  • drunk, gun-toting pandas with Psytrance music, you sir have just earned yourself a sub

  • have you had any collage or university experience with c++ programming or have you just taught yourself?

  • Actually looks like a fun f2p game. If it was released I'd played it

  • Grand theft panda

  • Pandas with guns... oh god

  • kungfu panda

  • how can the game load map files made in 3dsmax and put objects that can move etc. on them?

  • @devilazpl The game doesn't actually load max files.

3DS Max exports all geometry in the scene to ogre format (.mesh and .materials) and then the engine load all this.

  • panda3d xD

  • give me a link for download my youtube id : midem2001

  • AK flamethrower?

  • Ohh , nice project.

Am.. Can you help me ?

I have some problems about the game engines and so on..

  • The furry dreamland.

  • and that how gts was made xD

  • kick ass game man

  • is allegro good for making 3d games like this one?

  • @XxDahamonnahxX

Allegro = more like for 2d stuff.

  • what ide is this made in

  • Hey just asking, how many lines of code did it take to make this game? I am thinking about working on a rpg game or a fps game. Which one would be better. (Ie. time to make, how much fun it would be and how much space it would take)

  • @MukiemukMC For begginers i would recomend to start with Unity or a game engine focused less on coding. Ogre is a big beast and can take a lot of time to master it.

  • Man this is really cool!! Im new to programming so i can definately respect this

  • Its like Oblivion except your mini bears with flamethrower ak's :D

  • Hey!. I youst want to know how hard is to make like that game?. Because i'll try to make some game and i'll learn C++... But now i am learning how to make website :D

    Thanks :D

  • nice game it will rock if you will make models better panda's ears...... ak-47 green? burning??

but it's so nice game nice idea =) i like it (i know it's not easy to make better models and edit)

  • lol oblivion house

  • Lol, did you use models/textures from Oblivion?

  • @thatguywithnoname I was thinking exactly the same.

  • @Almenningenorg Its right there in the annotations of the video, and yes, i've used the models of the house and furniture from Oblivion.

  • @niniomigrania I wrote the comment before I read the annotation(s).

  • @thatguywithnoname im thinkin the same thing!!!

  • Comment removed

  • CS Panda Edition

  • Most of it looks like Oblivion lol

  • Not at the table carlos

  • oblivion house model?

  • I'm pretty sure c++ and ogre 3d are free but are the rest of the programs free?

  • Imprresive, how long it took u to write this game ?

  • Cute, a panda with AK47.

  • pandas with ak47s that shoot fire....sounds like a bitching game

  • Did Michael Jackson narrate this?

  • All must fear the drunk panda controlled by a programmer with a gun!

  • that looks a lot like oblivion to me but with a pander

  • mad flame spitting pandas attack!

  • HEY!!!! What did I tell you no pets on the table

  • lmao that panda has a gun!!!!

  • OMG. I came looking for cool stuff... and I found it. Pandas with guns... nuff said.

  • Kung fu panda? xD

  • And suddenly...Pandas

  • i dont like your voice but the game is very good

  • it's very nice!

  • Pandas with a flame thrower? I'm game. ;O

  • this game is san andreas mod

  • awlsome! Pandas rock!

  • wow an ak47 flamethrower

  • good video, but i cant hear you on my laptop...SPEAK UP lol =P

  • Hey would you like to join a professional gaming team of 25 people? If your interested contact me at m.meyer@vxtream,.com

  • hahah panda with a gun

  • yeah pandas with guns

  • Yout hard work should be pay off

  • PANDA MASSACRE!!!!!!!!!!!! NAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • that house is from oblivion..........

  • @Aaron212444 yes it is -.-, how did he do that?

  • @Studios102 I've used Niftools to import the models from oblivion into 3DS Max. Then i export them to Ogre 3D using OgreMax.

  • err, can you make your own 3D objects, like design your own?

  • @AussieRaver1996 with a 3d modeling program like blender or 3ds max maya ect you can.

