My 08 Busa was running 9.68 qtrs stock @ 148 mph so this 10 second ZX 14 is still not the King....They tested it agaainst a slower model Busa....SMH...
In its clas ZX-14 is the king. But about numbers. BMW S1000RR time to 1/4 mile is 9.56. So much about king of motorcycles. Dont get me wrong. I like ZX-14 more than S1000RR. ZX-14 is my kind of bike. But stop with that domination crap. Liter bikes have eat busa and ZX-14. Understandable. I mean, ZX-10 have much less weight aand same power as ZX-14 and 440 cc less. Cmon. If Kawasaki want to make ZX-14 a drag king, then give him 250 HP (at 1441 cc in sport bike class, that is the power wanted).
OMG, its all going to kill you dead if you dont ride it with commen sense, and i smart noggin, i would be happy with anyone of those bikes, but if it comes down to i have to pick one? its neither bike here, its the BMWS1000RR, but thats me
As said, it's 95% rider with these two bikes matched so close. I have S1000rr and would like to run either of these to compare times with even launch and see which is really the Daddy?? It would be a tight finish!! Although I've seen the BMW running 150 mph traps stock. But all three , same strip, same time, same rider would shut two of the three manufactures mouths full stop! Who's will take the Title Belt???
Regardless, both are very quick bikes. I prefer the Busa's looks over the ZX though. Those fake Testarossa side vents just 'ugly-up' the Ninja. This is a Kawi produced video...I'm sure Suzuki has made one that shows the Busa winning the races...lol!!

The point its those are two amazing bikes and whilst one rider pref. the zx14 the other one likes the busa more, taste differs. As long as it has only 2 wheels it's a bike, so get over it, hating each other won't stop a cager from hugging you any more than picking your nose would...

What cracks me up, Gadson ran a 9.31 on a stock 08' Busa and he ran a 9.30 or .28 on the Stock 08' ZX14 back in 08' when they had a shoot out. I'm sure someone can find pics and or the video's. My 08 busa, short wheel base, stock everything with me 215 suited went 9.50@149 @4500da in 100 degree heat back to back in AZ, stretched it and it went 9.20@149 with a 1.40 60ft on the rear tire foot shifting. Suzuki needs to handle this 14.
Look I know the buss will pull the wheels up down the track yet the only bike being pushed is the zx14... Listen closely to the shift the buds is being sand bagged the zx14 is heavier with more power the busa is lighter with the same horsepower to weight ratio... That equals dead even times.. Gadsen is paid by kawasaki not a fair deal on the busa... Dead even bikes

9.74 in the quarter? My 12R ran 9.9 back in 2001. Hell, I'll buy a used 12R, throw on a couple mods and smoke that 14 and STILL be well under the $14K price tag. And the 12R is a better looking bike in my opinion.

Nice bike ... very nice and I would love to have one but to come out again to "barely beat" the Suzuki... is that it ? After 5 years is this it ? 6 MPH on the 1/4 mile with all those extra cc

@MrKeyshill Yup they have..You forgot your History?? kz1000..Plus the 750 two stoke (widowmaker). Too far back?? The fastest street bike for 7 yrs...Almighty zx11 ! ! The zx14 rules now..but Suzuki will probably fight back..next year.

Probem is BUSAs are FUGLY plain and SIMPLE just look at the rear end it is UGLY and so is the front Kawi is alot nicer imho and this is from an XX rider.
No use trying to protect the BUSA,, bottom line is the stock new 2012 ZX14 is just a flat out faster motorcycle and you know what thats OKAY

The busa boy's can cry all the want, its ok guys the busa was the biggest thing back in 99 and for a long time and other smaller bikes came and went that come close but that time is over so grow up and get over it cause all that crying makes you sound like busa girl's

hayabusa owners like me dont make excuses...Because numbers dont lie...The hayabusa own all the records in drag racing...And on top of all that the busa is heavier and has a smaller engine...So whats kawasaki's excuse

Stock Busa runs much much faster than a 10.11 I have a 2001 gsxr1000 still stock motor that is running 9.84 so don't tell me that the Busa only can run 10.11 this is a promo for kaw but of course they are gonna run the busa slower............
