  • Well.... Chavez was in the grey-area after the bout with Taylor but ppl still disputed over whether Chavez got legitimacy in his undefeated record at that point.

But not to worry, folks! Remember... Does "Pernell Whitaker" ring any bells for anybody? Yeah, that pretty much cemented bull-shit-tocracy going on with boxing-Chavez at that point and gave fans the much-needed fuel over whether Chavez had some bullshit wins in his career.

  • he should've knocked that ref out..bullshit

  • dam..that boy had some serious hand speed

  • This was one of the Top 5 Greatest fights of all times.

CHavez did his thing now we have to put up with his Tupid Son who is the Biggest Fraud in Sports since Anna Kornikova.

  • great fighter such a shame. he deserved better

  • YO HONESTLY IF I WAS TAYLOR I WOULDA STUCK THAT REF DEAD IN THE FACE. FOR REAL.

  • I cant actually see another prime fighter beating Meldrick Taylor prime..... If he had a better defence he literally would of beeen untouchable and accused of doing drugs..... GOD SPEED!!

  • I have never forgiven Richard Steele for that call. The absolute worst call in the history of the world, PERIOD.

  • @rocket5557

Hey if you remember, taylor was receiving a beating between 8,9 and 10th round, steeele should stop the fight during those rounds, you see how taylor is living actually, maybe he had the posibility of save his healt, the proof of that is ruring the rematch...please , thing before speak.

  • @wolfenix Meldrick won the fight, regardless of what happened in the latter rounds. JCC was the best pound for pound fighter of the time and one of the greatest ever and Meldrick beat him like no one ever had. Richard Steele stole that victory from him. That fight took a lot out of Meldrick, but it didn't single-handedly cause his health issues. Meldrick fought way past his prime and took way too much punishment late in his career. Things would have been different if he would have won.

  • @rocket5557

OK, he was wining the fight, but the rules says if the fighter don´t respond to the referi arter a knockdown this one can take the desition to stop the fight, and steele took that desition because taylor didn´t respond to him, I know because I was an amateur and I know the rules in and out of the ring...

  • @wolfenix Your right but in the Pro's that red light is supposed to fuel the Ref's decision. The red light means the last 10 seconds of the fight. If Steele would've realized that then he would've allowed the fight to go on knowing that Taylor woulda won on the cards easy. Terrible call.

  • asi es....cualquiera de estos dos ahi como estanban en sus mero tiempo...le ganan al pacman

  • For me till his day Taylors hand speed is unmatched. You could say Roy Jones, Pacquiao, Camacho, Khan, Judah, Mosley, Leonard the list goes on but in my opinion none of them has faster hands than Meldrick Taylor and if you can show me a fighter with faster hands please send me a link.

  • Quise decir BUEN VIDEO, GREAT VIDEO TAYLOT UNO DE LOS MEJORES DE LA DECADA THE BEST IN THIS FIGHT

  • Grear Video

  • crazy hand speed.

  • EXCELLENT video....whoever edited this one, you did a great job capturing the craziness of this match. I've been a boxing fan all of my life and there are several fights that will go down in recent history as some of the best (or most memorable) of recent time. First off, Superfights 1,2&3. Today's society has no idea what it meant when you matched up Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Hagler, vs. Hearns and so on and so forth..the Duran fights..Tyson won a bunch of fans with his dominatin...(out of room)

  • @ericcasas1974 thanks alot =)

  • chavez iva a perder esa pelea pero se ve k meldrick no responde que podia hacer el refere si no segui indicasiones ni nada.... meldrick era super rapidoo pienso que chavez al igual que meldirck vencerian a pacquiao en este momento...

  • Fastest hands Eveeer!

  • @TanGLeng Taylor was badass

  • thank you for this vid, been waiting for a highlight of this great champ!

  • @maxopixa1 no problem man, just glad you liked it.

  • got whooped by chavez tho twice hahahaa

  • @bluekr2n referee decision in the first fight was a joke! It wasen't the smartest move for Meldrick to trade with Chavez like this, but he showed soo much heart

  • @TanGLeng So what he traded with everyone get over it

  • @bluekr2n Chavez got wooped by Delahoya twice hahaha.

  • @FeziB thats was past his prime chavez didi it durin his prime hahaha dumbass

  • @bluekr2n In that case the referee robbed Taylor of the decision dumbass. Shitty Chavez then got wooped by Pernell Whitaker aswell haha.

  • @FeziB it was a draw and past his prime already he was heavy into coke by then and hes still ranked higher than both meldtick tayor and pernell whitaker in top boxers of all time

  • @bluekr2n in what universe would chavez be ahead of pernell and meldrick, both were robbed in fights with chavez, and pernell was further out of his prime then chavez by then. chavez is number 1 for greatest punching bag ever in the history of boxing, hes probly being fed pea's with a sling shot right now

  • @haloprime44 haha its funny cuz hes going to the boxing hall of fame went 11 years undefeated as champion fought at welter weight with both and hes a light weight kod taylor twice u can get robbed from a ko and pernell can have that fight he was past his prime plus chavez had good deffense meldrick is the one whos being fed peas chavez left him retarded lol have a nice day learn more about boxing

  • @bluekr2n chavez belongs in the hall of fame too, but in no way is he ahead of meldrick and pernel witaker p4p, he never ko'ed meldrick in the first fight, that was bullshit and you know it, in thier second fight meldrick was WAY out of his prime, chavez had good defense? if by that you mean hes good at catching punches with his thick skull then your on the dot buddy. you would think that you couldnt be robbed by ko but you would be wrong, richard steele found a way...... learn more about boxing

  • @haloprime44 obviously you didn't see Taylor's face going into the 12th round...

  • @marinlille obviously you didnt see the fight, the ref counted to 6 when there was 3 seconds left so even if he tried counting to 10 he wouldnt have made it but also meldrick got up and was fine maybe dazed, i mean obviously he was dazed but not hurt and HE GOT UP. CHAMPIONS GET UP.... just because someones face is messed up going into the last round doesnt mean that they're losing the fight otherwise chavez would have lost 10 or 12 fightsbefore his fight with taylor....

  • the best ever!!!!!!
