  • every word made sense, great lesson

  • This dude is an amazing teacher!

  • so when you wet sand you. use 600 wet 800 wet 1000 wet 1500 wet and 2000wet?

  • @theRDRmanReviews It really depends on the paint, some are softer then others, this will come with more trials. It depends what your trying to do as well. If you have a show car with 5 coats of clear then yes you can start with 1000 then work your way up to 2000. but the factory clear coats usually only have 1 coat of clear. If you have a scratch I would highly recommend using 2000 to start.

  • @loveja1 i see thanks brah

  • Meguiar's makes some of the best detailing products available, people think expensive is always better, just cause they don't have a $200 boutique wax doesn't make them a bad brand

  • meguiars stuff sucks

  • All cars coming of the Assembly line has orange peel...You'll be able to see it with the correct light and trained eye...

  • I have some mild orange peel on my car, should I wetsand or use some compound ?

  • Be VERY careful with wetsanding a factory clear coat, if it's only mild, I'd say leave it as it's hard to remove without seriously compromising the (factory) clear coat.

  • Some factory clear coats can be so thin it is hard to remove the orange peel without breaking through.

If there is a small out of the way panel you could do a test with 2000 and see how it feels but be very careful and stay away from the edges...

  • lol, rotary buffing isn't all that hard, just don't buff against any edges. Like he says, practice!

  • very well spoken teacher and informative series. obviously knows his stuff, and conveys it simply :)

  • You toolbag...he's teaching a class all teachers sound like douchebags. Try teaching yourself you'd sound like a nublet douchebag.

  • so, why did you sit and watch for 9:55 if you thought it was bad?

  • No offense I have never been impressed with meguiar's stuff. 3Ms compounds and finishing glazes are much better from what I have experienced. The instructions in the video are great though.

  • I would rather use 3M products as well. Meguiar's is too flashy, and not so much about the product.

  • love how people think painters grow on trees......its a fuckin science !!!! pure science ,the applicator become better than the inventor

  • actually I think you mean its an art. very person dependent.

  • Painting is one of the few things where you can go by the book one day and everything will work out great. Do the same the next day and it fail, you have to be intuitive you have to feel it in your body not just your head.

  • I'm agree! you have to feel it, its some kind of natural instinct. Not every one are good for paint and also for color sand and buff. I have years working on this field and not every one are for this art profession.

This video are ok but never can teach something you have natural. Just one of two options, you born with this talent or not.

  • Excellent video, Great training material.

  • Good educational video before you pick up a rotory polisher and distroy your the paint on your new or classic car.

    Bob

  • its really really good .. this guys knows his stuff i say from expericence the funnest part of a body paint for my self is the wetsanding .. its simply fun

  • this teacher is very very good, he knows the way to get it in your mind, i mean it !!
