aww....i feel fuzzy and comfortable...though an stretched out on the sofa, i feel all cuddly and cute inside......oooooo...such a cosy feeling...love ur voice :)
This is a beautiful song, but it makes me sad. I used to be that little kid lying in bed with his stuffed bunny, safe and sound on an ocean of dreams. Now I'm an adult and I feel cold and afraid. What happened to me, where did I go wrong
@breeeegs When life strips us of our innocence, it is a cold realization that we can never go back to that small world of our childhood. We must instead embrace the vastness of our big beautiful world and our part in the ocean of humanity that we are all a part of. You need never be afraid, for every person you see is your brother and sister, you are never alone. The world is big, but you are never alone.
This band is simply amazing. I would love for them to come to San Francisco to play for all of us but they very rarely even play out. I have created a Facebook page to encourage them to do just that. Please search for and "LIKE" my page entitled,
Dear Innocence Mission- Please, Please TOUR. (youtube won't let me post link here).
The goal is to somehow have Karen or the band to hear of this movement and know how much we'd love for them to tour and then do it! Tell your friends.
Oh how funny - I downloaded this years ago and it said it was by emiliana torrini (apparently other people thought it was by milla jovovitch) both wrong!!!
It's one of those really popular covers where no one really remembers who did it in the first place. That said, Innocence Mission's version is very lovely.
Magnificent...One of those cover versions that leaves the original in the dust, although I'd like to thank Pennsylvania native Henry Mancini for writing it. (He must have been inspired by all those shows at the Stanley Theatre in Pittsburgh...)
Sorry, but how can you in all honesty say that this song beats Audrey Hepburn's version? I agree that it's a lovely cover, but in this case nothing can beat the original. That's what I think, anyway.
EWatsonLover, Thank you for enlightening me; I stand partially corrected!
I based the comparison on the soundtrack cut with the chorus, done in that dated early sixties style. Today I saw Audrey's rendition which is quite lovely. I still have to give the edge to Karen, but both are class acts.
The disparity between the two version is not so wide as between IM and the schmaltzy chorus version.
I love this version!! I still remember hearing them in concert for the first time when they opened for Natalie Merchant. I bought their album the next day. Karen Peris's voice is so sweet!!
the best voice i ever heard~!!!!!!!

Yeah, they're both amazing singers. I think i just like Audrey's version better because of her whole character.
