  • If you have steam, as shown in this video then the problem is very likely the hoses in the cappuccinatore are blocked. It's a very simple system - the pumping you hear pulls water from the water tank to the heater to make steam. The steam runs through the cappuccinatore which draws the milk up. If the path in the cappuccinatore are plugged, it will not draw milk and you see lots of steam as in this video.First try blowing the cappuccinatore parts out.

  • Our problem was the elbow and the only way we could clean it was with a round tooth pick on the large diameter hole (cut to remove the point) and a paper clip on the narrow one. This is not recommended as you may damage the parts so be careful. It will also fail if the clear rubber cap at the top of the cappuccinatore is brorken or the small hole is clogged. Always clean the cappuccinatore and it is dishwasher safe if can make sure the parts don' bounce around in the dishwasher

  • My CVA4060 is starting to manifest the same problems, not as severe as yours though.

I take it your machine is repaired by now, what was the service engineers's solution?

I think the problem is in the steam ejector (nozzle??)
