Great video, many thanks. I've been thinking about getting into digital modes and your video was very helpful - it definitely spurred interest into a new area for me. Would you mind talking a bit about how you connected the radio to the computer?
Glad to see you used Digital User Upper. A friend used the PSK setting during FD 2 years ago and couldn't work anyone. A little known fact is in PSK mode the RX/TX are 10 hz difference. On a signal that is 31 hz in bandwidth it makes a huge difference. Nice video! 73
Hello there, i just got myself a Yaesu ft-817, and im planning to get into some digital modes...
I mainly got it so that i can be a bit mobile and let dad use his Kenwood TS-940 for himself...

@danbrewgmail I just made a video on how I cabled my FT817 to the SignaLink, tuner and laptop. I hope it is helpful. 73, N7JFP

What type of antenna rig are you using with your 817?

@ki6uve I used an Off Center Fed Dipole for receiving the PSK31 signals. A MFJ dummy load was used for transmitting. 73, N7JFP