  • @Polymorphiic yeh thanks anyways, i downloaded autodesk maya 2012, i think i know what i want to be when im older lol =P

  • @AussieRaver1996 yea its a interesting field you should check out UDK if you like game development

  • @Polymorphiic ty ill check it out tomoz, gotta go to bed, can't wait till i can create my own game 1 day

  • i hate it when your making a map and you make 1 wrong code and theres a huge hole it in, scares me for some reason lol

  • You Develop all this alone?

  • very very good job !

  • looks like half of that is from elder scrolls lol

  • funny

  • you can do it all in blender.

  • Nice Work.

    designed really well.

nice game engine, nice phy, nice effects.

  • nice textures!

  • FLAME TROWING AK 47 :X

  • Wow!

    Thats really nice!

  • @luke3413 True, sorry maybe I misread it, you are suddenly so bitchy about it.

  • people play COD

  • @laura1992mar quick!? haha learning it is not quick. and if you don't want to be a sloppy programmer uni is the way to go. self tut websites you pick up way too many bad habits. and sorry mate are you a fully qualified computer science student are you? no i diddnt think so.

  • RUN MR. PANDA, THE HUNTER'S GOT A TOMMY GUN!

  • Who the fuck lets a panda have a ak-47.

  • i would pay money for this

  • I fucking love pandas now.

  • I would call the game: Panda' pwns' all

  • a panda with a gun? i'm totally buying this game

  • Have you made this game from scratch?? How did you draw all the "pieces"??

  • @RanieroSupremo91 The geometry is mostly a collage of stuff from different games and free models. It was just for testing, i import them into 3ds max and then arrange the object properties with the 3ds plugin. Is easy to model a map editor there since you can divide the geometry in "chunks" and snap them to the map grid.

  • @RanieroSupremo91 LOL all the models and Building/Physics are from Oblivion. He added a bear and some guns from other games, Everything in that house Table food Chairs The "House" are all Oblivion Meshes/Textures

  • Hey nice game, how long did it take to make? Would it be possible you could send me the source code? I won't use it in my own projects just want to look at it for ideas/greater understanding? If not thanks anyway. Good job!

  • Hardware specifications please?what's ur CPU?RAM?Video Card?

  • @annie2fern2cruz This demo was running on a AMD Athlon 64 3000+ with an Nvidia 6600GT video card (128mb), and 2gb of RAM.

  • can anyone tell me the name of the psy track?

  • @TheBillyosic Painkiller vs Bliss, and the song is named Out of phaze ;)

  • Nice job , seems to be awesome :)

  • The house comes from Oblivion

  • Hey uploader...Do i need to be very very good in math at school to do this?? I can't get maths but i m fuckin CREATIVE!

  • @CodeMaster9000 same, and im already making games and im 13! You need maths but you shouldn't stress on it too much. Creativity is the backbone of games

  • @TheHappyWhaleshark Im not that good at math, but having a strong knowdlege about trigonometry its key to game development. Specially the math involving vectors, matrices, quaternions, and translation and rotation calculations. It all depends how much you want to involve in the development, you can use libs wich make everything for you, but its always good to know whats going on uder the hood.

  • @TheHappyWhaleshark hey but ur profle shows u r 20! WHAT'S THIS DUDE!

  • @CodeMaster9000 ....then be level designer or concept artist because yes you need to be good at math

  • @frumpy10182 psh... no you dont... I cant even add yet without my fingers and i just finished programming my first game using only C++ OpenGL and JAVA... only took me 2 hours and I cant even READ or WRITE! I wrote a program that reads and writes for me... BioWARE bought my game... but I dont know if I got paid enough... they game me $12 and I dont have that many fingers....

