yes, its called the white dragon cut and also includes many scenes made by the author `white dragon`. search him on youtube under the alias kazuchoice.
This movie does not need a sequel like the works of richard wargner nor the thought of leonardo or other life like that of Adolf hitler.esta movie is a masterpiece and must remain so, a greeting
Scott has mentioned the possibility of a sequel recently. I hope so. It really could be beautiful if they kept the same mood and settled only for top notch actors. Also they could include Juliane Hough as a dancing replicant beauty. (she is "unreal" already) Obviously the primary bad guy would have to be played by Dick Cheney. That way the final scene could be done without special effects. Just snuff the f*cker!
I used to be excited by the idea of a sequel, but the more I think about it, the more I feel that a sequel would be a disappointment. It would get focus-grouped to death. And if they based it on that piece of crap "The Edge of Human" novel, we'd be royally screwed. Possibly the most inconsistent sequel I've ever had the displeasure to read.
he DID say " I want more life FUCKER on the old version i have... i watched this film an unhealthy nimber of times, and listened to the soundtrack even more... pity there isn't more SF this mature.... guess it just costs too much ...and it sells no toys.
I remember in about 1983-1984, I used to watch this on cable everytime I could. My favorite line was "I want more life, Fucker." Years later when I got the movie on VHS, I found that it had been re-edited and moved to a different spot in the scene. I was pissed. It was perfect exactly where it was! Now, I believe they even have him saying "I want more life, Father."
Oh, and just incase you lack the mental capacity to ascertain the humor in my comment, please allow me to elucidate for you:
Your name is Freshpants3, thus implying there are two Freshpants ranked ahead of you.
My assumption that your pants are no longer fresh smelling is due to the predication that you literally SHIT yourself when you realized what an idiotic statement you'd made.
One of the most telling deleted scenes is on the rooftop at the film's climax when Gaff says "You've done a man's job...but are you sure you're a man?"
you may not think this is a masterpiece, but as someone deeply influenced by al of the bladerunner themes, i thought your piece both deeply moving and succinct.
should there be ever be a sequel by other than RIdley- i'd hope that he's have your hand with the emotional context.
Vangelis is releasing a 3 disc special edition this xmas. It will contain the original 1994 version, another disc of content not used, and the 3rd disc is ultra rare music not used nor heard b4. stay tuned.
It is hard to imagine, because nothing can top "Blade Runner." Period.
A remake, or a sequel would just suck ass. That's just a fact. And that is why they haven't even attempted to remake this masterpiece. The same goes for "2001: A Space Odyysey."
Hey Transformers, theres a couple of paperback sequels 'Replicant Night' & 'The Edge of Human' (novels by K.W. Jeter) that would potentially be the basis of a film that would 'better' the Ridley Scott classic. A film or hopefully 2 films that could be made sometime please God : which could top the remake unseating Ridleys production at least for a brief period of time as the new classic.
the only problem is that holly wood execs would fuck up that great idea and fill it with music and too much digital like they did in 300. those pricks lack even a grain of sand's worth of imagination.
I wholly agree. Star Wars was in the infancy of CG when they made the first/last three films and in MHO, it was ruined by poor CG. The best part of this film was the set design and soulfulness of the story and music. The financers of a new Bladerunner would not let Ridley Scott or whoever was to take up this kind of project do it properly. It would take time. Lots of time. And lots of money.
I agree with you man. With todays effects more is possible. So if a great script got made and the producers hired a great visionary director, a potentially better sequel could be made. Just that no-one has the balls to tamper with such a wonderful first film and story.
there is an extended batty/elevator scene that includes the tyrell/sebastian kill scene and then an extended batty/elevator scene. top quality that will be worth the wait.
Tyrrel's death must be one of the most grusome murders in cinematic history. I'm no softie, but the live skull crushing tarnishes an otherwise brilliant film, IMHO.
nice cut by the way. the music at the end is a vangelis track,g "Rachels Son" from esper and original blade runner soundtrack. Not used in director's cut or original and probably neither versions till this day. When i first heard found the score in my early teens i thought it was amazing and moving. Always wishing there was a scene with it. I really hope they use it in some form in the Final Cut. Dec 18.
well, the BR-Final Cut is just around the corner. this is a video originally posted on Bladezone last year. Its not a video masterpiece, infact it was originally a private project for myself to get to grips with adobe premiere. after scanning the net and taking clips from the workprint, i then placed them together and added the music score. checkout the racheals music score near the end that fits the video of her playing the piano.
Ah! Adobe Premiere...good choice, sire! Though I used to use Avid, then Discreet *Logic system, I dig Premiere. Thanks for the compilation! After watching Renaissance, I needed a fix on my favorite future noir. :-)
Pretty good! Though I'm pretty sure your last couple of shots are not from the Blade Runner film or even made for it, but from a LightWave animation made more recently. I fondly remember that Lightwave 5 came with a demo scene of a Spinner and part of the Blade Runner LA. Much fun to be had for a BR fan like me...
Fascinating video!

According to Bladezone, Father was used in one of the sneak previews, but was then used on the US home video market/Cable tv.
In the UK, the word was cut altogether, but later replaced in recent years.
Having Rutger say "Father" brings a totally new dimension to the scene altogether, and certainly gets my vote.

TYRELL: Would you like to be modified? BATTY: Had in mind something a little more radical.
TYRELL: What's the problem? BATTY: Death.
TYRELL: I'm afraid that's a little out of my... Batty cuts in with a whisper.
BATTY: I want more life, fucker!
