Sulfur hexaflouride is a compund of sulfur and fluorine , which are highly reactive and corrosive substances on their own, well fluorine is. The compund however is chemically inert and non toxic, but inhaling it can be dangerous, since it blocks the lungs thus preventing oxygen exchange.