LoL... no but yeah you do need to know how to do math @CodeMaster9000

  • @frumpy10182 is it true really...i m so hoppeless

  • @CodeMaster9000 you dont need to be a math genius, but you do need to know at least all the way up to Algebra 3/Trig., you need to be able to read (duh) and learn the hundreds of functions that u need in C++ or Java

  • @TrophyEnthusiast life is sooo complicated

  • @CodeMaster9000 yeah well that's because humans make it complicated

  • @TrophyEnthusiast am I on a good start if I'm a sophomore in high school who has taken algebra 1 geometry, going to algebra 2, not sure what other math classes yet, have taken animation, and have a lot of experience with advanced logistics in littlebigplanet2 XD lol. But in all seriousness I think I do want to get into this, what classes are best to take and what are good schools for things like programming and making games. (lol sorry my computer science terms are probably off)

  • @Gosox2525 all you really need is a pc,the internet, and will to learn.

step 1)Learn what kind of game you want to make, etc.

step 2)Learn a programming language. Or you could swap 1 and 2, it doesn't matter.

step 3)Learn a gaming engine with its API calls.

step 4)Learn gaming theory, collision detection, etc.

Personally though,If you like programming in gerneral, learn to program first.

    Then, learn game programming second.

    You'll be more versatile.

    walk before run!

  • @Gosox2525 I know you're responding to someone else, but if I may comment... you NEED Calculus. Even if you don't take it in high school. You say you're going to Alg 2 (I'm assuming you junior year?)... you need to get a lot of math in. I doubled up in math to get in Calculus my senior year, you may want to consider that. You'll also be taking a LOT of math in college... computer science is as much math as it is computers.

  • @Gosox2525 And as for schools, there are many. I would recommend getting a computer science degree, but a game development degree will work. Computer Science will give you broad knowledge of the subject of computer technology in general, which you won't get with game development. You can focus on game development skills later. Just look up the top CSC schools for your area. If you want game specific and game degrees, look up Full Sail or DigiPen.

  • @Gosox2525 LASTLY (Sorry for all replies) what jcash said is true, if you can commit. I, on the other hand, NEED to be forced to learn to be taught something or I struggle learning, so I'm going to college for it. I want to focus on game programming, but I would like to learn all aspects of game development. I'm going to UNC Chapel Hill for CompSci, Full Sail for Game Dev, and Vancouver Film School for 3d modeling/animation... but over a LARGE period of time, not consecutively.

  • @NutritiouslyHigh Thanks alot man, and I was actually thinking about full sail. Know any other good colleges for it? The only other one I found was Tribeca flashpoint in Chicago but it only offers certificate and associates

  • @Gosox2525 Rochester Institute of Technology is a good one too, or so I've heard (I still prefer Full Sail, but RIT's is still nice) Just make sure that you get into a game DEVELOPMENT degree, not DESIGN (RIT's is more dev than design so it's good). Developers do the real work (programming, art, etc) and designers basically just tell them what to do, but lack the skills to do it themselves. If you ever want to make your own game, game design will not allow you to do that.

  • @Gosox2525 Also, at RIT, the MS and BS programs for GameDev are structured differently. If you're interested in the college, look up "RIT game development" on youtube and click the Game On video, the guy in the video explains the programs.

  • @NutritiouslyHigh ok thanks alot, ill check it out

  • @TrophyEnthusiast well like you have been told, you need lots of math , i recomend that you take College Algebra in high school, and if you want take visual basics, as for me i skipped that class and took C++ and Ap Computer Science Java in one year but wasnt able to take the next course (all gameing course) because i am a senior and im taking those 2 classes right now, so yeah you definatly NEED to take BOTH of those classes your junior year and than the next level class your senior year

  • @CodeMaster9000 Programming is going to require math, patience, creativity (which you have), and of course physics. But do not let that stop you, if you really want to game program or even program a software you can do it. Good question by the way.

  • @CodeMaster9000 Like many have said, yes it requires math. You say you can't get math, but you didn't include the word "currently." You can do anything with practice, trust me.

  • @CodeMaster9000 if u have 2 or 4 in math don't worry u can make ur game :)

  • @MegaArkade

dude are you in elementry school jajajjajajajajajja

  • @loko95ftp yep

  • @CodeMaster9000 No no no. You need to know algebraic equasions well, and you DO have to know math well, but not super genious or anything. As long has you've taken algebra in school before its fine. Its all about learning the language.

