Some people accept that lies told in campaigns are one-off events in order to get elected. But in reality our own history and memory suggests that campaign lies are the tip of the iceberg. Once elected and the pressure of the campaign is over, the liars seem to, without exception lie at every opportunity to the public for personal or political gain. Bush showed us before 2000 he was dishonest and he continued it.
