  • Great video!

  • my parents sucked

  • dont say that. just try to be a better parent yourself.

  • This a great video. However, the evidence that is presented as of late proves that the brain continues to grow well past the teenage years. The technology that exists, Voxel Based Morphometry, can actually detect that the surface of the cerebral cortex can grow in less than 3 months (5%) by simply learning to juggle and perfecting the skill. This indicates that a new learned procedure by the hands influences growth of new dendrites but also increases the population of the white matter cells.

  • i wish i am had a brain. ;/

but i'm NOT fucking stopied! i can count to potato.

  • @Alexspazzz 4chan fucker

  • a wonderful informative movie great...

  • This is a great video.

I have a question though what happens to those kids/teens who had mostly negative experiences?? Can they still "fix" the connections made or is that permanent?

  • Yes of course they can , by working hard with all the ability through the behaviors they need which can change it because humans brain don't accept anything fast

  • this means the day a baby is born he has the be genious potential im gona have a genious for my self then

  • every thing is fixed think possitive lifes beautiful

  • Brain chip - CHECK MY SITE.

  • Finally, a clear, concise, explanation of how important experience is in developing the brain of a young child. Positive experience fosters stronger connections between neurons. Stronger neuron connections help a child learn. You said what was needed in less than 6 minutes. I hope parents and educators will take heed and make a conscious effort to improve the value of their child's experiences. One thing I would add is "multi-sensory" stimulation fires neurons and makes connections stronger.

  • I agree with nearly everything you said, but one detail. I believe that he meant it as positive and negative experience both bring nueron connections of the same strength, but one just leads to bad decisions. Doesn't diminish the fact that positive experiences are very important tho.

  • I wish things like this video were a part of the popular culture everywhere on this planet... Not gonna happen in the near future though. But thanks for the efforts, you're still making a difference.
