  • Uh Sulfur Hexaflouride is 6x times heavier than air. So this is bull..

  • omg people are so stupid never try this its 5 times heavier than air if u in hale alot ur lungs could fail because of the weight

  • @beastinallday1 dude,6 liter of air, about the total ammount of air you can inhale, weighs about 6-7 grams, the same ammount of xenon would weight 35 grams, the guy in the video inhaled maybe 1 liter at best,so that would mean roughly 5 grams of xenon

    do your homework next time

  • Nice technology weird that you are using Dell computers than !

  • slow motion

  • is that safe?

  • LOL most of that if not all was put on. haha lame

  • if id known you could do this in a lab, i'd have pursued my doctorate!

  • did he just say he was doctor bin laden wtf lmao

  • i like it b4 he takes it "goes breathing deeply maybe "thinking this is it" or some thing" haha

  • this is gay.... it turns you to a homo

  • Funny how he can do this, since xenon works as an anesthetic :P

  • way to go.... you have to be smarter than the bottle.

  • is sulfur hexaflouride better than xenon gas

  • @zayx10 Sulfur Hexaflouride is heavier then xenon (and cheaper), but it sounds too deep.

  • @gamer3928 ohh so which do you perfer

  • How did i get here :o

  • is that birdsex in the background?

  • he works for NASA and there goes your tax dollars to buy that one of the most expensive gas to entertain this douche dr dick

  • @chernobila Shut up asshole.

  • xenon is so rare and expensive i hate these jerks for being able to do this. they cant even memorize kids songs.

  • @amerthil He said in another video that the balloon he had was $4 of xenon gas. He took 2 deep breaths to take in all the gas this is far less. Must only be a buck or two of gas

  • sulfur hexafluoride will make you voice a heck of a lot more deeper dude

  • it sounds funnier if you breathe sulphur hexafluoride

  • xenon gas weres off fast and dosent work that well in low preportions, unlike Sulfur Hexafluoride and it lasts a long time but hard to get out XD

  • Does Dr. Chang Diaz know you guys are doing this? He's trying hard to get this company that first starship engine contract.... and your all doing the MENSA equivalent of Jack Ass? I want a job there?

  • lol pirates of penzance

  • It sounds like you have incoming enemy fighters on radar in the background. In the future you should probably pause the camera and deal with that first.

  • Scotty McCreery. xD

  • Would it be more effective if he were upside down?

  • @tehn00bpwn3r no because it sinks, if he were upside down, it would sink back out

  • are the saftey glasses realy nessacery?

  • @HolyCrippleItsACrap

Hes working in a plasma rocket laboratory, I don't think the glasses are for the xenon, but the work he's about to go back to after this 'break'

  • @mdma4life I'm guessing i's just one of those, "it's good practice to always wear eye protection (etc) in the lab" things. Perhaps more so if others are going to watch your video and note your safety practices.

  • sulfur hexaflouride make it larger

  • Aaaannddddd... It's gone.

  • xenon is a non-radioactive inert gas, its basically harmless. the only way for xenon to affect someone is that the concentration is so high you displace most all the oxygen (aka you suffocate)

  • if Justin Bieber had some of that, he will sound like a 12 year old girl, not like a 2 year old.

  • I thought Xenon was supposed to be deadly... I'm glad Isaac Asimov isn't around to see this. This may not be the scientific 'jack-assery' some people would accuse this researcher of doing?

  • @granddad2002 Xenon is a noble gas and basically has no effects on the body whatsoever... it could only harm you if you inhale so much that there is no oxygen as a result.

  • Comment removed

  • @johanhallgren lol, really? You got a source for that? It is an inert gas so I see no possible way it could have those effects.

  • @DarkSunGod I mean Xenon

  • Sounds like worf

  • And this is where all of our taxes lead into...

  • 1:14 his voice goes from deep to high thats how you know this is fake

  • @dylanmorrison lol your dumb

  • @dylanmorrison you r really dumb hahaha

  • @dylanmorrison I'm so glad I'm not as stupid as you

  • On his second inhalation, that low note he hits is in my normal range... I gotta try this.

  • @goddamnbouy ... this guy may be wearing gloves to touch something he's going to inhale but I'm sure it doesn't take a Ph.D. to spell the correct form of "you're". Way to go!!

  • @wlanning He might not want to put the skins oils on the bottle, and may be a procedure at a place like NASA.

  • @wlanning shut up. its youtube, not a spelling bee

  • @wlanning Can I get a ZING!

  • he should have singed nobody has a soul like me

  • Just the amount you breathed in probably cost over $1000

  • Sing baby!

  • So this is what real engineers do in their off time... xD :P I shouldn't talk; I'll probably be doing the same things myself!

    -IMP ;) :)

  • Sing Ole Man River.

  • I'm curious to know what would happen if you made a 'vocal speedball' by inhaling a mixture of both xenon and helium.

  • @spicyvOHMitsnack It would go really high then normal then really low because the helium is lightest so it is at the top of the lungs, then the air, then the xenon.

