Dalai Lama was appointed by the Chinese government just like his predecessors. People in the west are easily brain-stained by their governments.
I practice Buddhism, but I am not a fan of Dalai Lama, in fact I regard him as a terrorist. As I have lived most of my life in the west where I sufferred human rights abuses and witnessed my fellow citizens sufferring in silence by the same corruption, I am deeply resentful towards western governments' criticism of China on human rights issues.
What happened in Tibet in March 2008 is a pre-meditated terrorist attack by Dalai against Chinese people with support from his western allies. Just look at the lies that the US packed Falungong news NTDTV and the western media's one sided China-smear campaigns. Western leaders even asked China to restrain towards rioters, and they have no balls to call on David Cameron to restrain towords rioters, DO THEY?!
It's sad to see innocent people worshipping a terrorist, but they will learn.
The then Australian PM Kevin Rudd and NZ PM Helen Clark called on China to exercise restraint on Tibetan rioters. Restraint is a word for conflicts between 2 hostile sovereignties. As neither Australia nor NZ recognises Tibet as a seperate country, Kevin Rudd and Helen Clark had both made fools of themselves. And both of the them lost the top job, HA karma served them right!
Western democracies are not only wasting their taxpayers’ money supporting the terrorists like the Dalai Lama, but also making their people vulnerable to these dangerous organizations.
The allegations that the head of Canberra's Tibetan Buddhist community Lama Choedak had sexual relationships with several female students emerged late 2010. And the women received stern warnings from senior foreign figures in the Tibetan Buddhist movement against them going public. Canberra Times 1/5/11
Before 1959 Tibet was a theocracy ruled by the monks and the privileged wealthy classes who lived in luxurious palaces - 95% of the population were serfs (basically slaves) living under the most horrendous conditions and abject poverty.. "Infractions" by the serfs were punished by the lopping off of arms and the plucking out of eyeballs This doesn't sound so non-violent to me!
One country is ruled by a regime of corporate gangsters who care more about personal power and wealth than the fate of their own nation, and know more about subversion and terrorism than about basic accounting or logic.
dalai lama, pope, governor, president, prime minister, dictator, boss they're all the same, different atire, different accent, different approach but all the same fucking ends. The GOD IS YOU! but they don't want you to realize that because it fucks them and their agenda..whatever the fuck that may be. all men were created equal and in one image. so who the fuck made these fucks "the boss"?..answer: themselves...wake the fuck up lambs. take the chain out your mental and put your brain in it.

@scruffyrunkin Sure he talks and excepting you people listen that is because who he is. You can’t express yourself without resorting to profanity and anger; this shows what kind of person you are. I suggest you go to a war video and praise the people who are the opposite of this holy man and keep your anti peace feelings in your perverted mind.
@walkertongdee what really is a "holy man"?hmm? peace is an illussion created by masterminds to keep you pre-occupied from realizing the truth about your real self and thus the begining of your true search for enlightenment. man's world is cloaked in sheeps clothing. and what you call "profanity" is simply an extremely aggressive way of expressing an exclamation. There is a book titled "Word Play" authoured by John Langdon...IT'LL SHOW WHAT KIND OF PERSON YOU ARE!..read it..knowledge is power!
@scruffyrunkin Because people falsely believe in there are good and bad people and they want to be good people and do what the leaders say so they dont get called bad people. the problem is that people look up to leaders...the problem is not that people look up...
Respond to this video... Dali Lama is a leader... Ghandi was a leader... Jesus was a leader. Martin Luther King was a leader... President of China... Boss
What does it religion has to do with anything..... is the way of thinking what matters. religion is the great sickeness!!! if we all could think as the Dalai Lama we all will become a better person and on the road of bettering out world
thank you for posting this. Simply the best person to learn from. everything he says can change your life for the better. everyone should listen to him.

Except for the ban on Dorje Shugden, not a single Tibetan god or demon has been discriminated against or abolished, and no other practitioner of any other Tibetan god or demon has been persecuted. Dalai Lama doesn't even speak out against any other religion, cult, occult. Why Dorje Shugden?!
The Dalai Lama has singlehandedly promoted Buddhism throughout the western world, and highlighted the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden and made him the most well known dharma Protector ever!

what a stupid Holly man? I do not think his word is nothing special , it is just a stupid political monk. when he was in Tibet, he did nothing to those slaves. does those slaves has any human right when Dalai was in Tibet? nothing. please read the realhistory about the dark side of Tibet .when Dalai was in Tibet before 1959,
Im christian but I think this guy is truly a remarkable human being!
And I love how if someone has a different religion he just would just say "I respect your religion/views etc." whereas most religious figures would preach about how they're right.
There are many Buddhist scriptures. A collection of the oldest ones are called Tipitaka (or Tripitaca). There are also other sutras (Budda's speeches) e.g. The Lotus Sutra, The Heart Sutra, The Diamond Sutra.
"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. (..) Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it" Buddha
Politically, only a peaceful approach is valid. Non violent resistance works. It is the only approach that will eventually convince people. In a situation where a mother defends her family against invadors trying to kill her and her family, she has the right to use a gun in my opinion. But the Buddha still would not defend himself with a weapon. Most people are not able to peacefully resist because of fear.
What a great human being....May he always be Healthy, Happy and Wise :-)>

@lostbuffalo ... and people dont even look up to leaders...they look up to bosses and call them leaders.
leaders find what the people want and find a way to lead them to it if they chose to follow...
Bosses impose the agenda of their superiors upon the backs of their subordinates. Bosses don't lead and they don't care what the people want

@lostbuffalo It's time for the people to stop falsely honouring bosses as leaders.
