I'm watching and taking many notes! thanks so much! It's a marathon of Japanese lessons...I cannot wait to learn some vocab. to plug into these sentene structures
what does nori and iki indicate in your examples? Thank you for the video!! If you could reuse the whole sentence in your response it would be appreciated. thank you!
You are doing a great job there, teaching japanese. I checked out quite a couple of youtube japanese lessons and up to now found yours to be the most educating.
When you memorize verbs, please do it as "Masu form".
And also present tense & past tense also.
In the beginning, you can use English nouns for Japanese sentence as it is. Because, mostly, Japanese people know about English nouns. So, for conversational Japanese case, I recommend you memorize verb first.
Once again, a great lesson sensei! Ganbatte! Oh, and I am also learning Japanese at school. I am currently in 10th grade and in my high school, Japanese is a 4 year course so I am on year 2 of Japanese and it is much more complex, hehe. Oh, anyways, my teacher said try to avoid using "Anata". Is this true sensei?
Actually, I am gonna go over the how to drop off words in the conversation in my future lesson. Usually you can often drop off "Subject" in daily conversation as same as in English. But, once in a while, you need to say the subject so that you don't forget what the subject is.
I just started learning Japanese by myself with so called flash cards for vocabulary and I found a cool online Japanese lesson programm with which I am teaching myself!
Right now I started with "Desu" and "Deshita" and I must remember that The vowels 'i' and 'u' are weak vowels, so I mostly don't say them. And also the particles, like "wa"
Your vlog is great, keep it up! I watched all your videos and your English is getting better every video!
Excellent, thanks very much. These are really useful for me as I'm just starting, so these help to give me topics to study.
Would `nana ni' be understood as seven o'clock or is it another example of some numbers being described in different ways according to their context?
I think it was gimmeabreakman who illustrated that Japanese tend to use `shi' for four when counting up to ten, but use `yon' when counting down from ten. And they didn't notice that they were changing it - strange!

Iki masu = to go
Nori masu = to ride
ex
Watashi wa Densya(train) ni Nori masu.
I ride on a train.
Watashi wa Gakkou(School) ni Iki masu.
I do to school.
etc..
Have a good one!!

Another late question I'm afraid - but it proves that I'm watching them all!
I've finally reached the location particles in my book and it mentions that に isn't necessary in simple statements like this:
きのう、いきませんでした。 I didn't go yesterday
Would it sound OK if I left the particle in, or would it sound awkward?
きのうにいきませんでした。
I'd rather get in the habit of always using particles than dropping them at this early stage :o)
Cheers.

きのう、いきませんでした。 I didn't go yesterday
is totally collect.
When you indicate "Time" such as "きのう","きょう","あした", you do not need to say に as the particle.
