awesome vid, thanks for posting. I'm actually taking a documentary course right now and i got the privilege to make a documentary on bucky (including visiting his house and interviewing him) and let me tell ya - he's an amazing guy... and an amazing guitarist
They screwed up my account so I had to add a flat9 to my handle & it took forever for them to send me an email with my new password. Anyway, I'm back, & you're right! Did I really call you numbnuts? Boy, I must have been having a bad day. Please accept my apololgies.Too bad the sound is so bad on this vid; I really think they'd sound good together. Bucky's been a chord specialist for yrs. & Howard's making quite a name for himself.
Now my eyes might be deceiving me, but I count 7 strings on each guitar. Also, as far as I know, both of these fine players use 7 String Instruments and I did read that BP introoduced HA to 7 String guitars. 2 x 7 was 14 when I was at school. Or is it different in the USA? Believe me my friend, my nuts are NOT numb and I'm almost as old as Bucky.
At around 40 secs in I count 7 machine-heads on each guitar. That makes 14 strings, unless the extra machine-head is there for decoration. And I am a numbnuts? Sheeshhh!
Fantastic playing from two of the greatest guitar players on the planet, the rhythm's that Bucky creates are Awesome in the true sense of the word, Thank you so much for sharing

Buried harmonies... Bucky seems to think he's George Formby with a 'uke'! Pretty fast tho

Don't know what happened to the comment by minor7b5, but it's vanished. So maybe he called me a numbnuts before he had a recount on the strings? Lol!

Bucky Pizzarelli is the greatest chord specialist ever. Putting him together with Howard Alden was pure genius. This is great stuff.