  • try to make the lowest voice you can + use XENON!

  • Just wait till his insides start glowing! lol

  • super fake!!!

  • @masharma45 Yeah, just like how breathing Helium is fake...... Learn the facts before you type rubbish, kid

  • give some of that xenon gas to Justin Bieber lol

  • I wonder, how would Peter Steele would sound like if he would breathe in some xenon... and, of course if he would be alive by now. I think it would not sound at all - he would go into infrasounds :-)

  • Sulfur Hexafluoride is six times heavier than air. Xenon is only about four times heavier.

  • What's denser? Sulfur Hexafluoride or Xenon? {If they are different gases }

  • @Coolpachito Sulfur hexafluoride is denser. And it is a different gas. Xenon is a chemical Element and a noble gas which means that it does not react with other gases. Sulfur hexaflouride is a compund of sulfur and fluorine , which are highly reactive and corrosive substances on their own, well fluorine is. The compund however is chemically inert and non toxic, but inhaling it can be dangerous, since it blocks the lungs thus preventing oxygen exchange.

  • @dudewhosaysarrh Actually that asphixiation danger is present with any "inert" gas, from helium and nitrogen to xenon and SF6.

By the way, which gas is more expensive? Xe or SF6?

  • @dudewhosaysarrh WOW! Awesome! Thanks for the mega info!!! =D

  • were do you get xenon

  • @Spitfire608 it's super expensive lol, a balloon filled with it costs 40 pounds >_>

  • @QwertySkill What a crock....

  • Sulphur HexaFluoride is heavier ;)

  • @TheLordZixx My dick is heavier! So, wanna inhale it?

  • @ShivsyMe well... nah I'm good thanks

  • @TheLordZixx I thought so, too.

  • TROOOLOLLLOOOOO LOLOLOLOOOOO lol reminded me of that

  • give this to Justin Bieber!!!!!!!

  • expensive!

  • Whoa you're addicted to the stuff, addiction is a disease inhaling is bad mmkay

  • @shawn205504 And you're a faggot.

  • whoa!!! just like half life 2 lab !

  • Sounds like something is supercooled in the background. Is this right ?

  • MRI / MSR, xenon gas, and rocketry. Sounds like a fun job...

  • Sing chocalate rain!

  • welllll there goes 40 dollars in xenon XD that shit is expensive as hell XD

  • I love it how he's wearing safety goggles while breathing Xe.

  • you dont do enough at a time. thats a tiny amount

  • I AM THE VERY MODEL OF A SCIENTIST SALARIAN.

  • Tungsten hexafluorid is the best! The only disadvantage of it is that you need a new lung after that!

  • It's not actually the pitch that changes but the Timbre because of the weight difference of the gas. Just pointing that little factoid out.

  • I am the very model of a Scientist Salarian.

  • I wonder what happens when someone does that high pitched scream while under its effects.

  • isn't that toxic, inhaling Xenon?

  • you already have a deep ass voice why take dat lol !

  • Appearantly it IS rocket science

  • what is the song he is singing

  • your wearing gloves to handle it but.... your about to inhale it.. hmmm

  • @goddamnbouy It comes out supercooled, he'd burn his hands, it cools in the balloon.

  • @goddamnbouy Relase of gass under preassure can significantly cool the area where the gas escapes. You don't want to get stuck to the tank and get frost damaged skin.

  • @goddamnbouy The xenon is mainly unreactive, but the container is cooled and may cause freeze burns.

  • @goddamnbouy I was thinking the same thing then I realized probably a saftey precaustion because of where he works and there are probably other elements they work with.

    lol

  • Sulfur Hexafluoride is way better

  • so this is what rocket scientist do in their spare time.

  • Comment removed

  • SF6 is way better. And cheaper. Or is it cheaper? Hmmm. I think SF6 is cheaper. Ion Propulsion does not sound very thrifty.

  • What about breathing my fart

  • @VirusWire10 you just puke when you do that,

  • how about breathing in Radon gas?

  • @Conneisseur2 lol it's radioactive would kill u

  • sulfur hexaflouride is 6x denser

  • it made him grow balls for like 2 minutes.

  • I dont wanna hear satan on this shit o.o

  • Isn't the anesthetic property of any gas associated with high lipid solubility? It's not a coincidence that N2O is both an anesthetic and useful in whipping cream - it dissolves in the fat under pressure, and when the pressure is released it comes bubbling back out.

  • sulfur hexafluride is 6 times hevier than air

  • @toxicproductions100 they dont use SF6 at rocket fuel plants.

  • Haha I always wondered if the heavier gases had that effect! Does Xenon have any smell at all?

Sounds like a a nMR spectrometer in the background.

  • What's the difference between this and sulfur hexafluoride?

  • try Tungsten hexafluoride

  • Comment removed

  • SF6 is slighter better. 6 times heavier. :D

  • This is what WORF breathes on TNG...

  • were can i get this gas frum?