  • @CodeMaster9000 then learn UDK its a premade game engine its free and it was used to make gears of war mass effect and more check out TheNewBoston for tutorials

  • @CodeMaster9000 Trust me , you don't really need math for game programming ;)

Unless you're going to write your own engine with physics and stuff(which is all included in Ogre3D)

  • @CodeMaster9000 trust me all u need is that and patient to not to go bererk if something goes wrong

  • @CodeMaster9000 for programming in general? no. for games in 3d? hell yes you need to know your math. the amount of trigonometry you'll need is astounding.

  • @CodeMaster9000 You should be editing the graphics. you need tons of math for programming.

  • @CodeMaster9000 its not truely math except for algorithms for calculating charater health and such. If your that worried though there is more then one path you can take in game deisgn, most ppl think of programmers but there are actual ppl that do concept art, do strictly environments from various engines, just do a little google research on game develpoment and youll see the many different careers.

  • Hey uploader...Do i need to be very very good in math at school to do this??

  • oblivion rocks!

  • great work,, i've just started my BS in computer sciences, the last summer, and in the last week i've made a bounce game, , i think its enough for my level,,

  • AWESOME GAME

  • wtf dude you used Oblivion model xD

  • what music session is?

  • How did you do the collision? I know the math and i can code it if i have a set of all the points in the area model, but how do you actually load the points from a file?

  • EPIC, a panda with an AK-47-flamethrower

  • @Exdozolie a panda in a panzer is epic too

  • is this counter_strike PANDA MODE :D:D:D:D:D

  • did you put the game on the net?

    cause you should do it!!!

  • Pistols for Pandas! This cause is good!

  • Hello ! Nicr job !

How many times did you spent on this project ?

    Are you working alone ?

  • hey its oblivion :D

  • Comment removed

  • hey love the video, can you give me a few pointers on starting to code 3D games and a website i could learn message me thankyou

  • GOOD JOB!!!

i have one qwestion for you: im iterested about game development/programming, and i know c++. so can you tell me where culd i start?

  • @HipHopBeatG Well, i use Ogre 3d, and im really confortable with it, so i'll suggest you download the lib and experiment around with the examples.

Its a VERY large lib and it takes time to understand how it works, but if you are good with c++ and are experienced with other libs, its not going to be that hard.

The Ogre forum is also very good, i suggest creating a user there.

    Good luck.

  • @HipHopBeatG i suggest unity 3d There is a guy with awesome tutorials. His channel is BurgZergArcade.

  • @plooto1234 I would say C++ with SDL to start with, than later on begin with OpenGL instead of C++.

  • How long did this take you and did you work alone?

  • nice work

  • wow bro 0__0

  • lol that house is from oblivion

  • Make tutorials

  • I am very interested in this kind of development. Can you please

  • @XpertProgramer There´s very many tutorials out there, try to googling "C++ with SDL tutorial" or something like that.

  • looks like a css and oblivion selfmade xDD

  • make gravity 10x higher for prop physics :)

    Nice rigging btw

  • Panda eh? well it seems better then naughty bear

  • you pick a house in oblivion lol

  • PANDA! yay, that would be awesome to have a game where you are a pana xD

  • Haha I find it cool when the Panda started shooting flames out of an A.K.

  • the panda runs like gabriel logan - syphon filter

  • 0:15 tavern from TESIV Oblivion?

  • So thats why they don't give pandas flame throwers!

  • Gay. Why does a panda need a gun? Boo. Boo for war. Fail.

  • @Foaman do you have any idea about how hard it is to make a game

  • @presidentdaterape Not only do I know how hard it is to make game..., I know how hard it is to make a game engine, along with OS and compiler. ;)

  • @Foaman Yay for non-violent pandas. :)

  • Im confused... whats the difference between the three programs? can you make games and that on any of them or do you have to use all three?

  • Aint that the buildings and food from Oblivion ?

  • is that a m14 that is shooting fire ??
