I think of it like a glass of water. The water is made up of H and O molecules. Ok I am now at 0:59 of the video and it's already wrong. The quantum state of an atom does not collapse because a "conscious obeserver" measures it. It collapses because another particle arrives with which it interferes, like a foton. This happens whether or not a consciousnous is present to "view" the result.
I think the very first consiousness in the universe, was God. Think about it! In order for something to behave as particles instead of a wave, it must be OBSERVED. Thus, when the universe came to be, something MUST have observed it. I think this was the big bang. The measurement problem is not fear to physicist but one of the basic principles of our understanding of quantum mechanics. The main concept that they are distorting is that an intelligent entity must observe a particle for it to be localized. This is crazy. I came to the same conclusions when I was really under the influence of marijuana and addarell. I sat down in my (dark) room and start thinking for at least 3 hours. According to quantum mechanics, an atom is never in one specific place until a consciousness measures or observes it. IF WE ARE ALL MEASURING AND OBSERVING EACH OTHER, does that mean we are all causing each other to be stuck in the same reality/universe and there are no other versions of our selves? Does this mean that if the parallel universe theory were true, the theory would prove itself incorrect? If not incorrect, then impossible given the circumstances.

Ok I am now at 0:59 of the video and it's already wrong. The quantum state of an atom does not collapse because a "conscious obeserver" measures it. It collapses because another particle arrives with which it interferes, like a foton. This happens whether or not a consciousnous is present to "view" the result.

I think the very first consiousness in the universe, was God. Think about it! In order for something to behave as particles instead of a wave, it must be OBSERVED. Thus, when the universe came to be, something MUST have observed it. I think this was the big bang. This is a group that takes only parts of quantum mechanics and ignores what they want. The measurement problem is not fear to physicist but one of the basic principles of our understanding of quantum mechanics. The main concept that they are distorting is that an intelligent entity must observe a particle for it to be localized. In reality, the particles location is determined in space and time when it interacts (transfers energy) to another particle.

This is crazy. I came to the same conclusions when I was really under the influence of marijuana and addarell. I sat down in my (dark) room and start thinking for at least 3 hours. I was immobile the whole time. My mind was exploring the quantum world. it was almost like a psychedelic experience. I was obsessed with the idea of understanding the why of everything. Then it hit me, our reality is an illusion, and at the end we are only left with connections.

According to quantum mechanics, an atom is never in one specific place until a consciousness measures or observes it. IF WE ARE ALL MEASURING AND OBSERVING EACH OTHER, does that mean we are all causing each other to be stuck in the same reality/universe and there are no other versions of our selves? @DharmaxWay Quantum mechanics has nothing to do with consciousness. Yes, collapses by observation do occur in quantum physics; however, consciosuness is not needed. Any measuring device (e.g. photon detector) will do (unless there are microscopic, conscious creatures looking at an electron which is highly unlikely.)
