puerto Rico won Miss Universe in Puerto RIco and in the process also won Miss Photogenic and Best in Swimsuit with 2 Puerto Ricans (Dayanarra Torres and Marc Anthony then married) as judges. That is much much wordt especially there were at leats 2 girls who should've won Miss Universe 2001: Greece and Venezuela.
