CTS-V and ZR1 both have superior handling than their foriegn competition, the M5 and the GT-R.

As for overall preformance, American cars are better. They're more affordable in general, too. The only fairly-priced European cars are French cars, which are all shit, and I'm guessing some Italian cars like Alfa-Romeo and Fiat. I'd also guess that they're pretty reliable.

Today's corvettes do handle and perform very well, but i wouldn't go as far as saying that their performace can compare to the likes of a Ferrari F430, Porsche 911, or Lamborghini.

Also, companies such as porsche are renown for using very high quality materials, inside and out which makes them more reliable than a comparible american or italian car. Have you seen the episode of top gear where jeremy tries to kill a 911? they're surprisingly tough.

Get the idea? Just because Europe has higher standards in terms of preformance, doesn't make them GOD. Just because a Corvette Z06 is 1/3 the price of a Ferrari F430 and gets nearly twice the gas mileage, while still maintaining superior acceleration, top speed, and handling DOESN'T MEAN THAT EUROPE MAKES BETTER CARS.

As for Japan, they don't have any high preformance cars except the GT-R, but we have the ZR1 to compete with that.

Ah thank you for reminding me. That also brings up a good point of gas milege from supercars. When people buy a supercar they never talk about why, because they say they don't care. Trust me they should care in a Vette you get 18/26, I think hopefully someone knows the real numbers. It's good to know that you can step on the pedal at full throttle knowing that you didn't just empty your tank.