  • @abcdefgjohn1

1 baloon full is worth around 50US$

  • @dunnobutwayne wrong.

  • If tay zonday breath this, i believe a human canno't hear his voice xDD

  • SF6 is better

  • DUDE if Vin Diesel inhale some of this he would sound crazy xD

  • @Molaz0 he did. theres a video of it

  • Apparently Xenon is psychoactive (general anesthetic ) did u feel any different

  • i had xenon leak into my house once... it was the funniest day of my life...

  • @zenthex1234 from what?

  • @smeghead666 durrr, the chemical plant i live next to. obvioustly.

  • @zenthex1234 oh I thought it was from a strange reaction in your intestines from where you had your head shoved so far up your ass

  • @smeghead666 1. any reaction from you're intestine could never make you shove you're head up you're ass. 2. its impossable to stick you're own head up you're own ass. AND 3. even if you were made of some kind of visco elastic liquid you're asshole is'ent big enough to fit you're head. you my friend, are an idiot...

  • @zenthex1234 what a sad strange little man you are

  • @smeghead666 im not little, im average hight 5'11. and im not strange, im just inteligant. meaning more than you... dont you have some ejaculation into the hand to be doing or something???

  • @zenthex1234 XD that's priceless "I'm just inteligant"

Back under your bridge little troll, carry on fooling yourself that your pathetic childish attitude makes you and INTELLIGENT person and gain some wittier retorts because all these pompous, arrogant idiocies you're coming up with are just embarrassing yourself. I know its hard, daddy probably hugged you farrrrr too much.

Check with that chemical plant, I think it's still leaking something.

Go play somewhere else now dumbfuck, I'm bored

  • @smeghead666 AND intelligent person? i think you're the one who need some intelligence. and if you're so board get off you're lazy ass and go take a shower.... i can smell you from here.

  • @zenthex1234 board? I spell it for you and still you get it wrong... and you're still going? Bless it, you're so determined to "win" this somehow, I feel sorry for you having that much fail in your life you need to do this, sad thing is when I leave you alone now you're going to either convince yourself of a false dillusion of righteousness or carry on going on your own.

Fuck me what a sad life you've got, toodles

  • @smeghead666 Omg, you could rag anyone. That was pretty skilled.

  • @smeghead666 you mom was right, you're pathetic...

  • @zenthex1234 zzzzz, you're still here proving my point? c'mon at least retort with something I haven't just said to you

  • science is cool

  • Sulfur Hexafluoride is way better.

  • @Scoinsoffaterocks you get high on xenon though. not that i would know

  • @Scoinsoffaterocks Except it's not an element.

  • @kitty6837

    DUH!

  • @Scoinsoffaterocks but it has a longer name so most ppl go for xenom :\ haha i love rednecks :P

  • @Scoinsoffaterocks no, just cheaper..

  • I'd like to know how much did that ammount od xenon in the baloon cost. Xenon is very, very expensive.

  • what happends if you take hileum and then xenon =O

  • @ste1nunn Ive wondered what would happen if your put the perfect amount of both helium and xenon in a balloon, could you get it to hover in place, without falling or rising?

  • @kawana87 Then the Earth will explode from the paradox you just made.

  • @kawana87 Nothing would happen.

  • @Serostern Nothing being? It would fall? It would rise? It would float in place? Explain.

  • @kawana87 We give air the density 10.

If helium is 5 and xenon is 15, and you mix them 50/50 you will end up with a density of 10.

In essence, it won't be any more interesting than a regular balloon.

  • @Serostern what it you didn't mix it 50/50, say you had slightly more helium than xenon. Exactly enough to counter the weight of the balloon.

  • @kawana87 Well, then it would float.

    But it won't be stable.

Air temperature, airstreams and such will make it go up, down, sideways.... =P

  • @ste1nunn normal voice

  • @ChronicMist

hmmm i never thoght that :)

  • @ste1nunn

    You die!

  • @ste1nunn

    The world implodes.

  • @ste1nunn i think it would be your normal voice. hehe :)

  • @ste1nunn They probably would cancel each other out?

  • @ste1nunn you will first sound high pitched and then low when the helium that is sitting on top of the xenon is used up

  • @ste1nunn What would happen if you take helium and xenon, sodium and water, liquid nitrogen and molten iron, diet coke and mentos?

  • @vmelkon

all at once or just 1 at a time... either way it goes BOOM! XD

  • @ste1nunn You swallow all at once. Can someone make a video of that? Also, can you microwave all of that? lol

  • @ste1nunn *fizz* *pop* dead

  • @ste1nunn your voice will sound like a combination of darth vader and justin bieber

  • @time2killaspider

so... you'll sound like a chipmonk with asma problems... cool :P

  • @ste1nunn

    A Justin Beiber album.

  • @Scoinsoffaterocks LOL good one!

  • @ste1nunn Your pitch doesn't change (i)

  • @eikojoosep

but u can still die :P fuse xinom with hileum and you get a poisonus gas thingymabob XD
