@ Tuts999. Hey Tuts , I know you have some thru hikes under your belt.... Do you plan to do another one soon and do you know of the finger lake trail.... ??? Watching your video on my lunch hr.... I work on the roads & hways where everyone is on their cellphone & not paying attention.... So I'm ready to escape this ray race soon... Happy Trails and keep trekking my friend !!!!
@zukowitz1 I do know of the FLT actually and it is on my list of future hikes. If you're curious about my plans, keep tabs on me using my website trekkingon. com. I usually have my plans posted on there, as well as tons of other resources and information. Thanks again for the interest and great comments.
Trying to get out of this rut I been in and watching your thru hikes have been good therapy.... I also didnt know that where ever there was a blue marker on tree u could camp.... My dad lives close to rosa gap and gunks and I hike that area to Sams Point every once in a while... Great Stuff !!! Thank u
@zukowitz1 Thanks so much. Yeah from what I read, that is the case with the blue markers, but actualy they seem to be far more numerous than they should be. In that area, I believe that it is correct, but not in all areas of the NYLP. Very glad you enjoyed the films and thanks for the comment.
I wish I knew of a way to get in contact with him. Never knew his last name. He was a very cool guy and down to earth. Liked to roll his own cigarettes haha. He hiked along with us for a couple days. Running into him at a sandwich shop was so surprising. I was pulling into the parking lot when he shoots around the corner on a road bike. Very random and unexpected haha. Like I said, it's a small world.
Oh I almost forgot. I looked through your slide show of your AT thru hike and noticed you met someone I ran into a couple days before in Georgia. I was backpacking with my troop in Feb. Of 09 and ran into a guy named Luke. I saw him in your slideshow and thought it was pretty cool that you were only a day behind me when you started. I also ran into him randomly a year after that in a sandwich shop. Small world haha.
@MrDrew45259 Wow, do you know how to get in touch with him? That's just amazing. He was toying with trail names when we hiked together for about a week or more. At the time, he was called Rail, but I got news that he changed it later. He was one of my first three trail companions. I met his mom and everything lol. Lots of memories.
Love your videos man. Very inspiring. I'm going to be going to Western Carolina University in the fall. I was was wondering what your thoughts are of the AT through the Nantahala's. Is it worth checking out? What was your favorite place while you were going through there? Looking forward to your response!
@MrDrew45259 Is 3 minutes too long of a wait? The AT through the Nantahalas is just fantastic. Awesome vistas, ridge walking, steep climbs, rocky but with a very well maintained trail and lots of shelters. I really liked the NOC when I went through, but it was well before the season so it was completely empty. I suppose my favorite part was the ridgewalk from the border of Georgia up through to Franklin. Check it all out. Good luck and thanks for everything you said.
@Panoptic555 Actually, I've been thinking of doing some research into the hammock tents. The more I research about trails, the more I realize how rare shelters are on most of the trails out there. I'll have to find a more permanent solution than my current tent. Thanks for the comment, and you kind words.
Woo hoo first to comment, but great videos tuts. I really like your videos. Can you make a video of what you carried on this trip. Thanks. Keep up the great work.
@mariner156 Thanks for the comment. I really appreciate the interest. There will be sort of a recap part to my last video of this film where I talk about the gear. The reason I haven't spent much time on the subject is because I pretty much carry the same gear on every hike. A complete gear list for this trip will soon be available on the TrekkingOn website.

Am I the only one who would not mind having a 10-minute long video of Tutts just doing more "Road Walking" segments?

You need a hammock. Solves all the shelter dilemmas :)
Seriously though, love the vids!
