Sorry but , life was not any easier back in the 1970s. We had different problems, like the threat of gobal nuclear war. May sound funny but we all had many sleepless nights ot terror dreams about what that might be like. All our music-"Tull" , "Yes", "Pinkfloyd", "Bowie","Stones" etc etc had to be bought . No one played this type of music on the radio back then...and many times you felt like you might be the only person in your town who even knew who those guys were.

get the video " Live at Pompeii " 1972, Has great interviews, music and unique Pink Floyed quality that only Floyed has mastered. Don't mind getting the directors cut, Mon. night quarterbacking with no addition to the flow, interrupting.

"A pillow of winds" always makes me feel like a monkey in a cage, sitting on a Land Rover's roof as it crosses the serengeti at dusk. "Fearless" is when i brake out of my monkey cage and stare at the oppressive driver until he decides to jump out the window and i perform a grand theft auto and journey to the coast where i can the rest of my chimp ass life as a commercial fisherman. Thanks Ibrione for letting Pink Floyd play me a mental motion picture.

The "jam" that constitutes the second part of "Echoes" is accompanied by a cheesy melotron organ (reminiscent of the 60's) David Gilmour on the electric guitar shines as a master of the instrument.The bass line is incredibly well orchestrated. Overall one of the best jam sessions ever performed.

San Tropez is the jewel here. The jazzy guitar chords and percussion offer a synchopated rhythm that gives momentum to the opus.It is not rock it is more a mixture of jazz and easy listening. The piano enters triumphally and finishes with a magnificent solo.The lyrics are performed in a dreamy fashion like the rest of the album you would swear they were stoned when they recorded this. Great music!!!
