Just remembered I had this on my favorites list, and so I watched this again just now... and still moved beyond words...!! Is there a full-length movie version of this available to purchase? Anyone know? I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I SO admire Ernest David Tsosie III and his work. 'Ahee'hee'! or in my language (Jicarilla Apache): Ihee'din!!
Love it brought tears to my eyes I see Ernie everytime he comes this way loved his skit he did on domestic violence. And Gerald is also a great guy love chatting with him love the video and the song
I have been mesmerized for some time and now believe I know why I return so often for I love your video so. Indeed I have lived and loved by the sword but only because those that cut us up and inflicted the deepest wounds taught us well ... the unlearning of having lived by the sword is indeed to heal those cuts. So sad, I have learned although wounds heal and scars may fade they never completely disappear ... and that is not always a bad thing ...
Could you please tell me the name of this song and thank you for posing this..... life has many sad lessons ..... I cry with the man although but a dream
I once had a friend... Rickshaw was his name... an amazing carver up in Rivers Inlet, BC! He touched my heart deeply...& I know many times he attempted and failed... until one day he succeeded! Living behind his wife % 5 children I believe. The culture & ways of the indigenous people has such an amazing beauty to behold. The creative spirit give us the power to overcome so much. Teach our young to reach within where it lays! Blessings... ENTICIA
Well produced and exectuted... Filled with passion and compassion!
Visit our video... I'd really appreciate your comment and rating... I sub 'all' channels that do. As I believe in interactive participation and networking... it is the essence of where the creative is ment to go!
very much seizing and sadly..that touched my heart very deeply! Nobody can know and feel like it is to must live in a Resv. only the people the must experience it again each day.I know this Video only gives a very little view on this what happen real each and every day in the resv. but i will try for myself more to realize it and do hwat i can to be a friend! The song is really awesome and sung with a great and wonderful voice.
I have no words to express how this video made me feel , Ernie please never loose it! Keep honoring your gift....Seeing you and hearing James music (my favourite song) it is a blessing...moving so moving
very movin' and really touched my heart and soul, don't know what life on the rez is like but very good job by Ernie, hope this vid gets honored, only the right thing to do! btw, this one's a fiver!
The theme song is called "To Be in Love" by James Biagody. The Album is called "Sacred Stage" James Bilagody & the Cremains. The Native credit roll song "Inner Soul" by Clan/Destine, Album "Deeply Rooted, which is awesome! Peace and thank you for your comment.
Kewl...Nicely Done! Ernie Should Get An Award For Best Male Actree! Shyeah...By The Way Im Navajo And AUSHRY Shut The Fuck Up! You Dont KNow Shit About Navajos! Its Life On The Rez! Its Not Emo!
Just wanted to say, in my previous comment (from 6 months ago when times were pretty bleek, and these videos helped get us through) that when I say "the only thing wrong with it..." that it's actually a compliment... what I'm saying is, I enjoyed it so much l'd like to get lost in a longer version. It's perfect the way it is... Hope all are doing well. As always, Upacrik... :-)
Very touching portrayal. I got confused towards the end with the story. Having two similar looking natives in it didn't help. Until the very end, I thought they were the same person. Wasn't sure if Ernie was the dad to the kid, and the woman was his lover, or daughter? The kisses on the cheek, seemed daughterly, that's why. Good job. I really enjoyed it but for the confusion.
This was interesting to see. Good job and great acting. We need more of these type of videos in Navajo, written and spoken. Our young Navajos are losing their culture slowly each day. I liked the short video...
From concept to soundtrack, acting to production, this movie is the best of it's kind I've come across... a Native American Tragedy that speaks the universal language of the cautionary tale. The only thing wrong with it? I would love a longer version of this compelling two-part parable. But that's okay, because alongside of being left with the enjoyment of this much, it gives me something to look forward to. :-) Five Stars!
That's so sad! This was beautifully done. Ernie Tsosie is very talented. 'Ahe'hee' for sharing this!
