The fundamental of disciplined & professional composure on the field to represent the team & the game itself. Ladainian Tomlinson often goes against this root fundamental e.g. he over celebrates & sometimes minutely smack talks post a good play. It only helps to underscore the "me, me, me, it's all about me" that is unfortunately too prevalent in many players in the game today.

@the1calledbat dude your full of apathy. As a kid, I grew up playing tackle football on paved streets & in parks with no pads/helmets before playing in local organized leagues. Many NFL players do this sort of thing growing up. This was 10 times the roughness of rugby since American football has more authorized harder angle of attack hits than any rugby league. Helmets/pads are mandated because people died in the early years of the game; it would've been banned by the feds otherwise. Research!
